Trying to figure out the most efficient use of upgrade time. Since I've had the most success with Leo, I've been spending most of my upgrades on it and its weapons. The plan was to get him and his weapons up to level 8 or 9, and then get to work on my other two most frequently used bots. But once you hit level 6, upgrades start taking ridiculously long (and longer and longer). Eventually it will even out -- I think -- and it also leaves me the option to change my mind on which other bots I might decide to use without using up upgrade time and silver on my current stable. But now I'm wondering if I'd be better served to bring them all up more evenly. Again, keep in mind that I'm only a couple of weeks into this with squat for purchase and upgrade resources other than the 10 mil or so in silver I'm able to keep stockpiled. Any thoughts/suggestions?

yup, take your time. If you think level 8 upgrade wait times are long. just wait till you go from 11 to 12. its about a week in most cases. I would work on leveling up weapons first, they are what gets you the silver. a stock Leo has as much hit points as some bots do maxed. I suggest leveling "brawler" weapons like Orks and Tarans first, Bots come and go but medium close range weapons are a constant.

I'll second GuitarGuy: Level your close range knife fighters first, even if you're keeping everything even. You want the ability to stop a spawn raid / ancilot raid and you can only do that if you're knife-fighters can take them out (it doesn't matter if you die in the process, just that they aren't blowing away your fellow teammates/mid-rangers etc.).
To his list I'd add thunders and piñatas also. Anything that does high dpm in close burst mode.

A leo is not an end game bot. Don't level it much more than stock.
There are a lot of silver weapons and one bot that you can get early on that will last you through to the end game.
Griffin
Pinata x 2 Pin x 2 Tulumbas x 2 Thunders x 2
WSP: Tarans x 2
Carnage x 1

Griffins have been in the meta FOREVER. Can't go wrong. I am running 9/9 on iOS expert with 5 slots. Three are griffs. A rdb, pdb, and db. I also have a set of punishers and molots for them. Very versatile bot with many different load outs. Leo is a good brick fighter until you can get something better. Try to upgrade weapons one lvl, then the bot. Thunders rule at close range, and coming up the ranks a thunder magnum Leo, thunder piñata Leo, or thunder punisher Leo will serve you well. Lots of love for the mighty thunder Leo. With thunder pinat version, hit anciles with the thunder till gone then light them up with rockets. Thunder punisher is point and click ? Good luck and good hunting!

Too damn many options, nowhere near enough time, gold or silver. I dumped all my gold for WP thinking I was gonna get a Trebuchet for the Naty, then changed my mind and got a Taran for Griff #2. That needs to be leveled bad. Also took the Mag off Leo just to get a sense of how it will work with the Taran. Gonna take a long time to acquire and level them all up, but I'm gunning now for a Taran+Magnum Griffin, which I've seen first hand is a very potent combo. I still need something for long range, so I might just stick with Kang Dae/Molots on Naty for now. Too many combinations, and I just can't make up my mind and settle on an upgrade path to stick with. All I need is something as fast as a Rog with the fire power and durability of a Leo, with built-in ancilot. That's not asking too much, us it? Oh, and I want it now.

Nashhorn is better in every appreciable way than Kang dae.

Also, hanging around for 20 odd seconds for the reload is not my idea of fun.

I thought I had calculated it the other way around. Or maybe I just never did that comparison. Oops. Well that was a waste of silver.

Well, I broke down and bought 1200 gold, swapped it for WP (what the bleep is up with that decreasing exchange rate???!!!!!!) and grabbed another Mag for Griff #2. Still about 4k shy of the second Taran, but at least I can level up the Mags now until then. The Griff is already pretty decent now with one Taran, one Tulu to fill the slot, and 1/6 Mags. Can't wait to get that whole package up to 8 or 9. Meanwhile, I'm getting much better at picking out when and when not to go charging into the mayhem. So it's definitely a good idea to amass and upgrade weapons before bots while I get better at tactics and strategies for the different maps (though I still hate Yamantau and probably always will).
So, does WP accumulation ever pick up, or is it always and forever 85 every four hours?

Even just getting the freebie each day it accumulates. Currently have 6 taran, 7 mag, 4 treb, 3 tridents, 3 hydra, rhino, 2 carnage, 2 stalkers. Don't really need any more.

The WSP exchange rate taking a nose dive is to ensure the Veruca Salts get wiped out, and then end up needing more gold. If they had just waited till the next day, they's have found that the Gold->WSP conversion rate resets. It's a subtle money maker, aimed at exactly the right target audience.
Also, barring bonuses from a workshop that is not yet maxed, it's always 85:4hr 40free:day.

The criteria I decided which to upgrade 1. When the upgrade finish, I have time to upgrade another items. (Not going to upgrade something I was busy or sleeping when it finished) 2. Upgrade weapons 1-2 level above bots, if criteria 1 meet. 3. Upgrade the weapons and bots I use the most first.
