I was thinking if I somehow manage to get a glacier and 2 rhimes then I could run those on a strider, could be nasty cause they can't even follow you Like so: how the 「fluffernutter」 did you already get that!?! Was this on the test sever or something else?

Regretted a minute after getting there...it's a one way trip only! how is that setup doing for you? Mine is getting good damage and letting me finish off people where my teammates can't. Still only have one marquess and a shield on the other side so not quite seeing the full damage but even now, ouch. Not high damage, not brawling/assassin, but esp good at picking Ao Jun. The Quantum Radar active cycle quite match the burst timing of the Goon type weapons

you're telling me! I run a goon setup (dragoon marquess and an ecu for now, soon another marquess) and it steals kills that nobody else can get! Striders crazy speed brings me into good angles all the time so it is non stop shooting and easy kills, I would recommend the goon setup to everyone! Also, nice playing!

Best superglide ever, heat of battle and the pressure was on...
Yaman map, we had center secure, and what’s that on the upper bridge, but an Ad RH Loki full tilt for our side beacon. I had dashes saved and gave chase. Stopped him from getting our side and home beacons, giving him a constant Gust pew pew in the keister. Then (here comes the good part) as he’s making his getaway, I superglide off the ramp, over his head, snap a tight 180 in mid-flight and nail him on my descent as he comes into LOS.
I had been tickling him during the chase and didn’t know his health level, but that coup de grâce deserved a one-kill Godlike!

I was using dragoon with a single marquess and an ecu until I could get my second marquess, just got it today and can't wait to smack some people around with that! Oh strider you mad devil, gonna have some fun with full weapons! Happy to see you got another strider dude!

You haven’t lived until you cap the Castle map lower bridge beacon with a dash over the canyon to the lower level. Nail it for glory, miss it and fall to your death. I gotta create a YouTube account someday. Forget the Strider. I did that with a Haechi. Caught the enemy by surprised. He was probably wonder how the heck I got there. I pulled that move off once in my Kumi (AKA Super Chickin). Tried it a few more times and ended up in the creek. I am a few days out from getting a Strider out of the WS. I am reading this thread now so I have some idea of how to play this Bot.

I myself use dragoons and it works amazingly (alters the play style a wee bit). Seen a few people using some weird builds and doing well with them, those being chimera spyral, aphid thermite, flux gekko, trebchute arbalest, and oddly enough a zenit noricum.

heavypiece Welcome to the realm. My advice is to start out easy with Strider, I’ve seen too many guys with reckless bravado and huge egos go too fast too soon and flame out...leading to claims that Strider sucks, blah blah blah...aaaaaand they miss out, buhbye Patience and perseverance in the beginning, spend some time in custom mode and get some experience with all the different terrains of the various maps. When in battle...CQC - Close Quarters Combat - in a Strider is not for the beginner IMO. Get smooth with weaps that you like and practice the hit and zip back to cover. The more you do, the better you become...expand your game, etc... MOST important is to get it to top speed level 9 as soon as you can so you can avoid frustration and get accustomed to your base speed right off the bat.

Fresh out of the WS First Load-out. Going to take it out for a spin at L1 If your not upgrading anything else, it’s worth a few hundred gold to take it at least to 5 or 6....it’s pretty slow at1, not much fun

I am really enjoying it. Activating the ability and ...Woosh...Woosh...Woosh... I am having a bit of a learning curve thing, I seem to crash into things. Or I run out of Whoosh in the middle of open space, that takes me out of the game pretty quick. I switched out my hanger and put my Bolt, Kumi and Bulg in so I could pratice with dash bots. I am now building a Hechi in the WS. So in a few weeks I can fill my hanger with dash Bots. I have a few hours until the current up-grade is complete. Then I will start the up-grades on the Strider.

Also pertaining to the setup you are using, hunt anyone with the scourge family (spark, calamity, and scourge) because you can kill them with out taking any damage at all. All you do is get to 600m from them, walk into 600m so you can hit them but keep very close to 600m (back pedal when needed). While doing this count to 3, when you reach 3 dash out of 600m because then the enemy will lose their lock on and can't hit you at all, rinse and repeat.

Don't forget to keep below 5 dashes, as in when you are about to get to full dashes use a dash in some way, this in turn gives you more dashes per game

Being at L1 the bot can't take much of a hit. But that is some good advice. I will use that stratagy. I know from experence that loosing the lock when using the Scorge type weapons is quite frustrating.

So, I started playing another game called battle bay a little while ago. It is fun, a 5v5 game much like this one but with boats, also you can literally use any weapon or item you want end game as everything is PERFECTLY BALANCED.
I found evidence for my theory on why strider does so well, my theory was that speed is the most overpowered thing in any game. I was correct. I use a faster boat and put 2 shotguns on it (reloads make them shoot 1 after another after another) and oh damn did it do exactly what strider does!
I was able to dodge everything, circle around people till they were dead and just be everywhere I needed to be. So yes, I was right, strider was blessed with speed which made him the most overpowered bot in war robots, I guess we now know why strider does so well and have evidence for it!

After reading this page it's really made me miss my Strider. Damn you self imposed rules.
Mind you I've enjoyed the Bolt and now a Blitz. Blitz is a great bot to use your strider skills with.
Anyway i miss my Strider. He'll be back soon. *I Keep telling myself.

Agreed! When all things are equal... no magical powers in effect... the most valuable battle field asset is speed and mobility. When I don't get locked down and <expletive deleted> by two or three reds at once, I can kill a half a dozen easy using fast Scooter or mobile Raven.
