I’m in some big trouble....I took my Hades out of my lineup for awhile, and put the Viper/Shreeders on Strider....wow!
So, having discovered that this is a potent combo, I now need another Viper and 2 Shredders.....and I’d like them yesterday.....
I don’t have any other Mets stuff for Strider, usually roll Avenger/gust...
Donations gladly accepted!

Got a viper on my falcon and some shredders that I may have to peel off mercury, those things will stay on him no matter what. So what bots have you been killing with it? Falcons and leechs would be best.

When on my Hades, this rig has been the only loadout where I’ve taken Ao Jun down, airborne using Quantum Radar. Crazy good combo IMO, always get multiple kills with it. Falcons take time, but are doable. Just wish I could get another setup like this. I may drop some $$$$$ to get the needed gold, maybe....kinda not real happy with Pix these days......

So I finially decided that when I am done with my corona I am going to build another strider, then I will have on with glory and halo and one with spark and calamity, I don'tthink this was a bad choice and it frees me from the purple shields.

My dash hangar currently rocks both my Striders. Redeemer/Mag and Ancile/Pinata. There have been glorious times with both that I have achieved true CMS with SuckerPunch.

Scooter dances with an Ares and an Inquisiter(?). It wasn't pretty but it was effective... with assist from blue. Watch for ... I'm guessing it's the Ares pilot... coming back at me. Seems a lil peeved! Iol I do love how he strikes and then runs for cover! Then... watch how targeting screwed me out of a return shot on our peeved lil player just before he got behind cover. Grr!!

Anyone having success in killing leech? I have by leading them to my teams side of the map until they are so far from safety that they can escape my team (even with Last Stand and PS)
I have no clue if anyone else is doing well but I hope you all are! We need to pick this thread back up as well, so anything someone wants to discuss?

If a Leech tethers you and others shoot it, you will take the damage from Repulse. However, Strider excels at evasion and positioning, so this allows you to avoid four medium weapons, and to position quickly for striking when Leech ability stops. Since they will also very likely use Phase Shift, besides baiting them to use it or waiting out the Phase Shift, it is also a good idea not to go point blank at Leech due to the Phasing ability.

Ok im late to the party and thinking about building a strider to replace my pursuer (gust gust shredder) which is my first bot, Grab a beacon or 2 and last as long as possible. My hangar otherwise 12/12 (Ao Jun, Ares, Merc, spectre). I have L1 viper, L7 exodus for heavy. 12 gusts, 8 shredder and L1 marques (x2),L1 pulsars. Im kinda leaning towards rolling with exodus gust at first but building up my viper and shredders or marqes with goal to build a beacon grabber that can have a little punch at distance (and maybe counter the damn leaches). Thoughts on builds?

Being newer to the world of Strider, and rolling in my bright yellow sports version.....Level 9 Strider in M3, iOS
What can you guys tell me to be effective against Phantoms and Leeches.
BTW, leveling up is a given, lol.....but I’m not that strong yet.....maybe I need to learn to drive this thing better? Detailed instruction and if anyone has vids of lower level Striders, that would heal a lot!
TIA

BTW, leveling up is a given, lol.....but Iâm not that strong yet.....maybe I need to learn to drive this thing better? Detailed instruction and if anyone has vids of lower level Striders, that would heal a lot! TIA Speed is life with the STRIDER. DO NOT ENGAGE IN JOINED COMBAT WITH LESS THAN 3 DASHES....AND SAVE 1 TO EJECT THE SCENE. You can employ hit and run tactics with 1 dash...but it's "one pass, haul 「bum-bum」"...dump your load and light your cigarette leaving the scene. You have the speed to choose where you will fight and where you will leave to re-engage later. You are capable of mid flight course corrections and superdashes... while flying, if you are locked down, your dashes will keep you moving. Dashing past a bot, very close, will often break his target lock. If your STRIDER will fit between 2 bots engaging you at close range....blow through them, dash again, find cover, assess situation, kill reds on your terms. FIGHT ON YOUR TERMS...NOT THEIRS!!! Your weapons and dash count will establish your terms. Against a LEECH...your speed lets you escape direct fire and possibly get out of RETRIBUTION range...but if your team lights up the LEECH while you are linked, you are as screwed as anyone else. PHANTOM and PURSUER fight similarly...take away their ability advantage by breaking weps lock with erratic movement near them. Escape if you have less life... re-engage if you have the dashes, life and weps to kill him. ABOVE ALL: If you see me on the battlefield with a STRIDER.... DO NOT EMULATE MY TACTICS BECAUSE I VIOLATE MY OWN RULES ALL THE TIME AND GET KILLED A LOT. Have fun with your hotrod...do stupid stuff periodically as they work part of the time.

Everything psych just said... ditto! One reason we're often targeted is because we're all about HIT n RUN. People gripe about missiles but they pair very well with Scooter because they're FIRE n FORGET which is perfect for HIT n RUN tactics. A few pages back I added a silent film of me tossing bombs. So, unless you're going to add a lotta magical BS to your strider, it's not for standing ground and slugging it out. Some may play it that way, but that's not working its strengths or skills. The only thing I'm adding to Scooter is the anti lockdown... soon as I save up the 5K in gold. As for pilot skills... faster is always better-roadhog... and the one that allows it to heal itself, I don't recall the name. Not sure about any of the other skills. Those are the only two I have right now. Welcome to Club Spazz... that's how I feel when I'm dashing like crazy to get a kill or keep from getting killed!

Welcome to Club Spazz... that's how I feel when I'm dashing like crazy to get a kill or keep from getting killed! see but that is one of the things people get wrong, strider is made for SPEED and that lets him use literally ANY weapon he wants. Using, for example, shotguns. On something like an ares it works only a bit because they aren't able to get up to the enemy and into their face while we have no trouble getting in and out of the prefered range. Now with something like goons (like I use) the striders speed can get me to the 600m mark and get me into good firing angles while also helping me stay just out of the range of the reds weapons. You should understand since you can get to the correct range and escape easy while using the aphid and thermite setup. Also, weapons like redeemer and flux work because for either you can run in, deal a lot of damage and get away before they are able to kill you or with flux you can get to good angles, keep your line of sight the whole burst and then disapear. What im saying is that you can do EVERYTHING with strider, not only hit and run things. Also, roadhog, mechanic (the skill you were saying) and armour master should basically go on every bot in your hanger. They add much needed boosts to your bot that keep you alive for much longer than usual. Speed is something that is the most overpowered thing in the game.

As I said just above this post any weapon works with him and so you should try to use weapons that sound like FUN to you. Strider is also the definition of crazy so try all kinds of moves, even ones that seem useless like dashing into the gorge on castle then into the bottom part of that bridge. Also, ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS keep under 5 dashes. I will look for the string of posts where I said why (basically so you get more dashes) and point it out, keeping under 5 is important (so is keeping 3 or 4 when going into a battle, that is plenty for you to escape with or dodge until they are dead with)

You have a point... depending on the map and the particular target. Since Scooter isn't a hulk of HP, I don't want to stand in one place, take aim and then have to remain in place to keep rounds on target. Meaning, if it's a weapon that keeps me in the line of fire, no thanks! Now, if it's a weapon that delivers its load all at once and I know there are a few... of which I have maybe one ... okay, I'll buy that too. But I think with those you at least have to start while you're in the line of fire, fire and only then you can split. No? Can you share some clips of the weapons you're using? And to all the other strider folks out there.... I'd sure like to see more videos of our viscous lil terriers at work! It doesn't have to be an ... OMG, AMAZING ... type of video, maybe it's just a few seconds of something you've found works or even something that was a lesson of what NOT to do with strider. Everything psych just said... ditto! I can't really get videos in (can't even get photos in) but I can say this, I used calamity gust before the nerf for gusts (they still had a long clip) and it worked well because I could hit someone with damage until they started firing at me then I would dash away, they look somewhere else and I start again. It was all about oppertunity

Being fairly new to this strider game. I like to yell while dashing into an ares Sheild and shredding them with my avenger. It's really funny to see em' panic. "AGH, STRIDER! QUICK LEMME PHASE SHIFT AND WASTE MY BUILT IN WEAPONS, OH NO. MY BUIT IN WEAPONS ARE WASTED! CRAP, I CANT HIT HIM WITH MY CORONAS BECAUSE OF HIS ECU" Death usually follows...

Leech is about to get a Pilot with speed buff, so, that combined with Road Hog, Adamant Road Hog, and speed booster, boy what a threat that will be. This is why I am finding the following two builds to be the most efficient counter to Leech, as you can evade quickly and outmaneuver Repulse timer, quick strike and evade, and close very quickly on unsuspecting Leeches. Strider also excels at outmaneuvering the Leech weapons due to the relatively slow torso rotation of Leech Exodus (or Glacier) over Glory means less exposure to Leech weapons - close, unload, withdraw.

Regretted a minute after getting there...it's a one way trip only! how is that setup doing for you? Mine is getting good damage and letting me finish off people where my teammates can't. Still only have one marquess and a shield on the other side so not quite seeing the full damage but even now, ouch.
