Yet again, pixonic has failed to meet our expectations. The new economy was supposed to fix up all the P2W problems by making everything easier to get. But this is pixonic. They need to mess something up. Expectation: - Almost all components are 3-4x easier to acquire - Component deals are cheaper - Royale spins are cheaper Reality: - Only a small portion of the gear has actually had a noticeable price drop (about 20% of component items) - Very expensive and time consuming to upgrade - Most items are still prices excessively even with their supposed price drops Pixonic, you have failed us yet again. If workshop 2.0 isn't exactly what we wanted, this game will drop like a rock in the air.

i wouldn’t hold my breath for ws2. It will just make things harder. What’s the point of easier access to bits if you can’t upgrade em .... just saying.

Incentive has effectively been removed from the game. No point listing all of the issues as they have been stated in numerous posts and the OP has added (some of) the current issues. People want objectives/targets/rewards that are able to be achieved which in turn drives the desire for further improvement and (in the case of War Robots) encourage people to build hangars, develop bots/weps and move up leagues etc. Pix seems to have this mindset of handing out one thing with one hand while the other is taking two things back.
The latest changes, on top of the last 2 updates, have stretched the "carrot on the stick" out of sight of the ordinary player to the point where you would have to wonder if there is any point to the game other than a short term shoot 'em up.

a scam you say.....hahahaha of course it's pixonic. how do they expect people to pay for this.. I spent a lot of cash upgrading endlessly i am still floating between gold 1 and diamond 3. up down up down ..my budget will never allow for a hangar of 5 dashbots - i have just got my first haechi after 10 months and i have 1 Inqui... most of my regular bots are at L9 or L 10 if im lucky as are my weapons.. I love the game but i dont expect to make the upper leagues anytimesoon/ever unless i drop in £1000 - overnight which will never happen for a game/. i would rather spend that on Wh.@ s , and C+a__e

You trusted Pixonic! That is a good one.
May I suggest joining the 6/6 League. Though some of the legacy weapons and bots were adverserly affected by the new economy, most were not and a few even had an improvement. Besides, there is only a maxinum of 5 upgrades per item.
Oh, and do not put any hope with WSP2. Notice that about everything in the current game has its own currency. My bet is so will WSP2. That way, their argument will be, “You can reserve your silver for upgrades.” Did they not say that about gold lately and the Royale?

I don’t think it was a bad move on their part:
Hear me out.
Before the cost for spectre : 300 USD. Costs to upgrade == x
Cost after: Spectre 100 Cost to upgrade = 200 + x
This was done to blunt the upfront investment, and allow justification of purchases earlier in game.
That is, before nobody plays in lower league with spectre. It’s too expensive. Now you can pay 100 however and enjoy it in gold ++

Only people who really get the shaft are those who had mountains of silver already and were willing to wait for upgrades

It's nothing like they said it would be! The pre-component bots and weapons kept their old prices but the upgrade times and costs are just terrible. That's what bugs me the most.

It literally destroyed any desire to grind for new gear. There is no world in which I pay 170m over 2 months to max a single light weapon. Forget it. I haven't even LOOKED at the daily deals after the new economy, such is my apathy.
I have my main hangar, obtained through sweat and tears, and I will take that to mk2 maxed. The last few days have been spent upgrading a 6-pack hangar.
Pixonics decision to release this economy is a monumental mistake of epic proportions. So many players will lose every will and incentive to grind once they are satisfied with the state of their grandfathered items.
Either this "economy" gets massively modified or the game, such as it is, dies.
Sad but that's my 2c.

I usually get two SCs per month, watching ads etc. I really don't care about it anymore. They can give me premium stuff for free for all I care, I wouldn't be able to use it due to the upgrade time and cost. I just finished grinding for a Pursuer and it started rusting from day 0. And when Pix comes with the inevitable pay for reduced upgrade times and AG, I would not be buying. Sorry, but this pushes PTW too much for my taste. I'll play till I get bored of the futility and move on. I wish the Pix team all the best (not kidding), since they created a great game, but I would probably feel, at that point of time, that the game has run its course for me.

Bots got a little cheaper. Meta weapons like Scourge did not. Scourge costs as much as spectre now. You only need five bots, but you need 15-20 weapons.
Even though weapons did not got cheaper they got A LOT more costlier to upgrade.
And THIS part is just a total scam!

No point in getting new gear free or paid, unless you have enough silver and gold to speed up the upgrades. And even that it's just stupid to spend 100 millons in upgrades just for one weapon. Thankfully I don't care about being competitive or stay relevant to the meta, so I'll stay with my old stuff in lower leagues.

I don't understand the claims that these bots did not get cheaper. Deals on component bots that were $100 to $300 rm I am seeing are now $30 to $75, usually fully loaded with weapons and sometimes with a paint job.
Seems like they hugely dropped the price of the gear and increased the Ag cost about 20 percent. What blows up the cost is when you level stuff up to 12 Mk2. If you take bots to 9 and weapons to 10-12, you should not have a problem staying current in the meta if you are a regular player. That's good enough to play in M or C league on most devices.
What am I missing?

Yes, I think that pixo *needs* more people to have newer gear, not just from a financial standpoint, but to make the game more entertaining to whales. Making new bots easier to acquire but more costly to upgrade *should* increase the purchase cycle and even out their revenue stream over time while pissing fewer people off about not being able to obtain new gear.

Ask the ?illegitimate child?s at Pixonic why Des got just shy of a doubling of silver/time hike on the upgrades.. you start out with that bot.
Their BS reason for this move is just that BS, I wish they'd just be honest and say why they did it instead of treating us like morons. I'd stil hate teh change and despise them, but maybe a little more respect for honesty.

The only difference is they brought down some of the component prices prior to thie price hike they instituted a couple of months ago.
So basically components per wsp is back to what it was but now taking much more Ag and time to upgrade. What a rope a dope, bait and switch that was!

I don't know what you're all talking about. I got tons of Vitayz, gareths, gepards, and stalkers plus a bonus orkan, gust, and Rajin. FOR FREE... that's what I'm talking about. And with all the extra gold I save from not having to use gold in royale I can have dedicated hangars for each set of them.
Thanks Pix and humbug to all the naysayers.

What am I missing? Bots are only less expensive from the standpoint of “book” price: total cost of ownership (TCO) tells a completely different story. The increased upgrade and speed-up fees are an additional cost to the purchase price, and very real. Likewise with the new extreme upgrade times; in a vehicle, that would be time spent off the road, unavailable for use, but being unable to compete on the field is an equivalent extra burden of inconvenience and qualifies as a cost of ownership. The end result is that equipment has become far more expensive, regardless of acquisition cost.
