Is there a separate server for Amazon players? It's the only thing that makes sense to me now.

Nope, they are not different, you just have 2 places to download it from. But both run on android, so it will connect to android servers.
IOS has less players than android, and they suffered in matchmaking just becouse of that. A third platform with even less players simply wouldn't work.

I truly believe it has a separate server. Check out my screenshots on the no moon or yamanta u thread above. It's the only explanation for how I'm ranked where I am.

Are you sure you downloaded from Amazon app store? I only ask because I have both Google play store and Amazon app store on my fire. I'm fact I just uninstalled my Amazon WE with my level 30 profile and installed from play store to start fresh on the real server.

Another thing that points to different servers is the fact that I was able to get the same nickname on my brand new profile as I had on my level 30 profile.

Any other new kindle players out there? Im tempted to buy one just to see wth is going on I had to test this too, so instslled the proper Amazon app (need to enable dev mode on Android, then enable side-loading apps). Then I installed War Robots from there, and started a new game. It connects to Amazon, not Google Play, so at least something is different. Both are version 2.9 but slightly different dates (as shown by Google Play / Amazon Apps app screens). Hmm. This'll be my third War Robots account... Oh well. This time I'm going to go with heavy Ag bots.

And then me with 2 light bots, and few total newbies (I was 3rd in damage pn losing side...). Yeah, gotta be different servers with far fewer players. No need for LQ, it's all LQ there! I think this will be fun! Bloody but fun.

Take a look at the win percent of the top 2 in legend league above. Similar to mine. It's really hard for the top players to win on that server because of the mm combined with low player pool. Too players get teamed up with clueless newbs against 15 to 25 level players.. Hell!

Well, now there are three servers: Android, IOs and LQ...

Do they have a separate server in China for their non Google Android players there? Considering the game is already supporting Chinese simplified, and the potential player base is much larger... They might be able to support a fourth platform there and it maybe a huge one. Compared to Google Play, War Robots gross revenue ranking is much lower, like around the #100 mark for all games give or take high fluctations, but generally in the top 20 for action/arcade. sensortower.com/ios/us/pixonic-llc/app/war-robots/806077016/In Google Play, War Robots is generally around the Top 20 to 50 mark in Gross Revenue for all games. One might conclude, War Robots has more players on Android and possibly greater gross revenue. Its also the preferred testing platform because of its ability to bypass the Google Play store to install the test client. In fact I wonder if the Amazon Fire tablet can install and play the Android test server client.

I think the reason for separate servers is they can't guarantee updates go live on each platform/App Store at the same time. They've stated this is one of the reasons they haven't combined the servers. I'm sure there's probably more to it than that, but that plays a role. Thanks Apple.

Well, on the bright side I must be really happy with this decision, because it means that somehow they'll try to keep War Robots compatible with my kindle Fire, no matter how many updates come in the future...
