After countless Ares assassinations - I just experienced THE KILL (of course not recorded) . A meaningless last microsecond kill, so flawless in its execution, that the resulting Ares death actually spiked my blood pressure a tad. Oh yes! Iâ??m one of those guys. Shenzhen on a sunny afternoon.....the closing seconds of another end game spawn ?grape? on the reds (that I initiated) ...after getting picked off by a freshly spawned Ares over on the side in back of me, I respawn at center in my ExoGust build, knowing I have just a few seconds to zip over there and give him his change. Standing there all stationary and stupid, in the gap between the buildings, I beeline all 5 of my dashes at him, land DEAD CENTER FKN BULLSEYE in his chest and unload point Mel Blanc. The KILL voice falling right on the WIN graphic....but the last 2 seconds is usually shown after that and THAT was where the magic was my friends. When that pig died, he snapped back re?wee-wee? fast and hit that sharp corner of the split level building BOUNCING his head forward and somersault face planting into the ground. Oh yes...SuckerPunch Nirvana has been achieved my friends. To commemorate this event, gifs please?

Bot is level 9 both gusts are level 12 although 1 of them is Mk 2 the Thunder is level 11. Some games it is the only bot I use and still comes top damage and usually top beacons. strider in a nutshell right here. This is exactly why strider is so loved by us, he is a swiss army knife with legs and attachments, works for anything and everything no matter what you put on him for weapons, even noris and zenit or ecu and ancile would work but that is a waste beyond reasoning.

RE: The heavy slot and THUNDER... that's what I have too but have been wondering if I should be using a different heavy gun. I like THUNDER primarily cuz it continues to reload as it's being fired. Anyone have a preference something else for the heavy slot? And why? Thanks!

Yeah... yeah... I've asked the same re Raven. Is there a specific pilot that's best for Strider? There's one UBER pilot for Ares... I've got four of that chic but no friggin Ares! Grrr!! Or is it choosing specific skills that matters most... that gives me the most ... of whatever I'm after? Thanks! Read more: war-robots-forum.freeforums.net/thread/34351/raven?page=3#ixzz5xrVhVvXg

Read more: war-robots-forum.freeforums.net/thread/34351/raven?page=3#ixzz5xrVhVvXgThere isnt a legendary pilot for Strider, but since BB IS THEE legendary Strider pilot, I will be putting a word in to Pix to name it after him! At the moment, any pilot will do, though other than Adrian (who gives increased weapon damage) I wouldn’t use a legendary because the specialty will waste a skill slot and not function for Strider. The main thing is to get the skills. At the moment, I have Road Hog, Armor Expert, Raider Gunsmith, and Mechanic. If you drop Strider later in match, it might make sense to have Adamant Road Hog, and definitely when you have the skill slots open up through promotion, using some slots for things like Sharpshooter, Master Gunsmith, Invulnerable Raider and skills that increase specific weapon damage like Gusts or Glory or Ember etc

Anyone have a preference something else for the heavy slot? And why? Thanks! I like Exodus with Gusts or Halos. Got the idea from this thread and it’s been working well. My Exodus is level 8 or 9 and thought it would be too slow, not enough quick damage, but I gave it a try and now consider it the standard build for fighting (my other standard is Ecu Ancile). Benefits of Exodus are constant reload, full damage at distance, and splash. I’m exploring other builds from this thread now and it’d be great to see a consolidated list of effective Strider load outs . There’s 19 pages to this thread! Is it buried in here somewhere?

Try it out, it is probably the best hugging weapon rn but will cost you an arm and a leg

Close range only, Glory ember or exodus with gust, halo, blaze or shredder. Mid range, dragoon marquess, or pins with avalanche or trident (not very good). skill or trlly builds: calamity sparks, flux gekko, vortex aphid, redeemer magnum. Not recommended are zenit noris, chimera spyral, ancile ecu, treb balis, mixed classes. ECU can substitute for one of the light weapons for survivability, it is recommended to use an ecu for champs beacon running.

Good to know! I had an Exodus on Scooter for a minute but felt the same... not enough quick damage! I'll start leveling it up and give it another go! Thanks!

Started running a viper that I won in Operations. I threw it on at level 7 and am surprised how much fun it is. I can usually cap center beacon and then hold the Reds off for a bit. Got it to level 10 and it’s been working better than my mk2 level 12 ember did.

Hey, has anyone ever made someone quit a game because they killed that person so easily in strider that they rage quit? It is a simple story but you gotta understand the situation. I dropped in strider, after looking over and seeing that we were on dead city and there was 2 vortex spectres and an aphid ancile leo.
I spawn on my right and the leo was ahead of me, I work my way close and I dashed from on top of a building to right next to the leo. This was all within the first minute and a half including me killing him and then I back peddled to our side of center then saw the same guy spawned in an ares, clearly pissed since I had only taken about 5k dmg.
He stomped toward me and hit the purple disco button as I hid behind cover, I waited it out and then I rushed forward. He took cover behind a building on the side of center like an idiot and I just dashed over to say hello, he knew he was dead, tried to turn tail and run but I had him in my grubby mits.
Then he left the game. I ran back to my side thinking he had bot hopped but after winning the game I look and he only had 31k dmg and no kills, he had just left the game. I was laughing my as* off when I thought he had bot hopped and even harder when I saw he had left the game, lol. Never felt better killing an ares pilot.

Never felt better killing an ares pilot. I don't bother checking the stats to see who did what, but I LOVE killing the MF purple bellies especially with Scooter. In fact when the mood suits me I will go out of my way to kill all the Ares I can find ignoring all other bots until the Ares or scooter is dead.

Tasers requires a decent bit of skill to play, I run an all scourge haechi so I know the skill it takes to play.

Thanks, and just joking about noricums, tasers do seems to be a bit skilled but it also adds the benefit of auto aiming

Anyone feel just a lil bad killing a red team strider with anything but your strider? I do! Feels a lil like offing a distant cousin. only if they are clearly a good strider player, if they are a bad one it feels good because you learn more when you fail then when you don't. Also it shows that you know the bot well enough to know its weaknesses, so I don't feel terrible unless the are a good strider pilot. Sometimes I even look the other way...
