I decided to play a couple of games this afternoon, but instead wound up with this mess. One of the guys spent the whole game running into a building while firing (I'm assuming that was a bot?) *Sigh* I just want to play the friggin game...   Hanger police!!! Don't run how you want to run or they will post pics on the forum. :/ who the exactly are you OP to tell anyone how to play this game they want?  I find that disgusting. |

Well tankers have ruined 1 out of every 2 games last two days...When the leagues dropped the tanking pretty much disappeared for a short window...now its back ...Two weeks D-bags...2 weeks. Tard league awaits.

That's the beauty of a forum. The OP has the right to express his/her frustration with people that he/she feels are ruining the game experience. It is your right to think that there are tanker police. I can't imagine why it would bother you.

Yes, it can be irritating. But since tanking is so common then statistically we can assume both REDs and BLUEs are equally getting screwed.

When you are running hangars full of weaponless lights, you have intentions to ruin others game, so its pretty fair to be shamed for foul play. Do you think people praise and defend Nick Kyrgious (Or however the name is spelt) for how "Fair" and "Sportsmanlike" he plays tennis? 3. Fixed your post up for you, so its a bit less victimizing and incorrect. Hangar police!!! Hmmm.... I think I just figured it out. Pixonic just needs to add a little consequence to dropping out. IF you do the least amount of damage on a losing team, and your damage is less than half of the next worst pilot on your team, and you have less than 2 beacons, you are fined 5 gold. If you drop out and you are not replaced, you will be fined 5 gold then. Making it less likely you will want to gamble and drop out. You wont fight the minimal amount either because you will be afraid it wont be enough damage. So you will want to make sure you do enough damage that you are not fined. IF you are a beacon runner and like to use fast small bots, you should get at least 2 beacons and that helps your team win games. So you wont be fined. If you suck at capping beacons and only get one beacon with very little damage, you risk getting fined 5 gold. Naaahhh...why fined these players. Pixonic needs customer for their business, and it will be a deterrent with this kind of action. |

A player (like me) already figured the League Sytem because he cannot compete against RED's maxed hangar, or else it will drive him crazy out of frustration. Well, the blame goes to Pixonic of changing the mechanics of the previous matchmaking...that's why the tanking is rampant today.  |

Ok... so the game is broken. Badly. Quite frankly I can understand where some tankers are coming from. I haven't had the top hanger in a game since leagues started and only about 1 in 10 of my games are even close to evenly matched. With the league mechanism allowing all kinds of shenanigans, I could very easily move down a few leagues and play there. The thing that people don't seem to realize is that if you've thought of it, pretty much everyone else has too. So now you're facing the same people you were facing before just two leagues down. Eventually everyone is going to be playing in recruit league. On top of that, you're continuing to play and in some cases, spend money. As long as player numbers and revenue is relatively stable Pixonic has little incentive to take care of this in a timely fashion. So... while I'd like to play the game, it makes more sense to me to just refrain from playing (at least as much) than it does to tank or even just continue soldiering on. Anyway, at this point it's more entertaining to read the rants on this forum than it is to play the game.

I believe I will allow myself to go into the league freefall that this new approach is pushing for and see where that leads me. i posted in another thread but will reiterate it here, the new scoring system doesn't punish tankers, it punishes the few that are left on their team when 2 people drop from the match, before they could still fight their way into the top 2 and salvage some points but now if you have tankers on your team you're losing points no matter how hard you try. Once again pix attempting to fix a problem but punishes the wrong people, all the while the correct answer is staring them in the face |

I mean if at least the old mm was still a thing those weaponless, lazy and evil pilots would be placed with other weaponless, lazy and evil pilots like them, and wouldn't bother us more serious and "ethical" pilots...

It's so absurd to make you play only your best bots and weps otherwise you need to be ready to lose *a few* games.
Where's the fun in only playing the same hangar all the time?!
I'm not gonna spend thousands of $£¥ to upgrade them all to max like a total maniac!!
It's only going to get better from here on, trust me...xD

I turned this around to view this situation positively. I'm kinda overwhelmed at my current league, and was in fact climbing very close to the next league up. New league points came in and along with tankers and ditchers, my points dropped a lot and I'm somewhat hopeful that this will drop me a league or two so I can get easier gold. I try not to look at players who score low or quit as tankers. Could be a DC, could be a bad player, could be a child using his dad's phone and buying him a few gepards along the way. But if you're a 12/12 player with 40% win and 300k average, my tanker radar will go off more easily. It's easy to be frustrated though, winning is better than losing.

How about you just make the higher leagues rewards higher, instead of punishing the people that have bad connection? Make the higher leagues gold reward higher will work, I say.

I'd argue that blaming players for the mistakes of the game developer is unreasonable. Tanking is just the result. Do you blame water for being poisoned? Or do you blame the owners of the factory that dumped poison into the water supply? |

I'd argue that blaming players for the mistakes of the game developer is unreasonable. Tanking is just the result. Do you blame water for being poisoned? Or do you blame the owners of the factory that dumped poison into the water supply? Pretty sure these are the people selling fake medicine for the poison. But if the water would just choose not to have poison in it, nobody would get sick. Some water is the worst. If Pixonic didn't want strong hangars mixed in with new players, they'd of put more restrictions in place. Pixonic is trying to make us angry at each other instead of being angry at them. You are playing right into their hands. Can't we all just become united in blaming Pixonic?  |

Just give us more gold at high leagues, fixes most problems about tanking since it is useless then... and also gives more meaning to leagues.

Hi Guys, I'm a new player, joined mid-March. I really like this game but I'm still obviously learning the ropes. I know about covering, I know about trying to engineer 2v1 situations. I know all that. I barely knew what tanking/dropping is, but I know there are masses of overpowered players in my division. I play at Silver 3 level. Most players at silver 3 should be like me, NEW players. Instead, I can only call them cowards, for cowards is what they are. Are many players who aren't good enough to play with actual veterens, so drop down leagues to play against people like me. I wish Pixonic read this but when ONE player can overpower a game of 12, there is something seriously wrong. Then there are some players of course who just self destruct and ruin the game. Pixonic really need to do something. I'm a paying customer but this sort of behaviour isn't right by Pixonic. I've attached an example. But I've got 20-30 screenshots more. I mean, what's the point of a player like below ruining my game?  |
