I'll take your Simple Minds 'Sanctify yourself' and raise it on a not so well known track ... Theme for Great Cities

Bass is my number one (and best) instrument, so I'm a Mingus fanboy, love the energy of his music, compositions, experimental nature of the period etc.
I could listen to this stuff for an eternity....maybe I will?

I remember seeing that show and loved it being a Devotee,a good many people asked me "how can you listen to this?" "With pleasure " I told them. Long live Boogie Boy!

The original "Boss" by The Rumblers. And its more famous spawn (if you're into 70s punk):
AYou wanna talk about the real junk? The Cramps! The punk scene in the 80's was epic. And late 70s wasn't too bad either if you were there,if I knew how to do this new fangled tech crap I'd put up "Next big thing" by The Dictators.True Godfathers of Punk!

You are welcome sir . . . That album carries deep sentimental value to me. It carried me through some tough places. Not to diminish Miles, because I feel almost equal about Beech's Brew. (Darned censor)

(Darned censor) Alice (Trane's wife) did some amazing work after he passed, I'm into her stuff. Took that to interstellar territory, if you know what I mean.
And there is the mighty Ornette...for the even more daring ears, ha ha ha

You've gone all jazz on me ... it's one genre that doesn't really appeal to me ... I have never really understood 4 musicians on a stage all paying different tunes
enjoy

Yes! That is some orginal space jam! Did not know about Alice though. . . looking it up now. This one's not as avant-garde, but the tune just gets to me.

Jimmy Smith! wildboar, jazz...it's just blues...at least at its core.
Punk, metal, or whatever can't escape that origin either.

It's just not my thing ... The Fast Show is another great British comedy show ... some of it you will think 「whiskey tango foxtrot」!? other sketches roar with laughter ...

Some Fusion:
Some kool kats that have delved deep into 70's Thai funk... love the bassist...
A chance find while searching... this channel has some AMAZING live sets from underground, and well known folk, alike:
And these guys... because Oz has produced some of the best progressive metal/rock in the past decade or so:
