I'm rather new, playing Rookie level. I have accumulated about 9k WSP and the only thing not shown that I've leveled is some Sura's to level 7. I have been reading the forums and would like to skip low Bronze and move into high Bronze. I would like to stick with the Gepards, but its not a must. I've tried the Cossacks -- too fragile, and I've tried the Schutzes/Thunder -- too slow. Dunno if I've spoiled myself playing in the Gepard since all the other bots are slower. Suras work for me but dunno if they would work well ducking around corners in a slow bot. I don't think I want to do EP Magnums, which require you to be in line of sight of your target. Dunno how I feel just trying to stay in the backlines firing missiles. I was thinking of maybe a Patton with missiles.
Can I get a recommendation on a high bronze setup to start trying to build? Do I need to stay in Rookie and build more gold and WSP a while?

Stay in low bronze with those Gepards and work your way up to replace the pinatas with mags. Stay clubbing for gold in low bronze for as long as you can - as you probably won't make that much gold/WSP so easily after the next match making changes come.
I don't recommend getting in high bronze - there are too many full time level 30 mag Gepard pilots with 5 trimags and you'll be outgunned and outclassed (by their experience).
I use 5 level 4 Schutzes with level 6 Thunders and the speed nerf will be probably hitting the Gepards soon ---- and that will make the level 1/2 Gepards slower than the level 4 Schutzes.
I hate Mag Gepard clubbers, but the setup works and since you already have the Gepards it's just a week per magnum and you have the time. Me, I'm really good with a Thunder Schutze (like multiple 100% win streaks and 30K gold on hand right now after 2 Lances and 2 Galahad got purchased), so it works for me.

You're on the right track. Stay low, build gold, and get WSP.
Maybe think about your 4th bot, to get experience of other tactics, weapons, using range etc. A lot of Wiki members recommend Thunder Schutze, or a Patton with CRVs etc. A great way to learn about Rocket platforms. You're looking for weapons you can carry on upgrading further up the food chain.

Thx for the feedback, everyone.
I really like my suras but they don't seem to square off well vs Magnum Gepards unless its a pilot that just charges right in (about 1/2 of them) so I guess that I will be stuck leveling up Mags while trying to build up wsp and gold for a few weeks.

My Pinata Gep actually works well against Mag Geps in low silver, but it's really a game of patience against them. Just be sure to pick your spots and bait them in. Having said that, if you don't mind staying in low bronze, stay there.

Ugh. No offense, it just pains me to see another Gepard hanger. I bought one early on and I loved it. I still run it as my beacon capper, but I feel like a tool every time I drop-in with it.
That said, there are so many because they are ridiculously effective. If you don't want to be labeled a clubber, though, I'd get some mediums and learn how to use them. The Gepard just spoils you and tricks you into thinking your a good pilot because of it's superior maneuvering ability. Thank god your running pinatas at least.
I've been playing around with the Pinata Patton and it's actually a lot of fun and teaches you a lot about patience. Also, I run the Thunder/Taran Boas in silver and it's a beast.

adding pic of my hangar. looks to me like you bought the $4.99 special? Good job! If I were just starting, I would buy 5...LOL. Anyway, as previously mentioned, stay at your current level and learn the skill of using the Pinatas effectively and consistenly. You will need this skill as you go up higher. You are right at the sweet spot of low bronze with L1 bots - L5 weapons. Get 6 mags and level them up evenly to L5. Take the weapons off the Destrier and sell it. Buy a Schutze and a Thunder. so this becomes your farming hangar: Gepard L1 - Magnum 5/5/5 Gepard L1 - Magnum 5/5/5 Gepard L1 - Pinata 555 Schutze L1 - Thunder 5 ( you can upgrade Schutze to L3 but you might face harder bronze opponents to include the dreaded Gep L1 - L9 Magnums.... so just keep it at L1 for now )

Btw, here's a quick tip on using the Pinatas. Fire and hide. Be aware of your surroundings. Ideally, you should be fairly close to cover. The moment you fire, hide behind cover or let the enemy chase you around cover while you are charging up. Once you're charged up, target the enemy and start firing the moment the center of your target is at the edge of the cover. Run backwards while you're doing this to get closer to the next corner to hide in. You'll deal a great amount of damage even before the bot can fire back at you.

I'm glad to see a chap who likes Pinatas on the Gepards. I personally love them more than magnums, but admit they take more skill and patience than magnums. If you keep using them, you might be frustrated for now, but that skill and patience you learn will be good for you in the higher tiers.
I might suggest replacing your destrier with a Patton and load CRVs on them. This might be helpful on the longerr range maps and you can hurt the gepards before they get into range.
Haters will hate, but at your level, Spiral Pattons are also very good setups. Well, Spirals, CRVs or Pinatas are all good setups for that level. With Pinatas, you can probably kill anything in one shot. but if you miss, u probably are dead.

Personally, I find any player that specializes in a single bot hanger to be a sot. There should be a rule or league where every bot must be a different one.

If I want to run a few TO Boas and quadmag Pattons there should be nothing to stop me. Running multiples shouldn't penalize me, especially when they're legit bots. Lots of gold players have multiple Galahads, for instance.

For clan battles I bring out my Boas with Pattons in support. At some point in the far future I'll switch over to a swarm of Griffins. Nothing shady about that at all - those are just the bots I enjoy.
