Have they no shame ? What about the millions £$⬠they make ? Have they considered that could be reinvested rather than spanking it on Bentleys & 「strong independent woman who don't need no man」s?

This is interesting.... “Will WRVR be free to play?” “The current plan is to sell it for a fixed price. This is the only way we can ensure that all in-game content is available for you and everyone is playing on the same field. We’re still discussing visual unlocks (think Overwatch model), but pay-to-be-stronger elements are 100% out of question. Skill and teamwork is the only thing that can set you apart from everyone. How much? We haven't settled on the price yet, but Kickstarter backers will receive a full copy of the game for a $25 pledge.”

I would rather hang myself than start another game from Pixonic after how I've witnessed them abusing their current community.

Hmmm... seems you can get a Kumi and a Temp and a Scourge for a single 150$ pledge, 1500 Au, and 120 days Premium. -_- Plus other Schwagg. Loyal players... however, have come to know the term BOHICA very well.
Not surprised... just...
Yeah.

Remember, it's Kickstarter. You give Pixonic money, no strings attached. Pix could legally walk away with your money without fufilling any promises.*
Let that sink in for a moment.
*If they wanted to.

I have difficulties in understanding the concept. Is it really just about donating money to Pix, I mean not like an investment with expected return or anything? As in I’m supposed to give 5k $ to mail.ru, and get a fluffy bunnying t-shirt as practically my only tangible return? Seriously? Who in their right mind would do that???

Most kickstarted games turn out to be total busts, even when corporations as greedy as Pixonic aren't at the helm. I'd avoid kickstarter games like wildfire and Pixonic kickstarter games like a nuke.

Yes, that's how Kickstarter (and other crowdfunding platforms) work. It is not an "investment" per se but an advanced purchase (if it actually comes to fruition that is). I agree, many projects on KS are either 80% late, fail because the owners underestimate everything, but others are very successful. My company worked on the Pebble watch. Those guys got millions:

Those guys got millions: Thanks for bothering to clear it for me BLYTHE . I've heard of the thing, but have never really looked into how it works. Using pre-purchasing agreements to make a concept fly makes sense. Also I can see myself giving even additional support (buying "premium" with extra t-shirts and whatnot) via crowd funding to some organisation doing something beneficial, like developing a portable water cleaner for 3rd world countries or somesuch. And I could even see myself supporting some interesting game developed by a bunch of eager enthusiasts. What I can't see myself doing though, is to essentially give free money to a company, which is already making profit hand over fist via very questionable business practices - and which is owned by a ruthless Russian multi-billion conglomerate no less. Hell, I wouldn't even invest in them.

Consider this.......
Pix is a Russian tech company. They are in effect asking you to financially partner in the development of their software (we will leave the details to DOJ, and the State Dept. ). Given certain investigations, tensions, issues, and etc.,it might not be the idea for an American to do this. Heck if it gets real bad we may not be able to buy anything in the game, or worse, be able to play it.
