Some of you guys might know this, and some might not.
Just got an update. Please note that leaving even BEFORE the countdown ends also counts towards the points that will throw you into the Leavers Queue. Just found out from Pix after I got thrown into it while doing experiments. Good thing I have a direct link to them to chat.
Also, if you are in LQ, you will still play in the normal queue if you are squadding with someone NOT in the LQ.

So when they say map skipping will not get you penalized, that isn't true.
Any time you click on leave button when a map has been selected will result in negative karma.
And yes, a way not to play in LQ is squad with NQ players until you get out.

Im curious JKhoo. How many maps did you skip to get into the LQ and how many games did you have to play to get out?

What about game crashes/freezes? Does that also contribute to bad karma?

What about game crashes/freezes? Does that also contribute to bad karma? if the freeze happen during the battle, after you registered some dmg, I don't think it will affect any karma. not sure about freeze before the start of a battle,

I can confirm the above as have sort of thoroughly tested it with the spare account - Once you press the to battle button and you leave without fighting the LQ is 15-20 starts away (80% of the time). What ever the reason is for ur disconnect.

What about after botting out? Once you lose your last bot, if you click the leave battle button, does that count against you? Or do you have to sit and watch the rest of the entire match?

That should be fine. I mean, having that button in the middle if the screen and there being a secret rule of not being allowed to hit it would be mind-numbingly stupid...

Pixonic's intention is to get leavers out of the normal player's pool because they spoil matches. If leavers don't actually get go past the "searching for players" to the countdown, they won't get a negative rating for the game which is what they're after. I'd assume they put in the "leave battle" tab that automatically comes up once you've meched out because they don't expect you to watch minutes of a game you can't take part in anymore and they're ok with that. Its when you hit "game menu" and choose "leave battle" that I'd be cautious of.

Are we talking consecutive leaves here, or cumulative? For example, I was in the middle of a battle and got a phone call I had to take, so I left the battle. So am I now one point closer to the LQ, or only if I did that for several games in a row? And if it is cumulative, over what period of time? X number of leaves in a week, a month, a year?

Nobody except Pix knows how the whole thing works, and Pix may change it at will. Also tanking and LQ advice is a taboo subject here, and any discussion about it us a bit suspect... But one guess is, it takes a win with top 3 damage (maybe also capture medal counts) to reduce leave counter. That would explain why some have easy time getting out, while others play full game after full game but seem to never get out. The whole thing seems quite screwed up really, high level tankers have easy time getting out while new players accidentally getting put in there may be beyond salvation... Disclaimer: Never been in LQ myself, so this is 100% speculation, and impressions gathered from this forum.

They can't know if you have a bug or can't clean your karma. I've sent over 100 messages and gotten various responses from fake sympathy with my situation to out right threats to ban my profile and my ip address if I disclosed any conversations between Pixonic and myself. But the jist of every one was that I'm being shown as still leaving matches and that the only way for me to get out is to not leave any matches early and not skip any maps. That does include not dropping out at the countdown by the way. Pixonic never specified that but I haven't been doing any of that since the last events in April. I'm at my wits end on how to get out. I have another profile stuck in there as well. Steel Cat only has four Destriers 8/7s in it and can't compete with those highly upgraded players that well either. That profile getting put in there was a mystery to me since I rarely left matches early and skipped only 1 map that I didn't like playing with that setup. I can only assume it was an unfortunate combination of leaving a couple of matches, skipping the same map 2-3 times in a row and maybe dropping from the countdowns more than once. And to be clear, I only left matches where the number of players were uneven enough to truly put one side at a distinct advantage over the other. One side missing 2 or more players compared to their opponents. For a company that claims they want fair gameplay they certainly don't provide it and force players to endure unfair matchups in both equipment and player numbers. *sniff-sniff* I smell b*llsh*t mixed with hypocrisy.

Any time after you press the red button and leave without fighting. Tricky48 has a valid point. My tests were in a row with a level 1 account with a destie and Cossack. I just tested it again a few times for the fun of it and seems like it's over 20 starts now. Basically the test is 1. Hit the red button 2. Almost immediately terminate the session. In app or terminating the app results in the LQ outcome.
