ooooo, but maybe Pixonic can see some $$ in a new toy line. They could make modular weapon mounts even so you can accessorize

Lol why you guys going nuts about copyright issues?
If I was working for Pixonic I would be seriously flattered that someone has gone through the effort of designing, printing and hand painting these things for very little profit. Obviously this person is a fan, and this is fantastic fan art. I might buy one.

Lol why you guys going nuts about copyright issues? It's a two-prong problem for Pix. First, the Rhino is intellectual property with considerable value in a trademark. If they allow others to profit off of their IP they can lose the right to sue to protect it against, say, a larger and more aggressive competitor. Second, Pix can be hassled if scumbags try to pass off crappy merchandise that later buyers assume was actually produced by Pix themselves. This can lead to frivolous lawsuits in extreme cases.

Get a clue!

Pix could make this into a moneymaking thing, as the bots look great, maybe they should work with Hasbro to make war robot action figure-type things. A company like Hasbro would want to be able to move at least a few hundred thousand units of each model. It's not economical for them to produce and market otherwise. There aren't enough players of the game to justify that production, ergo.... A smaller model company might be open, but in the long run it might be easier for Pix to find a production shop he selves and sell on their own web site. It becomes a bit of a logistical circus either way, though.

Regardless, isn't that thunder a little small compared to the bot? Or are the orkan a little big? I'm not really sure but I'm seeing some scaling issue there.

From a guy that came into the IT world, when all there was was 80 column punch cards, carrying tapes around and loading the tape machines, and changing out disc packs on the monstrous mainframe. No PC's at all. Analog land lines.
These bots are so cool. And I think whoever created them did a great job.
I'll letothers worry about all the other real world stuff, I'm just impressed with the accomplishment and the time whoever put in to do these.

www.ebay.com/usr/alexissilva2013A light search on "alexis silva" turned up too many hits, no confidence factor in results. Closest match was a facebook profile of the same name, but listed as living in Seattle, Washington.

Those are models, not figurines. Nothing against resin sculpts, they're just different. Think more GamesWorkshop/Forgeworld and less Hasboro.
The *good* news is that if they wanted to actually make those it's way cheaper to develope an initial mold, and those models are pretty customizable before/during assembly, and long as you have the right tools and skills.

I do everything in solidworks .... it takes me many many hours to make a design Jumpin' Catfish! I am impressed! Your art work is arguably defensible from copywrong issues. As an amateur 3D modeler myself, I know what it takes to replicate somebody else's model, and it's hard work. As a positive thing, I urge you to contact Pixonic and see if you can get a real licensing deal. Your target demographic is an extremely niche market, so it won't make you rich, but I believe there's money to be made for you. Best to make it a legit as possible, ya?
