How strange it is to read about unlocking Darth Vader or Luke. couldn't help to chuckle at people getting upset about such a silly thing. I'd take Leia any day.
But then I suppose a Star Wars player would have an even bigger chuckle when reading our discussion about unlocking a Korean culinary delicacy like a Kumiho or spicy Bulgasari topped with sprinkles of Haechi. :-)
Are we to obsessed?

"Fans calculated that it would take 40 hours to get 60,000 credits -- the price to unlock a top hero. Which means, even with the discount, that it'll take fans 10 hours of in-game time to unlock Luke or Vader."
Bloody SW:B2 fans are a bunch of lightweights...
It took me way longer then that to get a totally useless Fluffy Raijin I'll never use!

This comment below the article in the OP made me LOL. Apparently Pixo agree with you.... war-robots-forum.freeforums.net/thread/16770/war-robots-vr-on-kickstarterWill WRVR be free to play? “The current plan is to sell it for a fixed price. This is the only way we can ensure that all in-game content is available for you and everyone is playing on the same field. We’re still discussing visual unlocks (think Overwatch model), but pay-to-be-stronger elements are 100% out of question. Skill and teamwork is the only thing that can set you apart from everyone. How much? We haven't settled on the price yet, but Kickstarter backers will receive a full copy of the game for a $25 pledge.”

I have 0 desire to give them any credit. Same here. Just because the game is going to have a fixed price, doesn't mean it will be free from p2w bull crap. Star Wars' got it. And countless, COUNTLESS games, indie or otherwise, has gone "f2p" after sales drop. Then it's loot boxes and microtransections all over again. If they could monetize WRVR the way they do with War Robots Mobile, they will. The question is when.
