Arbalest/Pun T/ Molot T. For when you absolutely, positively need to cover all the ranges on one bot.
Spydra. For when you just want to spam.

It ain't a bargain but Pulsar-Marquess is a 「illegitimate child」 the enemy learns to loath.

Ok, got one. Anything besides Scourge / Spark? Scourge is great. I keep an Aphid for when you have to remain behind cover. (used it many times on Castle at the top of the map on either side of the gorge while an Ares was on the other side hiding behind the barrier) You can take little bits of HP away every few seconds.

Taran/Magnum works quite well if you have them.

What a great bot. At lvl4, it rocks in Android Champions League 7300... It's like riding a bike. You never forget.
Thanks y'all. I'm sticking to a Corona Storm Halo build for now.
Tried again to love the Pulsar Marquess combo. Got lucky and got Schenzen. Up to the wavy roof I went and started to snipe on CB, and again the damage output from lvl 9 weps was negligable. Not going that path for now.

I’ve been running 2x Scourge Shredder on mine and it’s been fun. Scourge because it’s Scourge and every Red hates being on the business end of it and Shredder for the near constant firing and potential target lockdown.

I'm still salty that I never got that $4.99 Falcon sale yesterday. I would have jumped on Hover but I can't see anywhere that I can play in Champions on it. Rather just run my scavenger Griffin with pilot mod.

Storm Gust is decent for brawling and pretty cheap.
And mentioned above, Vortex Aphid is super fun but not a huge damage dealer.

I use my Hover as a beacon runner in my beacon running hangar. Aphex build which is Fun! I almost bought the Hover $2 deal because I love it so much.

Ok, got one. Anything besides Scourge / Spark? In Champions League, against good players?
No
P.S. welcome to Hoverdom, you have elevated your self both literally and figuratively in this game. Remember the 10 Hover commandments, and keep them holy.
1) Never shall you stop offering praise for the mighty Hover.
2) Thy colors shall be blue as the sky or (that weird khaki tan - scratch that) the color of the ground that shall receive you on your final crash.
3) You shall not fear shocktrains, energy weapons, or any Phildo ever.
4) You shall strike fear into the heart of the wicked... especially Leeches that have infinite phase shift skills.
5) You shall protect your brethrens’ flanks, and burn the flanks of those who are red and of little faith.
6) You shall Scourge with abandon.
7) You shall love (and use) the Hover’s stride as you love its propulsion jets.
8) Frequently shall you rest to gaze upon the red from lofty perch.
9) For six days shall you hover, but on the 7th you shall ?female dog? and whine about Pixo, whom they call the Antihover, on this forum.
10) Forever shall you own the sky and troll the field of battle.
Schrotter lowly disciple, brotherhood of the sky

So I finally bought a second Hover for $2 for both of my main accounts. One goes in my Android beacon capping hangar, where I will now have 2 Hovers. The other I will switch into an Amazon hangar slot when needed to get multiples of beacons for a task. I gave them burst weapons like Orkans and whatever. Also I retasked some unused pilots for them, got some good skill rolls like Mechanic and extra damage.

With my que as it is I probably won’t have it ready for some time.

There is a reason, brother disciple, for the sixth commandment, although as novices ours is not to reason why.

The Aphid Vortex or Aphex build they call it. I’ve been playing that setup the last 24, I like it for now: soon to be a high-explosive suppository delivery vehicle

I thought long and hard about buying a second Hover for $2, but I’m having entirely too much fun playing with my new Rayker. It’s only L7, but the Suppression boost is maxed and I’m learning how to use it. It’s fast, maneuverable, agile, seems to have a small hit-box, ducks well, easy to hide. It doesn’t last long out there, bless it, but we have a blast. I am also learning how to be creative with Hover. Sometimes I use it well, and it’s amazing.

Trolling reds with Hover (or Loki etc.) are important and often understated tactics.
Never underestimate the effectiveness of baiting the reds away to give your fellow blues a numerical advantage, and if they're savvy enough to pick up what's going in, they can take advantage of the situation.
People say, ughh, Earl, Hoover sucks, it's too exposed, not enough magic, etc. Hover is the closest thing to Phildo perfection that the Moscow mothership has ever released. It's a troll (easily it's most powerful attribute), a flanker, a tank, a capper, a mid-ranger, an ambusher, a support bot, a brawler, a scout....or any combination, as the fluidity of the situation requires. Only Hover and Loki can suddenly swing the momentum of a game, if well-piloted. Other speedy bots can too, but are well behind these two due to the nature of their abilities.
No, the nay sayers don't get it, they ran it for a few weeks, didn't master the many nuances and they sure don't recognize what good trolling does to shape the momentum in a game.

Did I forget to mention that I *have* a Hover in my live squad? And that I’m learning how to use it for something other than general target practice?

Did I forget to mention that I *have* a Hover in my live squad? And that I’m learning how to use it for something other than general target practice? Good, keep it in the line up and keep playing it. Stay back, stay DOWN and just scan for purple bubbles, and other princess powers, you already know how long they last, get your scourges locked and hot on the wall and the moment the red is in cooldown, let them have it. Your descent angles will get better and better over time, and you will find yourself landing in safe spots more and more. Any dragon experience will help on this point.
