50$ for Lance was fine with me. 300$ right now for the shrimp bots, 500$ for the new hot ?poo-poo? in a few month? Nah, thanks. So, are there other mobile shooters with good community like we have here on War Robot Forum;) and tactical elements but not much pay to win?
I'm starting to look for alternatives and I guess I'm not the only one as I got no interest at all getting wasted by these overpowered strafing shrimp bots.
So, any ideas? Thanks a bunch!

Yeah, I'm also interested in other games. Since forum members obviously have similar tastes I'm keen to hear suggestions.

Installing Robokrieg right now, will let you know in a few minutes how my first impressions are. If anyone can suggest even another War Robots-like game, I'd appreciate it.

Anything that is not f2p/p2w? my guess is any game you start will get to that point sooner or later. You get to a point in a game where you have put your time in and it sucks to go elsewhere and start over. I am not there yet. Now when my 14k in Au becomes TOTALLY useless then I will probably unistall and be done and go get a PS4 or something.

Ok. first impressions:
- you can customize controls aka set where your movement button is (d-pad) and where your firebutton is. I like that. - movement is strange. I'm currently no walking robot. Instead I'm some tiny flying ball with guns which is wierd. - Performance is great, even on my old iPad and I did not experience any lag but I guess I'm playing against bots right now;) - Prices for robots are from 10 to 40€ which is reasonable from what I can tell - Upgrades are instantly, so if you spent your -ingame-money you don't have to wait for two days
I guess I'll play around with Robokrieg for a few hours and see if I like it.
Ok, Robokrieg is not for me.
- Autoaim/Semiautoaim/no Autoaim. Feels like playing/walking on rails - Minimap: You see where your enemys are so you don't have to look around and remember where everyone is - Movement/Animation of the robots is really, and I mean really strange. Looks like. Can't even describe.

I tried Robokrieg awhile ago and didn't care for it. I'm spoiled because War Robots did so many things right... and then screwed it up by doing so many things wrong. War Robots's mechanics and graphics are still very good, it's just all the other stuff they've done that make it extremely frustrating to play now. But despite its many recent shortcomings, whatever I replace it with does have some big shoes to fill.
I'm hoping BoT fits the bill, but now I'm afraid that if I don't get in on this ICO, I'm gonna end up in the same boat I'm in with War Robots; that is, being at a constant disadvantage to those who did decide to invest early.

Until we picked up War Robots we were STILL playing Mechwarrior4Mercenaries hosting a server on Gameranger. We have a utility (MXC) that has EVERYTHING in it, the entire game all updates, the hi def and hud patches plus nearly all 400 maps. one download and you have well over 100 mechs, dozens and dozens of weapons, and a mech lab STILL like in no other mecha based game TO DATE. We grew tired of a small group of public players so entrenched in their style of play (long range 3rd person view, jump snipers), ONLY ever using 3 or 4 chassis with ONLY ever 2 or 3 weapons map after map, night after night, that it just crushed every new player (and there have been a few hundred over these last few years)The mechlab used in Mech 4 is STILL the most fun and yet no other game has copied it since. Pick what you want and go play. No skill grinding. No leveling up. Just your own natural skills in any mech configed anyway you want. It offers up to 12 vs 12 play with styles of games on any map, team battle, team king of the hill, team destruction, etc, etc. with SO much control of your server that its amazing nothing like it has been offered since.......

BoT looks impressive. I like the robot animations in the game play. Kind of reminds me of the movements in the move Chappie and District 9. I like how the HUD tells you how much damage you're doing too, instead of giving a life bar. The single rocket on the light bot works like a mortar, and it looks as if splash damage is lessened past the point of impact. The multi missile system the other team was using looked awesome - kind of what I imagine a real hydra system to look like.

I played Hawken for a while, but it was too fast paced for me, and they will turn the server off as of January.
I played Mech Warrior Online - to be honest, for me it was simply too dificult. I am not a dumb guy, but it was simply nonsense, absolutely not consumer friendly. In my first couple of fights I did not even know how to handle it, where to go, etc. I even tried it twice, erased the game and then reinstalled it, but it seemed to be a pretty unfriendly game to me (qand yes, I did the training in the beginning, still it was overcomplicated).
I tried Crossout, but was not very successfull, and found that its not as creative as it first sounds, going up and down in the same car was really boring, and also strategically it was weak.
I heard that World of Tanks is good untill you reach a level, then its P2W as well (dont know much further, maybe this is not true). Now I try War Thunder, maybe this will work out.

I am more interested in playing RPG(role playing games) games, Me and my brother have got a quite big collection of the video game console, which we love to play at every weekend with friends and all together. All collected from the Internet recommended site available dedicated for gaming consoles. My favorite list are from final fantasy xv, Darks souls, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Recently got a new Forza Motorsports7, just love to play it.

I have been playing this for years. I feel its an acquired taste. I would never have even considered War Robots had MWO been available for iOS. Played the 3rd person campaign Battletech game, but it’s just not the same as the 1st person Mechwarrior games. Before War Robots I even used,to watch videos of other people playing MWO just to get my fix. I even resurrected my old PC once to,play through Mech 2 Mercenaries one more time. Battletech is missing out on a massive market by offering no simplified 1st person alternative for devices.

I wouldn’t say they are similar, only in the sense that theyre PVP shooters, but most of the players I talk to in chats have switched over to Guns of Boom and Rules of Survival. RoS is still in Beta. It looks like it has potential to be really cool but I could not seem to understand it - like to the point that I could not figure out how to fire my weapon (and I’m not the only one).
GoB is really fun and there is a LOT to it. A BUNCH of weapons and maps and character/weapon customizations. Also has OPTIONAL (only) ads.

Battletech is missing out on a massive market by offering no simplified 1st person alternative for devices. The game --- and the franchise --- suffers from needless complexity, table top bad design and things that you don't need in a modern game like thermal management. That said buying stuff in the game is fair, you don't run roulette. You see a price, you buy it. Nothing outrageous except for $500 gold skinned mechs that happened some years ago and available on a very limited number. But generally you can buy any mech with in game credits, except for the latest mechs which is introduced monthly and has a paywall that exists for like six months. Battletech is indeed missing out on a huge market, even if they had to resurrect the much hated Mechassault titles that might actually be a better fit for mobile. Buy a new mech every month seems to be MWO's primary monetization tactic. You don't level mechs and weapons --- they are all pretty static and everyone plays on the same level. But each mech has a complicated skill tree you have to build through and which you have to grind for the XP needed. However this skill tree also allows you to further customized your mech in a very fine detail. The game is certainly not for the simple.

I have recently gotten the loyalty Griffin myself but hasn't decked her out yet. That said, it's likely to get a heavy missile layout using MRMs.

It’s a PVP FPS. Again, not a whole lot like War Robots but it’s what a lot of War Robots players have switched to and taken a liking to for some reason. I was looking for a good vid that showed a little bit of all the features in the game but mostly just found a lot of gameplay vids. Here’s one that shows some features and some gameplay though the gameplay in this vid is not great.

Anything that is not f2p/p2w? I dont know of anything like this that has the graphics and gameplay of War Robots that is free. Like you im interested to see if there is but my gut says no simply because to stay on the cutting edge of game it takes money for companies to make this kind of product.

Of course, I wouldn't mind paying, as long it's a fixed and known amount (like 60 bucks for a PS4 game plus perhaps some subscription). Doesn't have to be f2p.
