Have you owned any interesting cars in your lives?
Currently I have a 2017 Subaru Impreza Sport 5 door. I have had 6 Subarus in my life because I life in the snow belt.
Interesting cars I have had: 1968 Chrysler New Yorker, two door. Mint, bought in Florida. Car used to destroy Mustangs and Camaros. 1978 Audi Fox (my high school car). Mazda Protege5 Sport Wagon. (you don't see them a lot)
All of my other cars were pretty normal.

Thank you. If anyone is looking at getting one, first step is talk to an electrician about the home charger. All the houses I've owned were originally wired with a 100 Amp circuit. A decent charger will take 50-90 Amps, so you're probably looking at having to upgrade services. For a single family residence that might cost 2k, for a town home with underground wires the range the utility company gives is 10-20k. It can be a bit of a surprise.

Nah, where I live I would worry about battery range being shortened due to extreme cold temps. If it were just a summer car that would work fine.

I've got you car I was able to drive first. It was this monster: Hm, I now think it might even not get trough VSFT shields because of the nature of the automobile :-) It was THAT scary, actually.

What scale? 2015 Hyundai Genesis. Sadly, had to ditch it for something bigger as my family grew.

Fellow subie owner ;-) I go to the snow a bit and frequent slippery country roads at high speeds during some mornings :-|
Had another WRX before and the rest were uneventful in comparison. I am really longing for an RS3 sedan but wife and kids and my inner self are saying no. costs over $AUS 100K. car prices in Aus are even crazier than dash bot pricing.

Currently driving a 2015 Landrover.
I had a bunch of really old cars in college since they were the only ones you could pick up for a couple hundred dollars. A memorable one was a '78 AMC Gremlin my cousin sold me for a dollar. It was a red white and blue monstrosity that was so light it was a nightmare driving it in the snow. Oh and it had one yellow door for some reason. Also drove a massive El Camino V8, a Pinto (the exploding variety), and a Volkwagen Ghia, which broke down a lot but not as much as the Alfa Romeo. My favorite though was a '50 BMW R51, 500 cc--great motorcycle.

Haha Russel! I'm an Audi driver, two A4s in row and I love them. 1st car was a little Ford 1300 and my coolest car was an original Jeep CJ6 '68 cut to a short wheel base: 3 gears, leaky soft top, off-road beast!

Mazda 6. So average it makes myself even yawn. Some factory "sport package" on it tho, so not that average actually. Used to own a "sleeper" family saloon by Opel. It had amazing Bose sound in it. In a saloon! Mazda has Bose also, but that is utter crap. Unfortunately i crashed my "sleeper" and you know... These european gasoline prices... So came the reasonable Mazda. Had some Fords and Audis before, but nothing worth mentioning.
Edit: not saloon, estate. You know, big wagon.

Cars are not interesting, now if you want to talk motorcycles ....... This is my current ride it will eat most cars without even breaking a sweat. :D I bet it will, if: - road is smooth
- road is dry
- there is no snow
- there is no dirt
- there is no sand on the road
- rider is not tired
- rider is alone
- it's well-lit of daylight
- there is no railroad crossing
- distance is less than 100km
Basically that's why I'm always ahead of any motorcycles in our country with my modest wagon :-D

I've ridden all sorts of bikes ... R6 on the track ... KTM Exc/Yam War Robots offroad ... Had a Daytona for the road .. R1200GSA for mile chomping ... Speed Triples of various vintages ... Still have a T509 that just doesn't get used - I have a Yamaha Bruin quad that gets a lot more use. Even so the car is essential the bike were generally just for fun
The biggest problem I had with sportbikes on the road is I could be in "prison sentence" speeds without breaking sweat ...not where I want to be

Most roads around here are not smooth We get rain No snow here I grew up riding dirt I'll concede sand but that is so rare almost not worth worrying about Drivers get tired too? Alone? Not sure what you are meaning with this one Day or night doesn't affect leaving cars wayyyyy behind Railroad crossing? Again don't see how that affects anything I rode 600 km yesterday just to go to lunch, most I have done on a bike in a day is 900 km

Some great cars here (ignore the bike boy), keep it up!
By the way, cars have raced bikes on road courses countless times and the bike usually wins. BUT you toss those same two on real world roads and the car usually wins. You can't compare apples to oranges, people like them for different reasons.
Bike Boy, start your own thread!

Again don't see how that affects anything I rode 600 km yesterday just to go to lunch, most I have done on a bike in a day is 900 km Do you ride sport on dirt track? Or dirtbike on common road? Both options are kinda tricky for bikes. For awd car it's not a big difference ;) And I don't believe you can do ~140 in rain or snow on a bike. Just no. "Alone" - I mean no passenger. He\she usually gets in a way of balancing and takes away a lot of bike dynamics. And sorry, but in a car it's easy to drink some tea, flex you muscles while driving ~160 km/h, can't do that riding any bike. For a long distance driving you missed my point. Again, on a single tank car doing ~200 km/h can cover ~200 km range at least; doing 160 it can get ~300km. How big is your bike fuel tank? When we were doing some racing my bike friends were filling up ~6 times per my single petrol stop. So no chance again. And I was talking about pretty old _GENERAL USAGE_ car, comparing it to sportbike. Now if we want to get into sportbikes\cars here is an ultimate comparison. Dry road, straight race. P.s. still, I agree that sometimes bike can make quite a pull on a sunny autobahn during daytime. But then again, maybe not...

Actually one other thing that wasn't mentioned is the frequency of being busted up. The averages.
