In general my opinion to beacon spawn is that it should newer see daylight in live servers. And yes I know it is frustating moment when you have to walk long way back to the action (like Yamantau and Springfield) - been there and done that many times But still beacon spawning kills the whole idea of the battles because I want some realistic things in this game. In the realworld war zone there is no this kind of "spawn points". Above is just mine opinion. If I could, I would change beacon spawn to teleports (no, teleports do not exist in realworld neither). If you have watched Stargate series or movies then you know what kind of teleportgates I'm thinking. At home spawnpoint there would be one gate and when moving through gate it teleports bot to the another gate. Another gate will be somewhere middle of the map, but not in close to the center beacon. And enemy team has their own gates too. Gates can be two way ports, but it can cause "traffic jam" on gates when two bots are using gate at the sametime from home/center gate. Maybe gates should be oneway and two pairs of gates side by side. What else ? Thoughs and ideas

I think realism is kind of a moot point as we're talking about giant walking robots to begin with. Beacon spawning was tried and unsuccessful on the test server because it was too hard to recover from a losing position, i.e. as soon as you held center beacon you pretty much won because you could keep spawning there and prevent them from taking it back. Wouldn't teleports just make all the maps smaller? No one would walk to center anymore. But I like the new tactical possibilities of surprise attacks that come from it.

Yes you are right, teleports will make maps smaller. Just gave second thought to this and maybe these teleports are only "light version" of beacon spawning. What if teleport would be somekind personal transport? You enter to the gate and then you have ie. 3 seconds of time to aim green reticle to that direction where you want to teleport. Teleport has limited range - lets say 500m - where it can transfer you.

Beacon spawning is a ridiculously bad idea. Games would turn into base rushes a vast majority of the time and capping a held Red beacon would exponentially increase in difficulty.
