I realize the %win is only the percentage of wins in the last 50 battles, but that ratio has far more weight on matchmaking than many are willing to give it. This morning ran into a gareth pilot running 6/7. Decided to field my 4/7gareth. Next battle fighting maxed gold.
The low silver pilot %win was 46%, me 86%.
Go back to original hanger, back in low silver.
Pixo, quit talking about fixing matchmaking.
ACTUALLY, FIX IT!!

I noticed the same problem the moment I bought mine. If I tried to play it I was bumped so high I was toasted by L10+ even my (then) 7/9 heavy hanger struggled against let alone my lights.
At the same time I was facing Gareths at levels well above what I trying.
The win% seems to have such an influence on usability of the BritBots it seems if you are 60%+ you might as well forget them below 7/9 or even higher.
It's not helped by the % being uneven in its effects. Rather than a smooth curve it seems to have steps and atm I hit a wall if I pass 76%.

I could not get a shot off before, I died against these guys.
I was however a bit off, I did not go to gold tier but members of it were on the opposite side. I was facing maxed pilots simply by changing one 2/8/8/8 for a 4/6/8 Gareth. Put it back and presto, back to low silver or low silver pilots.
And the only real difference was the win ratio.

But it's more 'fair' that way.

What would be fair is if matchmaking made sense.
Win/lose ratios, ok. That is fine. But a one robot change should not put a pilot against other pilots that are several tiers higher. Especially, when that pilot has been seeing stronger versions of that same robot with an unchanged hanger.
Everytime, I try to use robots I am fighting, up I go. I do not mind a boost to the next higher tier. I am good with that.
But as many have ranted about, against maxed hangers!
I know it is thin at the top. But that is ridiculous.

Pixonic needs to focus on matchmaking, instead of adding other things like skins...

Pixonic needs to focus on matchmaking, instead of adding other things like skins... ...except that those are worked on by different people, so it doesn't actually work that way.

I run mediums with mid-level weapons and fight lots of heavy bots piloted by ~40% win rate guys. But if I run a single heavy bot of any kind, then suddenly its level 9+ weapons and Rhinos in my face. I find this annoying.
Another other thing I've noticed: once I've won a few matches, the higher the percentage of team damage that is inflicted by me, the crappier my allies seem to be the next time around. My longer winning streaks come from a) using light bots with low weapons where all allies are weak/ineffective, or b) playing more of a support role and letting others rack up the damage. This too is annoying.

I find that every time I lose a match it is to a team that is much more powerful. I make a habit of checking on every loss. Sometimes there are 12's on that side when mine has nothing close. Never did consider win/loss. Will watch further. So much for matchmaking Pixo.

So much for matchmaking Pixo. if you are facing 12's you are playing in gold, do you play alone or in clan? it is a big risk to run alone in the gold tier where MM can give you a crap team anytime. i do recommend get into a clan and run the same level of weapon and bot.

When I farm I use lvl 2 cossacks with 6-7 orkans or tarans. Usually get easy games in the beginning, then soon after I start to see Yamatao. So, yes, I do think wins/percentages will factor into the MM.
Number of available players is also a factor (I play Asian time and maybe there are fewer players). I'm level 30. When I play my gold hangar, sometimes I get evenly matched games but at times I get matched against lvl 23 players who get decimated fast. Seeing stalkers is usually an indication that it's going to be an easy win as top tier players rarely use them.

Hmm, weird, I never seem to have any problems with MM at all lately...I am in Low Gold and now my win % is 88%, all the while playing low gold bots (heavies 7/9.5).

I wonder if there wasn't a tweak this last update... I dropped down to a 3/6-7 hanger before the update because of how bad the matches were getting... my level 6 mediums with weapons ranging from 6-8 were getting pitted with 10/12s and 12/12s rather often. I went back to that hanger yesterday thinking I would need to to squad with my clan some... and even though that didn't happen a played several games and was very evenly matched every time.
Might it be that they did a bit of improvement?

They did something... and not something good. Since the update I've run into a number of ridiculously one-side battles with high level guys platooning together - just had one where the German Kings were running 9/9 premium bots vs a mish mash of low level opponents. Devs are either disinterested or stupid, because establishing the power of a hangar and then using that factor to create relatively balanced games isn't really that complex.

I don't know what's happy at the moment but my % is yo-yo ingredients from low 50s to high 70s.
Just when I though the system had settled down and my efforts to run a balanced 5 slot setup against may others randomly shine 3 or 4 slot hangers was yielding good results it all well to pear-shaped - straight after the update...coincidence?
