Just did some experiment with the new "influential points" things and realize you can get heavy bots at Lv.1...
「whiskey tango foxtrot」? Pixonic! Really?
If you invited a actually friend who might be interested in War Robots, you will get him/her seal-clubbed by Leo and Natasha!!! Just imaging you just pass tutorial missions and starting to face actual players with your little Destrier and Cossack, BOOM, a Natasha take away half of your HP in single volley. It definitely won't be a pleasant experience for new players.
Please! Pixonic, you really should think twice before implanting new features...
Influential point system is a failure in its current status. To fix it, they need to:
1. Make it Facebook-free when exchanging currency. 2. Give players option to exchange whatever amount of influential points they want. It's unnecessary to exploit players twice after they purchase gold to exchange other currency. 3. Only give new player free Leo, Natasha, Golem after they reach lv.8~10. It's really stupid to see Natasha destroy everything in beginners' games...

You can get Natasha, Leo, even Griffin at lv.1, if you are invited by friend through "Squad with friends" thing and link your account to Facebook. It also will become a loophole for some players to generate endless influential points if having a lot of time to create fake Facebook accounts. I got some points while testing the new system, won't do it anymore because it's really pointless.... However, many people will definitely do it in the future and it will totally ruin the gamer's experience for genuine new players. Edit: I forget to capture screenshot at lv.1, so this is the result. Only played 4 games, with 450k highest damage and ~200k average damage.

Leo has double hp compare to Vityaz, which can be acquired at lv.4. Leo also has build-in lv.5 pinata and dual-punisher, which can destroy any lv.1~3 bots in seconds. Natasha has 110k hp, compared to Vityaz 80k at lv.2. Natasha also has almost twice firepower compared to Vityaz. Newbies stand no chance against these bots.

sorry to ask a dumb question bc I haven't had time to get on yet. but how do you buy influence points with gold (assuming its possible). whats the conversion rate? not really interested in the WW bunch but I have this strong feeling that the dashes will cost influence points. whats the conversion rate. personally I cant be bothered with these influence points if I have a chance to convert gold.

I wouldn't invite or squad with a lower leveled player as this inadvertently brings them into your league, where they would be ill-prepared.

.... lol this is like nothing... you can upgrade your bots to those levels in a couple hours... when I started playing I was a day in and started getting smashed by mag geps... The problem is about the FIRST hour of those new players. The first hour is pretty important for free mobile games. If the players enjoy the first hour, he/she probably will come back to play more and even become a faithful customer. If they feel confused and frustrated at the very beginning of the game, well, they will just delete it and forget about the game. Pixonic want more new blood into this wonderful game but fail to keep them to continue to come back to play. Then what is the point of this friend inviting system?

What josh said. I'm too involved in the game and was promoted too quickly. It's a great way to build frustration. I keep getting smashed and it's no longer fun.

Sooo...if the newly invited stay solo, they're too strong. If they squad with the player who invited them they're too weak. So it's bad in both ways. This really looks like modification done in a haste.
