I have been playing for about a month and have followed what appears to be the usual route. I upgraded haphazardly until I was outmatched so I browsed the forums and started over with a thunder/schultz setup to build resources, then eventually moved into what I think is a high bronze medium hangar. Although I admit I do not really understand the matchmaking mechanism. This is my current hangar:  I think it is high bronze but I am not sure. The battles are enjoyable and I do reasonably well but I would like to know how far I can safely upgrade before being outclassed by stronger players. I fear I am just below the threshold of constantly being obliterated by tri-mag geps. This is the hangar I am working on: However I don't know if the setup is viable, what I can expect to fight, or what my upgrade goals should be as far as bot/weapon level. I am curious just how much having a britbot will hurt me in the matchmaking. My long term plan is to gradually replace at least one griffin with a rhino and to replace the gep with a stalker or gareth for better survivability. As it stands with current upgrades it seems to hold its own in battles. Am I on the right path? I don't want to find myself hopelessly mismatched again or reaching a dead end with upgrades. Where do I go from here? -edit- I'd also like to have a mid range bot of some kind. Probably not until I can afford a fifth slot. Since the game doesn't seem to be balanced around that type of gameplay right now it is not a priority. |

Making us click over is a bit tedious. In the future, please embed your images.
Your future hangar isn't going to want that Gep. Also, at least one of those Griffins should probably be a PDB. You may also want to ensure you pick up your 5th slot and a plasma Galahad before you start playing it.

Don't know if this is his problem, but the forum version for iOS doesn't give you a lot of options. I had to watch to desktop to embed the image below and it's hella awkward  free

Just switched my Grif to Taran/Magnums for more success. You should convert one. I think your lance could use some missiles too for those pesky rhinos.

IMHO, 2 DB Griffs is a bit overkill and you will be penalized on the big maps. Suggest you either do DB Rhino or swap weps with the Lance. But its sorta preference on the Lance whether you run tarans or orks. Play is different.

Thanks to everyone that replied. I'm not on ios its just that some forums embed images at actual size and people often get frustrated when it stretches the page. I'll follow your advice and get a rhino and a few more plasma guns when I save up the wsp. I have severely underestimate galahad, it'll likely be my next gold purchase. I do have a couple more questions
- How much are the britbots hurting my MM? I don't want to end up way out of my depth
- What upgrades can I make to the weapons on my medium set in order to go up to low silver? I think 4/8 or 4/9 but I don't want to go too far and be slaughtered.

I think 4/8 or 4/9 but I don't want to go too far and be slaughtered. BritBots push you 1-2 tiers. Once you're at 4/6 you can go from there to 4/9 easy peasy. Just upgrade the weapons evenly. |

For Med Bots, anything above 4/6 is low silver. I guess you can go up to 4/8? |

So a 4/6 galahad would even out with other 4/8 mediums in my hangar? No. Once you include Gareth, Galahad, Lancelot, or any WSP bots Carnage, Fujin, Rhino, regardless how low the weapon levels are, you'll be up against low gold level bots more often than not. |
