Yup... but now, with the league point distribution change so that the top 2 losers get positive points, SF is a map I expect to see that happen in a lot. Lot's of folk don't like it, and will not even try to go get the beacons since that takes time away from fights, which means no damage (as evidenced by your damage score... I often come in last in damage on SF but 1st in beacons. Sucks when you lose but is fine when we win), which means no Ag, and probably negative league points. They prolly figure, "screw it, get the top spot and who cares if we win?"

Haha could be. I did have a fight on this side vs 2 reds. Only reason I got some damage.

Springfield City Spawn is the true "Trust Fall" test of war robots. It usually doesn't end well.

I'm half way up the table in champions league 3 and believe it gets no better. Never paid a dime to pix and happy I didn't. The tanking and team mates with no urge to win the game. Players with three, four bots in their hanger and these players are all level 30.
Not enjoying this at the moment.

Looks like your team thought attacking there spawn with no beacons was the way to go. Sadly, I have seen this tactic in Expert and above and it never ceases to amaze me that people still attempt this tactic. I think it works every blue moon in the upper meta but all it takes is one lone stalker or Gareth to make it across the river bed and go on a capping spree and your team is done. I have even seen the team doing the spawn raiding kill all of the reds, but still lost due to poor beacon control..

Lol that's how most people in gold and below are with that spawn. All they know is walk foward and shoot the enemie ignoring the fact that there's 3 other beacons not in front of them

refreshing to see yellow lasers I hate sidetracking a thread, but I've always wondered - why are the lasers different colors? Is it random or based on leveling?

I feel you, OP. I have similar experience too at Silver 2. Blue is down 2-3 beacon count, shot clock winding down. I took my lumbering Leo on a right flank on the city side alone, heading for red home beacon in the hope to draw some reds.
I wasn't expecting to successfully cap red home beacon, but my goal is to draw at least 2 reds to come after me, thereby giving advantage to my other 5 blues on the open field side witn 3 beacons. They just need to cap one to turn the tide.
So my Leo lumbered down on the extreme right to leverage on the cover and also increase the distance that reds have to gain on me, thus increasing time taken away from main action.
I managed to draw at least THREE reds and made it all the way to their beacon. Didn't turn it blue in time but I was fairly confident my team would have taken the superior 5 on 3 advantage and seized the middle one.
When I next spawned at the dam end, to my horror, all 5 blues were right next to me, firing Noricums, Aphid and Spirals... Nuff said..

I almost agree entirely, once, my team had 1 beacon (our spawn) and we rushed red spawn and kept killing them before the beacon bar ran out, doesn't often work due to low coordination though.
