Buy another Orkan, 2x Magnums, do this and save for the 5th slot after.

Thank you for the advice! Am trying this out right away! Those builds will pour damage out at your level - and most of all that (except the leo itself) will be useful forever, so don't have to worry about wasting upgrades on stuff you won't use later.

I have been playing for about 5 weeks now and that suggested Hanger is exactly what I have! Sweet! Nice to know I'm on track! Just bought a carnage then plan is (still rough) uprade carnage (Already bought) - Save for Tridents and Fifth Slot. Then Zeus's. Then I want to try a Galahad.

Slots before bots
Get that 5th slot before you start considering what gold weaps/bots/paintjobs you want

Just my personal preference, pretty similar to the 2nd post, and his hanger advice is very good too. 1. Replace the Cossack with ~1250Au Gareth, buy him a new Taran and Magnum ( level Gareth to level 9, it is one of the best beacon runner) 2. Exchange the Orkan from 4th Griffin to Bao, and tulumbus to 4th Griffin. (Thunder/Orkan Boa is pretty good) 3. Buy 2 more Magnum for 3rd Griffin. (PDB Griffin) 4. Buy 2 more pin for your 4th Griffin (RBD Griffin is a mid range bot, effective range 400-500) 5. Save 5k Au for your 5th slot.
Or you can 1. Same as above 2. Buy another Griffin, buy 2 pin and use the tulumbus you have for him. 3. Same as above 4 buy 1 more Orkan and give it to 4th Griffin replace the tulumbus. 5. Same as above
Upgrade more on items like Orkan, Taran or Gareth... you should be using them for quite a while.

I would adwise a second Orkan for your Griffin. And I would adwise to replace the ECUshield from your Cossak, or even the whole Cossak. I think there is nothing more useless as a bot that can´t shoot. If you want a shielded beacon runner, a Gareth is a very fine choice.
I would NOT save gold for the 5th slot. I was a 4-slot player a long time and that worked well. I bought 2 gold bots and 5 gold weapons (worth 11.450 total) before the 5th slot. Those things helped me more than wasting time and silver to upgrade things I ditch later. The argument that 4-slot player mech out earlier is a lie because well equipped and high upgraded gold bots last much longer than low level silver crap.

Nothing's more fun than bouncing around the toes of a fat bot after capping "his" beacon because he wasn't paying attention. ... now he's mad, but only manages to shoot his own toes! ... then the whole red team gets involved because the coked-up grasshopper must die! ... leaving your team free to murder the reds and cap their beacons. (ok, I rarely play my Cossack, but they can be hugely entertaining!)

Okay, I must clarify my predicate statement: I did not say the Cossak is bad, I said I don´t like the ECU shield on that Cossak. I own 4 Cossaks, and sometimes I use them all in my Hangar for extreme beacon running. But mine are armend and not shielded. I use Tulumbas and Hydras on them.

The argument is not that 4 slot hangers mech out earlier inesb (Imo) but that having a fifth slot allows more diversity to your hanger to cover all maps/enemy reds, if you're not skipping maps. If you want diversity go for it OP. Also to your point about low level Silver crap being ditched later. Silver weapons I use that I would consider to be effective are Pinata, Pin, & Tulu, which are currently at Lv8. These are weapons if used correctly that are very effective as I'm sure are others I have yet to try. Additionally I have seen Gold bots taken out just as quickly as Silver bots. If of equivalent level you should see some competition in most cases. For example my level 8 Griffon with level 8 Tulu/Pin wrecks havoc on plenty of bots regardless of Silver bot/Gold bot/Silver/Gold weapons but will get killed quickly if I make a mistake. OP, Personally I would go with ✧✦Ŋɫתʃɑ✦✧ opinion as it is a great option and then make further decisions/ask for advice from there. On a ridiculous note: inesb Green is my favorite color but for some reason every time I see you post it makes me think, Riddler from Batman for some reason. LOL

Just bought a carnage then plan is (still rough) uprade carnage (Already bought) - Save for Tridents and Fifth Slot. Then Zeus's. Then I want to try a Galahad. Excellent plan! Galahad is really a great robot. Zeus Carnage is a monster on some maps, I just scored top damage with an (underlevelled) level 7 Zeus Carnage on Yama, racking up 450k damage in 6 minutes (then the game ended). Both will give your hangar a big boost. I'd still recommend getting the Galahad first (after the 5th slot), but that depends a bit on your playing style. If you like knife fighting and beacon grabbing, go for the Galahad. If you prefer to keep your distance, get the Zeus. Strayeds guide has Zeus pretty far down the list, but I think they deserve a much higher spot. (The low spot may be due to the percieved damage bug. But either I learned how to use Zeus at some point, or the bug was fixed, but now I haven't experienced the bug for a long time. The few cases where Zeus didn't do the damage I expected came from lag.) Zeus should be above Fury, Lance and Aphids, IMO, and way over Gary.

You take that back, right now! First 2 gold purchases should be Gary. Then get more slots to get more Garys. 5 Garys total, or 6 if you have the means.

Do not buyy the Gareth until you have 4 Orkans, 4 Aphids, a Galahad, a Fury and a Lancelot. Gareth can more than double your match gold winnings when you are getting started. You should be able to get top beacons in almost every win using Gareth if piloted correctly. In all seriousness Gareth should be one of your first Gold purchases. It's only debatable whether you should get a Gareth before or after the 4th slot.

Watch your tone, you are talking to the King of Gareths here. 1) Splash isn't too prevalent below Silver league (where most n00bs reside). 2) I regularly out cap skilled Stalker pilots in my Gareth. 3) I've killed plenty of splash bots trying to guard a beacon using a Gareth. It isn't even difficult. I've also defended beacons from splash bots successfully in Gareth. TL:DR if you try and use a Gareth like a Lancelot you will fail.

First of all your title was achieved by going in the lower leagues with the Gareth. Obviously you are able you get good scores killing Natashas and Leos. Maybe if you move up a couple leagues and fight more skilled pilots, you may change your opinion about that thing.

Currently I face Diamond and Expert level players in most of my matches on Android. Should I only be facing Champion League players to satisfy you? That doesn't really relate to helping an new player get started anyway. Buying a Gareth early will more than pay for itself in increased winnings by the time a player reaches Gold leagues. Are you even trying to help?

Not a whole lot of time or silver wasted on four 5/6 bots that will net you a 5th slot, especially when they have tarans, mags, thunders, pinatas, pins and tulumbas....all useful.....hell even punishers and molots are useful after the recent buffs

And Gareth usually boosts your avg damage making it easier to get top damage. Gareth costs only 125 battles winning 10 gold at a time. In practice Gareth pays for itself in around 200 battles (120 wins). After that the Gareth is making you extra gold every match.

Gareth does not give you top damage. Never ever. And since MM is notorious for putting you at a 50% win rate, an average of 5 gold every 2 matches (win/lose) will make you play ~500 matches to even it out. That is, unless you tank. Then its 10 gold every match.

I'm not getting into the Gary-first-before-Fifth side of this argument, as Blastronaut, I must disagree with the 5th always being down the line in priorities, I DO think it should be very high on the list for most players. Obviously, there is more to consider now than in the old MM where you could control your opponents to a degree, but it still has many benefits that I am not convinced, even after keeping an open mind not biased by the past, towards the idea. But that is another thread.
What I AM going to say, and agree with you on, is that Gary is not towards the bottom of the list... it has no MM penalty anymore, so it doesn't shoot you up into the stratosphere in regards to the competition like it used to. Which was a major factor at the time that Gary first hit the game, and it skewed many people into not liking it and not using it. "Galahad is the same, bigger, more HP, and 1 more gun, Gary is a waste," was a common thought back then. It isn't a Galahad. It serves different purposes and fills different rolls. In the early stages, it is one Helluva boon. I can still do more with that Gary on many games than I can with the Gala... the combination of shield, speed, and decent firepower are too good to ignore. I definitely disagree with:
OP, Gary is a good choice, at almost any level of play, if you are lacking a good beacon capper/harasser/flanker. I can't say I put it front of the 5th though... that is possibly debatable. Personally, I stll say a couple of Orkans is enough to help out a hangar if you feel your 5th bot option is not going to hang with the big boys and girls...
For clarity, I am 9/9-ish Rising through Gold and close to getting Diamond on Android.... which is NOT the same as Gold on iOS. I face Diamond and Expert a lot, too, with bot/weapon ranges from 9/9 to 10/11, regularly. Most are near my bot and damage level, though, since for me, the MM is damned good at giving me fair matches. Gary performs there as much as I need him to. If I can keep running him and causing havok and getting beacons, I will. If I realize something bigger is needed... I will give him a suicidal mission that, hopefully, gives the Blues an advantage, instead of just ejecting. He's fast enough to do that even if damaged. And yes... a smart Gary pilot can face any situation, including Trident bots, and still achieve a purpose... it all depends on the match, when you deploy it compared to what they have deployed, and how aware you are of the battlefield and the Gary's abilities.
IMO, YMMV

I bought my 5th slot 2-3 months ago (my first Au purchase) --> 2 Orkan --> Galahad, If you follow my path, you will replace most of your high level Ag weapon and bot to level 1 Au weapons and bot. Why not buy them now, upgrade them and use them while you wait for 2-3 months 5k Au? I have 5k Au now, but I am not buying anything, because I am still upgrading tridents and Carnage to replace my RBD Griffin. In addition, I don't have time to upgrade my Orkan, Griffin to level 9, I don't suggest you upgrade too much the things you going to replace. I bought a Stalker straight after I have enough Taran and Magnum, it is my first WSP bot. My rewards from beacon cap with Stalker has increased by at least 500% (my fastest bot was Griffin then--> Galahad then--> Stalker). But Stalker has a problem, it has very low dps. I don't have Gareth, but I believe it is the 2nd best beacon runner with at a lot more firepower compare to Stalker. If it can cap beacon like Stalker, it will pay itself out.

The Gareth is not a good long term investment prior to Orkans wich you will use until the very end. I have a Gareth myself wich I bought completely knowing that it was not a big investment but the bot itself is really fun to play, but if people want top priority purchases and rush to a competitive-style hangar, they should avoid getting the Gareth. Also, 125 matches earning 10 Au means that you will get 2250 league points along with it, so its impracticable when you reach Diamond (Where T/Furies become frequent).

I like to shot Gareth (Galahad too) with my RDB Griffin, I know what you mean. But with Stalker, I may not earn 10 Au every match, but i usually can get the beacon 5 Au reward if my team win. Furthermore, my winning rate actually goes up after I replace my Thunder/piñata Leo with Stalker, even the damage done is lower.

Stalker has the potential to juke midrange and other heavy bots and is a really annoying bot if played correctly, even though not having the same firepower and raw survivability as the Gareth, he can really make up for that with his outplay potential (Also ALOT cheaper). Damage alone wont get you league points in the end after all, but you can also cap beacons just fine with heavies.

I have a Plasmahad, I though Gareth just give up around 25%-30% firepower and hp for the extra speed (still pretty good, can dodge all aphid n Orkan like Stalker). I don't have Gareth, I think it is good investment in early because there aren't many trident and they are very good beacon runner. I am thinking replace my Stalker with Gareth. After I upgrade 2 trident for my Carnage.
