Does anyone know for certain if the Boas extra size and speed is just a bug or how it was intended. If you have one I suggest that you dust that this off cos it's tonnes of fun to run at the moment and it's speed is up to around 50mph.

Boa has been one of my favorites for 3 years. Speed is still shown at 42 km/h. I believe what you perceive at it being faster is the reconfigured legs, the upper torso stayed the same. They do look like they have sped up, but in reality they haven't. I still bring mine out to have some fun with them and always will. Hopefully one day they will release this version of one they did a conceptual drawing of awhile back. ?

I prefer the ugliness & utilitarian look of the old Boa... Like a Land Rover defender Vs a modern Range rover sport ... G-Wagen vs M-class ... FJ vs Amazon Landcruiser
They're turning poor Boa into a Chelsea Tractor

wildboar I do too, always have. But if they are going to change it, not a bad looking version of it. It just doesn't look right with the legs they put on it recently.

I used to run 3 (& 2 gepards) ... miss those days ... Thunder Tarans & Thunder Orkan Good old days of boa brick fighting mixed with gep pole dance Shame to have the old gep tainted by clubbers and boa losing the edge in upper tiers.

I've never really tried the Boa. I have one on my 2nd account on IOS, and I just can't feel the love. I've seen some on my main account, and they seem extraordinarily fast so I'm tempted to try it again. But, and this will sound weird, when I was playing it on the IOS, I had a hard time because the weapon set up is left handed (medium hardpoint on the left). Yeah, it's a weird hang up. I'll just have to work through it if I decide to pick it up.

We should start a petition to get ALL the old German bots back (maybe except for the Gepard, since it's gold), but DEF the Schutze and the old Boa for sure!

oooh BoaBeCue ... feeling hungry now What? You guys call them a barbecue?? Smoker = BBQ? Na.. That's a smoker. Grills are different. Smokers are the staple of backyards across Texas. Low and slow is the way to go. Grills are for yankees and folks who want to stand around under umbrellas cooking salmonella. BBQ is a style of food. You rub it and then coat it. Then put it on a smoker. Or a Grill if you want salmonella

After the update the Boa feels like at its proper speed once again.
But the health buff is most welcome.

Good bot otherwise tho.

Please answer or my OCD will drive me crazy lots of smokers here too in socal. I have 2 sous vide wands (anova and joule) So rather than smoke for hours, I run my smoker much hotter with finer shavings rather than chips or chunks. So in effect the outer layer is smoke scorched. Then it's bagged up an into the sous vide. Depending on type of cut or what it is temps and times vary. E.g chuck or brisket would go at 142F for 48hrs. I find the smoke flavour permeates better, the tougher bits of collagen denatures more consistently than pure smoking. Also lose less on the bark from smoking 20hrs. Once it's done, sear or hot smoke again to a thin crust.

Aaand now you've made my hungry - big, thanks I like to do a good 5-7lb at a time because my smoker ain't a backflowed offset...just a lot easier to control temps for long periods. End result all the stringy bits (collagen) turns to stuff that holds moisture (gelatin) Ironically the toughest cuts tend to turn out the best.

Now you're trying to torture me I've never tried sous vide, but will defo do so in near future. Most recipes mention first slow cooking in sous vide, followed by searing / brief grilling. You seem to have done it reverse or rather added additional smoking in 1st step. Is it to let the smoking penetrate the meat better?

However pre sear is good for rare-Med rare at it kills surface bugs ready for low temps ~130F Smoking I alway so cold as cooked food don't absorb well for me, so hot smoke (a little excessively) then let it diffuse through the meat over the cooking period.
