Wow very informative Dredd77. It reminds me of the good ol magic days where all I had to worry about was my chances of drawing 2 lands. Anyhow if you are in the market for 4 sol rings, you know where to find me.

If you're willing to spin multiple times, and have(or are willing to obtain) more than a few K gold, the Gold chest are *extremely well worth it*.

If I were starting War Robots *right now*, say a new account or what not, I'd drop the 100USD for a 14K AU pack and never look back.

However, using EV with items you can't sell... I don't know about that. It's not like Magic cards. If there was an auction house in War Robots, where folks could bet for items, THEN it woud be different. I won't gamble with chests. Rather use the gold in the items I really NEED.

Btw, I made great profit with Magic cards. Owned a hobby store when that game came out. Traveled to the US a lot, with my team mates. Prices where different from european ones. Great years...

But again, thank you for your information. It just leads me to pass on chests.

Here was my experience so far.....

I had 2300 Au available and was just going to buy a Rogatka with it if the Dash bots weren't available as prizes.
Then just as I was closing my Discord window I noticed some hype saying that HEATHEN HERETIC had won a Jesse! I thought it was the Silver Chest but don't recall for sure. The gambling bug instantly hit me and soon I was back into the game and flipping coins.

First, a Silver chest and I gained 250k in silver. Then I got brave and dumped 1000Au into a Gold chest, which simply compressed my gold down to 550. So now, with 1650 left I started spinning away on the Silver chests! All that I had to show for it was a small bit of silver, several Au prizes which I used right up, and an Aphid which I don't necessarily need at the moment.

After that, I was done and left with that empty feeling that losing in a gamble often has.

...until I saw someones post encouraging people to only open Gold chests and how they had such a string of luck gaining ground with them. So I broke down and shelled out 10$ for my first time ever, gritted my teeth, and spun one more Gold chest!
Well, to my amazement I watched that bar inch, almost as if in slow motion, just slightly past the 2500Au prize...

Where this was waiting!

I ran this on the New Years event. Was pretty good.

Maybe it's just me, but I felt this time around it's even better.

100 or 200 dollars basically fills your entire hanger.
If you are missing a lot of common gold gear. This will fill it.

What I dislike about this event is that I believe I have something like 10 Zeus. Had I know. They would be that common in these events I would have never used any gold for them in the first place .

amusingly I ended up with s couple fury. So guess what's in my hanger ?

I'd recommend NOT gambling however if you have most of the cheaper bots.

Every single additional geppard is a waste. Every single Gareth is a situational waste. Likewise with Galahad. How Many furies do you really need? The legend league has almost none in the top 50.

Gold weapons. It's pretty much about orkans. 100 bucks on the gold box and you will Have plenty.

After that, you are wasting money.

It's interesting that the chest with the positive payout is the 1,000-Gold one, along with the Super Chest.

It's almost like Pix expects people to pay real money to get the 1,000's of gold needed to play those chests. :-)

... and then also need tons of Silver to update their shiny new toys... :-)

Dredd77, I took your advice and boought one gold chest. Won 1500, spent 1000 and bought another one. Won 500 and spent the last 1000 and got a Gepard. Now I only need 3 more gold chests for a superchest which equates to maybe myself purchasing 1-2 Gold Chests.

You are more lucky than I am. I only got these from 3700 gold now down to 1000 gold.

No, the 5000 and 2500 gold are just gold to keep me spining, I used all of them at the end of course. The total winning should only including the item value.
Had a aphid gekko as well. Still have 1000 gold at hand thou.

I basically keep on getting bad luck with the chests, one of my family members got really lucky though, he got 3 Lancelots, all the Western robots another Gerath and I think another Galahad

Thanks for the information. After reading your article, I decided to give it a try. My roster consisted of a rdb, db, Galahad, carnage, and plasma griffin. I was 3k into saving for a Lancelot. Was hoping to get doc, Lancelot, or furry. But besides the setup above, I had no extra weapons or bots of value, so I figured I was a good candidate for the chest lottery.

I spent $50 for 6500 gold and started buying 1000 chests. Went through 4 cycles to get 4 super chests (30+4) picks total I think. Here is what I got

Stuff that goes directly in my starting lineup (12150 value)
1 Galahad
2 Zeus (for carnage)
2 aphids (for db)
1250 gold +3000 original towards Lancelot
1 ancile (for Lancelot)
2 orkan (multlple options)

Stuff that I'll play with (5500 value)
1 rogatka (I'm not convinced I'll win in event anyway)
1 Jesse (I'm a little bummed he was the one bot I got out of 4 super chests)

Stuff that I'll probably sell (2500 value).

So overall im pleased. Got a 3x return on my investment, but more like 2x for things I really wanted. And all things considered, I feel my 'luck" was definitely below average, but my position in the game was well suited to take advantage of most rewards.

I pulled 2 Bronze, 8 Silver and 6 Gold chests and got to the super chest. Instead of spending 8k AU on 8 gold chests, I only spent 6820au. I recooped, counting weapons and my super chest, ~7900 (two silver prizes and the pin mucked up my conversion).
