I'm the player of Lt Sterling on Android. A long Battletech fan, this game is fun..ohmergawd is it fun!! Hands down this is pretty close to Battletech. I played for a while, not really paying attention to strategic building but rather overall play strategy. Some people I work well with...even without a chat function we are on the same page regards to covering one another, luring bloodthirsty Gatlin gun users into a crossfire trap or taking beacons. Other players have me yelling at my tablet.
I guess I'm one of those clubbers because I like the starting mech. I put silver into upgrading it. Only restraint is time. I know I should get brave and not sit on piles of silver and gold and expand my armory beyond 2 mechs.
As far as my playing style: Gatlin gun and missiles are my BFF. I like the combo, it works for me. I like the jumper (Wasp) mech but I use it for hurrying strikes and attempts to take beacons. I might just take the leap if I see anything resembling a Crusader version for this game.
