#Update 2.2. is available on Google Play. What's new:
Halloween event: October 28th - November 7th
— Fight battles to collect event currency and open chests with valuable prizes OR donate it to your clan to open extra clan member slots
— Beware of robot ghosts on the battlefield, don’t let them mislead you
What else:
— Paintjobs: the new feature allows you to give a fresh look to your good old robots. Disclaimer: paintjobs can currently be used for a limited period of time.
— Minor bug fixes

I think that re-arranging priorities is direct effect of Pixonic having new owner. Hoping to be false prophet, but I expect ''pay crates'' to appear before anything else...

The event-related skies and gloomy lighting is ugly as f***. I hope it goes away sooner than later.

If they're only doing stuff like paid skins, then I'm not worried. All I want is good gameplay, aesthetics don't matter to me as long as they aren't dwarf fortress bad.
Event chests and such sounds interesting. What could be in them?

I would be okay with pay crates to some extent. This is one of the few free to play games where you can actually play for free and be competitive. Pixonic has done and continues to do a lot of work while asking relatively little of its player base.

Extra clan member slots is the only thing I am having issues understanding. Donating event currency/ event crates to your clan will unlock new slots for members. Like, 5 donated crates = 1 new clanmember max.. (The numbers are fillers) @paycrates: what would they put in? Doesnt make sense atm (skins eventually. Would even get some if they are not ridiculous priced). @event: nice that they are doing such stuff @minor bugfixes: "minor" MM bugfixes, I hope... |

That's what I took from it as well. I don't think it's a good idea, unless they do this more than once. I hope this is for iOS as well. But, I guess without any more information, it's all speculation.

I hope this is for iOS as well. But, I guess without any more information, it's all speculation. Down lower in the Facebook post on the Android Halloween update, Pixonic said the IOS update (I'm assuming it will be the clan update and the Halloween update) will be out next week....so look for it Oct 23-25 (dates assumed since the event starts Oct 28). i like that we can expand clan slots...having only 36 is somewhat limiting. |

Plus minus I guess. The boxes could be interesting, if there not too much umph in them. The paint is probably a tease to spend money when skins come out. Think I will pass, unless they are a silver based purchase of reasonable price - not likely.

Oh oh - "chests"  This is will start a slide towards War Robots being an overtly P2W game once those chests become items you can simply buy outright rather than by earning them in battle. i just hope Pix offers us real content to make it worth spending real money on - cause I don't mind spending money on immersive content. |

I'd actually prefer the opposite. If they are going to sell us something for $, I'd prefer it be skins and what not, things that don't actually change the play or balance of the game. I can't quite seem to put into words exactly what I mean right now. You start adding boosts and the like to bots or weapons, then it becomes a pissing contest with $.

I'm guessing the loot crates won't be available until the 28th? Any idea if being in a clan will be required? Also, I can't seem to find how to do the paint jobs are the working yet?

What does this mean? It sounds like they are available to use right now, but I cant find them anywhere. What is the Limited time only? We can use Paintjobs currently but in a week we wont get to anymore? Doesnt make sense to spend money, gold. WSP or silver even for something we wont continue to have.

I'm really digging the new darkness of the maps. Power plant almost felt like a different map. Might have been a new spawn location as well. I'm not sure.

If the new paint jobs are only on the test server, why mention them in the update info at all? I was hearing about the new paint jobs being on the test server a month ago and only a small percentage of players go on the test server. To do an update for the actual game that makes me update the game, and to mention the paint jobs are currently available, makes it sound like they are available for everyone. If they are only on the test server, they shouldnt be announced on the update of the actual game.

The way they worded it makes me believe that that paint jobs will be available during the event only, for now. Yes they are on the test server, but I believe that's just, and I use the word loosely, testing new skins.

Dont forget that this thing will be wandering around as a ghost for no reason. Hopefully it means it will be added soon. Was really dissapointed when the Raijin showed up instead of this.

They are getting darker and darker - kinda cook. Might be cool, to on a permanent basis to have different photo periods displayed randomly throughout game play - some weather and other meteorological items would be cool.

Same thing as a Raijin, only for gold instead of WSP, but looking cooler? Could work (a cool looking boa or rhino would be better...).
While I generally avoid Freemium/ f2p Games (cause theyre usually dumb compared to a "full price" PC or PS4 game) this one could certainly do better at creating a steady cash flow.
I did shell 20 bucks, but srsly to support the devs (got me an Orkan and a nudge toward 5th slot).
Now as long as I dont go crazy and waste gold on upgrade times there is zero reason to grab the wallet again... by the time I'll have my high silver hangar I'll have my first Galahad also.
