Yes. Old ones looked better, except possibly the pin.

The piñata now looks like a ray gun

I think the old ones were terrible. The black and red palette clashed with almost every bots color scheme. The tulumbas model resembled a computer tower / game console / vcr, pinata looked like a bread box, pin like a dust-buster. The new models look much more like military hardware and colors now match bots better.

The boxy thing of the new ones looks awful.
The old pin look just as awful, but if it's all or nothing, I'd like th eold ones back.

They all look the same, like crap. My guess is that is what they will do to some bots. They look really weird on the Griff.

I like the new mechanic of the Tulu/Pin/Pinata, but like it's been said by many people, the new look is way too cartoony for me. The Dash bots look way too alien, the redesign of the Schutze is bad (I'm probably the only person here who gives a Schutze about that bot), and in all honesty the firing animations of almost all weapons/projectiles need to be toned down, too cartoony, too much fake, it's all just so bad. The entire reason why I started playing in the first place is because it was much more realistic in the beginning than it is now.

There, I had my one rant for the month, don't mind me. Just hatin' on the new look of things AND the direction Pix is taking the game is all.

Only the pinata the protrusion on top of the weapon looks weird. Pin and tulu looks better than the old one, especially tulu

I'll stay with new texture and new reload mechanic.

God I HATE the new models. And not just for the weapons, the bots too. Shutze especially. Rogatka? Don't like it, loved the old one, but I can live with it. But the Shutze? You could see its lineage with the Boa and Leo. It was gorgeous. The new one is an abomination. But it is still killing fools who underestimate it.

I just don't like that pins and pinatas look so similar now. An important aspect of the game is identifying ranges of your opponents. It was already hard enough using a phone screen, now it's just harder.

To be honest, design never seems to have been a strong suit of Pixonic.
There's no defined 'head' style for example.
Some robots clearly have a head like the Griffin.
Some robots like Gareth seem to have a weapon for a head.
Some robots like Carnage don't seem to have any viewports at all.

On a related note. Some robots have arms, some don't.

I think however the new dash bots do seem to have a certain consistent style and flair superior to anything before. So let's see how it plays out.
