...post a video of your game play and what your opponants were using. just from watching your movements I could probably tell you what tier you should be in. That, in and of itself, sounds interesting.

I play on android. New matchmaker working well so far! I play solo a lot and haven't run into a full clan yet... The old system made no distinction between a full clan v solo players. Great!

The MM is dead! Ling Live the new MM!
Well, other than my own vast enthusiasm for change of any kind, I encourage everybody to wait and see what happens over the next few days. It's far too soon to pass any judgement just yet, but so far I'm see a lot more positive reactions to the recent MM changes.

I play iOS, only in High Silver and Low Gold. I have a Gep hangar at 3/11, I played about 10 matches, in all of them there were players with 12/12 hangars including clans - which makes it impossible to play. I figured this was the intent of the MM, to reduce the all Gep hangars but when I switched to my Low Gold hangar (Carnage/Zeus, Plasma Griffin, Boa, Galahad & Gep) I still get matched with 12/12 teams - it takes a really, really long to get your bots to 12/12. So... in the meantime get used to losing your matches? That seems unfun to me

We switched to our low gold line ups (6/9 heavies) and went 8 for 10 on wins with the 4 of us against hi gold level pilots, losing to a 5 member clan squad and a really strong squad of max pilots. Oh well, just wish PIXO would have a little more communication when they change the guts of the system...I know they said the change is coming, but wish they would state what they are building towards before turning the knobs. cheers!

Technically, don't all of you consider me a clubber? I haven't noticed anything that doesn't coincide with my recent weapon upgrade (looks like I'm at the bottom of a tier, which I expected and had put off for a bit while leveling some stuff not in my hangar). I'm, however, not experiencing a sudden rash of losses. Just a few, again, which I expected (though just a few losses can really swing the % it seems).

I've playee 5-6 matches so far, not to much change for me. Although I have been seen mid-high 25-29 level players, not many 30 level. I run 6/8-9 heavys with a lvl 7 Galahad. I got to play against *(tricky48). Did know it was you till end, I looked at rest of squads & we both had a lot of mid 20 level players on both sides. That was my only loss so far, I was only one left @ end of battle. Attachment DeletedSo far everything seems good to me. Bot & weps levels seem to be similar, my win rate is in mid 70's.

Yeah that was a close match between us... the team, not so much... lol. But yeah, that was very similar to what I normally see... I've seen it said that the people who will notice the most change are the more experienced players that have lower tiered hangers... Random musing: is it possible that the effects are different for iOS than Android users? Maybe, for whatever reason, the player population is different so the effects might hit one more than the other??

I'm noticing a lot more server lag today... anyone else having this? Controls locking up, damage not registering... etc.
Maybe related to new MM? Or more people playing today coming back to the game.

If this new MM makes it impossible for me to switch tiers easily for variety, I'm going to be liking this game a lot less. You will not be alone. You should still be able to have something like a one low gold and one top tier hangar - right? Those 2 tiers are very different. I find that low gold is more lucrative for silver due to virtually the same amount of heavies, but with less savvy pilots.

I played a bit during my lunch break an hour ago, and it was horrible. Very rubberbandy. I attributed to the generally suboptimal reception I get here in the office, but maybe that was only part of the issue...

Tricky48 - wondering the same thing looking at comments on this thread and on the War Robots FB page. Android players are wondering what the fuss is about...IOS players are wondering what the hell happened. On IOS, I know I'm seeing changes even from what I experienced yesterday as a high win rate (80%) low gold player. Today, seeing more hi tier and max players but still won 8 out of 10 with a 4 member clan squad....solo'ing is much more difficult because I'm only running 6/9 heavies against almost max players that I see today. Gep line up is unusable for now but I expected that. So either squad up with reliable players or sink the win rate down closer to 50% going solo. Still a fun game but I'm going to miss the fluid battles in what used to be silver tier. Cheers!

TAS - I don't know if that is possible anymore....or at least you won't be able to switch tiers easily based on line up if this morning stays true. You may have to put in the lower line up and get plastered until you find opposition that is more equal (ie, your win rate gets closer to 50%). Cheers!

After five games between this morning and this afternoon the MM seems to be settling down for me. Each game had noticeably better balance, and in the fifth game I had essentially the lowest powered hanger topping out at 9/9.5. Lots of people were hitting top Bot at 11/12 or so. We had a decent match and I took second on the winning team with beacons for 8gp. Given my relative skill in a High Gold it looks like I'm sitting in the lowish end of atop Tier once matched.
Need More data...
Haven't seen anything like the 2/5 Geps, or 3/9 Geps since my second game. Lowest since has been 4/12 Geps and also I've seen at least one TT player on each team.

By and large, I'm in favor of the MM changes. But one thing is apparent (at least very early on): Springfield is now nearly unplayable for knifers/CQB pilots. I've run six matches with reds spawning at one end of the dam, and thanks to mid and long-range snipers, it's now nearly impossible to get the D (middle) beacon, let alone make a run for the farther lights.
Before the change, I could run a Gep from the dam to the D beacon and maybe lose 25% - 33% HP. A Carnage Zeus smoked me twice in one match, and some other KWK/Kang Dae/Trebs got me in the others. Like, dead before I even hit the beacon.
IMHO charging back & forth from one end of the dam to the other is pretty boring, so I guess I'll be ejecting from SF until a map update comes or something else changes. Edit: before I hear "you get what you deserve for running Geps", let me state that I run 2 Geps (beacon grabbers), 2 T-Rogs, and a rocket Golem in my hangar, so no clubber here.

My first game today saw us spawn at Farm in SF, and I literally lost half my health in the Boa (!) making a beeline for center beacon.
It was pretty stunning, honestly. As I took cover behind the wall, though, I felt that a team so optimized for long distance play would be vulnerable up close. Turns out they were. My contribution was modest outside being a fat target, but the team steamrolled 'em once they got it together and made inroads.

The best bet is to just get to level 11s at the least (preferable 12/12s) and just play. Does this mean that if you hit 12/12s and get a strongly winning percentage ( say 80%+ ), that you'll be thrown in with top tier pilots that have low win percentages in the just to drag you down? If so then that's stupid.

You should be able to equip any hanger and have good matches, but if your pilot skill is very good it'll probably weight you up. So, that low gold hanger with you piloting it will probably sit more comfortably gold or even highish gold.
Right now with the new MM it is looking like my 9/9.5 High Gold Hanger is catching the bottom of the Top Tier guys.
Don't know how long it takes the MM to adjust to your new Hanger strength, but no matter what you end up playing if you do it for a while it should adjust to balanced games at that level. Basically the concept of farming is probably obsolete, as your skill will push your high bronze etc farming hanger against either similarily skilled pilots with similar hanger strength, or against poorer pilots with stronger hangers to find the right balance points. Doesn't look like there are any more hard shelves in the MM ie never see Yamatau, or any heavy is autosilver etc.
My guess is that it will attempt to balance out the teams of all 12/12s as best it can. So, if you are really good, you will weight and be offset by a poorer pilot on your team.
Sixth match in and I feel like the MM it settling down and I'm getting some well matched games. The majority of what I'm seeing is around the 9/10-11/12 range. The players on the lower end are better win rate players and those at the top end are the 40-50% win rate folks. Did see two people that were clearly outmatched and didn't belong but right now I'm chalking that up to people's first couple gos with the MM.
Also, after six matches I'm 4-2, and I've won 10gp, 8gp, 8gp, 8gp in the four wins. Have not placed lower than 2nd on damage for my teams.
Seventh game. 5-2 with the new MM which is close to the ~70% Win rate I had before, so far it hasn't really dropped at all and is maintaining right around 74%. We have two 12/12 guys from Vox clan, a mix of weaker TT guys on the opposing team, most were around my 9/9.5 level and mostly a bit higher, like two or three odd balls that were weaker and didn't belong. Easy win, I got 1Au due to the Vox guys putting out 800k damage to my 500 and change. Think I lost tiebreaker for beacons!
After 7 games, I feel like the new MM is doing well, I'm rarely facing anyone right at my level, they are all usually a bit higher which is changing the game and makes sense as I seem to be a "good" player in gold often hitting a bit above my weight class. I'm also seeing more lights than I have been. I look forward to what it'll be like in a couple of days once more poeple have popped on and set their Elo and the new MM is chugging away at full speed.

Well something is up. I just had my 3/7 light hangar with a 1/5 Patton thrown against Rhinos, Raijins, Griffins, etc. My poor Cossack got vaporized. Lost a few and it seemed to settle back down. If they are making this large of a change to MM it's going to be a bit crazy at first as it adjusts I'd think. I was running my 2/5 cossacks against rhinos and raijins last week. Popped the raijin with my Punisher while using a building to shield myself. It's kind of fun playing against stronger opponents; You have to get better as a player. /2¢

All of you complainers. Please refer to my previous post on page 1.
Prove what you are saying. Take a video and show all teams stats. Bet none of you will because you are afraid that it will prove you are lacking skill to robot lvl and weapon lvls.
Stop complaining and start playing.
Cheers to the rest of you.

Stop complaining and start playing. Cheers to the rest of you. I don't think it's hit Android yet, but when it does I'm going to assume that the MM will force losses on me until my win rate goes down, since tiers have been abandoned. With that in mind I will probably start quitting, not out of rage, but as a time consideration. If I drop in, grab a beacon just to appear active for a minute to the system, and drop out only to immediately do the same in the next game I should be able to absorb the necessary losses fairly quickly. After all, I'm destined to lose regardless of skill, since I'm not 12/12 and if I'm destined to lose then so is my team, therefore I'm not actually griefing them. Do that 50 times to clear the board and then see what happens.

I don't care if you are the most amazing pilot known to man. If you are running a silver hanger and getting matched with 12/12 gold like I am, it's impossible to be competitive.

My take on it is that the new MM was just released so everyone's rating starts out neutral or at 0. That is why you see 12/12 players matched up against low players. But, once everyone has played a decent amount of games to make their ratings go up or down, things will start to settle down and you will be matched more evenly.
