First things first, those thinking this might be a discussion about Bone Thugs n' Harmony's 1995 hit single, I'm sorry to disappoint. That line forms over there, behind salty af. Second, those looking for a vigorous discussion of the themes and narratives in the 1986 Ralph Macchio movie, [AurN] perfectlyGoodInk will be leading a panel at 3. Sorry, wrong thread. BUT... for the rest of you, I'm needing a little expert guidance and advice on my War Robots career and development. So...here's the situation. I have about 10,000 WSP, and I'm not sure how to spend them. I have a few good options. First, let me set the table. 1. I'm in Low Silver now, and expect to be here for awhile. I have zero ambition to race up the ladder to Gold, happy to take my sweet time and really explore the game. As a result, while considerations for Gold Tier are worth making, they're not paramount. 2. My preferred playstyle is beacon runner and knife fighter. I'm open to midrange, but zero interest in sniping or camping. I like to get my hands dirty. 3. Favorite bots are Geps and Cossacks. Running a Boa/ Muhlakai brickfighting build right now and loving it, though. Given those, here are the options I'm looking at. I am NOT closed to other suggestions- the more the merrier! 1. Buy a Stalker. This bot seems like loads of fun. Sure it's fragile, but I love to play Cossacks so I'm accustomed to being light on the feet. 2. Buy a Trident. Someone talked about a TTP Golem build that's great against MagGeps. I'm not looking to go all in on an answer to single issue, but if the build is useful and fun for other play, I'm definitely curious. 3. Buy a Carnage. I can save for it no problem. This mech seems exciting as hell, and right up my alley with the speed and smashmouth playstyle. But will it kick me up a few rungs on the matchmaker? Want to stay Low Silver. 4. Buy some other mech? For bots, see #3. Case may be made, but I have to be careful not to climb the mm ladder. 5. Another weapon?First thing that comes to mind I'll want later might be a Taran, but I already have two. I want to buy something new and fun, not something I already have- even if I'll need it later. Thanks for any insight!

I'm no expert (except, perhaps in sounding like one), but I'd vote Stalker. Beacon capper that gets its hands dirty. That being said, I've never run one because I hear it loses effectiveness in Gold, but as that wouldn't deter you, sounds like it's the thing for you. I love having them on my team and hate seeing them in red.
I say that instead of Trident because you haven't yet tried midrange. I also don't see a whole lot of Tridents even in High Silver, so it doesn't seem to be a high priority weapon (3rd Taran would be higher priority, I'd say). Try a quad-CRV Pin Patton as an Ag-only mid-ranger and see how you like it. You're definitely not in the thick of things anymore doing midrange, and it's kinda like sniping with splash, so I'm guessing it won't be your cup of tea. But a midranger can be a boss at Canyon and indispensable at Yam and Springfield.
I think Carnage would probably kick you up once you level it to where it's decent (I think the Stalker MM penalty is less because it's a light bot -- Carnage's ability value depends on its speed, which is fairly low at base, but Stalker's ability is huge out-of-the-box).
But remember, the new MM comes live in a week. I'd say hold on to the WSP until after things shake out.

Try a CRV Patton vs the Geps before buying a trident. 7500 WSP isn't a small investment. I like my 2 tridents so far, but I think I should have bought my Taran 3 and 4 maybe 5 before I got them. I also have 2 right now.
I was running a 3/7 lineup and bought a Carnage. It's super fun with the shotties. Just know that it will bump you up. I regularly saw shielded bots when it was in the line up. I basically had to run lvl 6 bots to balance it.

I believe I was the one proposing TTP V MagGep, and I'm inclined to agree with others. Give a quad Pin Patton a shot before you commit to the Trident. It's a great weapon, but the play style requires patience and timing, and it sounds like you enjoy a more aggressive play style.
Tarans are never a bad investment, particularly in low silver. My baby account runs two Boa Thunder/Tarans, and they're very effective in knifing (but a bit slow). And the Tarans will see use down the line as you go upwards. Same for Magnums. Can't really go wrong with them.
But be careful of the bots. They tend to bump you up to higher categories. Whether or not that's still the case with new MM remains to be seen, but Weapons before bots is usually never a bad idea.
(Personaly, I find the wsp bots to be completely underwhelming..)

Thunder Carnage all day, but it does carry a WSP 20% penalty so unless you keep it at a low level it will kick you to at least mid-silver. We are weeks away from a drastic change in the MM so gotta agree with others' comments that it might be best to wait it out. I've ran a Stalker in mid to high Silver before... it's a glass cannon without an effective cannon and a poor match for my ambushing skills. That said, I've been pist off by enough of them, and I see plenty in use in low to mid Gold tiers even, so don't listen to the haters. With the right will to use it, they are quite effective as cappers, flankers, and distractions. 3 out of 5 bots in my Gold hanger carry Tarans, 'nuff said?

Dredd77 - Carnage will kick you up. I've tried 4/6-7-8 and it generally puts me in places the rest of my roster really doesn't want to be. I think it probably starts being useful in a 6/8 hangar. Anyway, I'd suggest you save the WSP. See what the new MM system brings, especially given that you want to stay in the middle territory (if you were hellbent on 12/12 then that simplifies things considerably). If the MM change is significant enough, it might open up some options that aren't currently viable.

A Rhino is a perfect combination between a knife fighter and a beacon capper. Just make sure you have orkans

I would go Carnage or even save a little longer and go Rhino. Since you like running beacons and fighting up close, don't throw away 7500 on a Trident. Maybe see if any new weapons arrive in the update before spending? Good luck.

Buy a stalker? No.
Buy a Carnage Yes! The more the merrier. Thunders are best on it. Tridents are good on it too--tridents you will likely use on a fury when you get into gold.
Since you like speed, I'm afraid the Patton will disappoint; so, not recommended.

You are NOT going to want any of the WSP bots in Silver. They're too flimsy/slow. I have a Thunder Carnage in my trash gold hangar and love it, though. It's a decent step towards where you're thinking of going eventually, however. Just because you HAVE the WSP doesn't mean you have to spend them. Aside from mags there really isn't anything you need down there. (You've already got enough Tarans for now, but a single PDB Griffins takes two eventually, but that still seems like putting the cart before the horse.)
Bottom line may well be that you simply have more WSP than you can use at your current tier, so you might just choose to purchase for the future anyhow. Probably better than buying something you could regret later and delays your tiering up when you want to. It's not like a brickfighting setup is terribly demanding on the resources in the mean time until the weapons are up to 7 or 8. Plenty of Ag to upgrade weapons or bots in the background.
