Is there some bonus for shooting your own team? 2 of the last 3 mag gep clubbers I've seen have done it.
The first one lit my Cossack up from behind. I saw the sparks and my damage bar, didn't see any red behind me. (just out of initial drop spawn.) I turned to look and he ran past me and capped the beacon I'd been going for.
The second guy started spraying all of us as soon as he landed, then ran over and grabbed a beacon and back past us, spraying every step of the way like his trigger was taped down.
Seriously, 「whiskey tango foxtrot」?

As has been posted elsewhere, sometime players will indicate by shooting where they are going (i.e., shoot at the beacon they will cap and anyone in the way) or where they would like you to go.
Otherwise, they are just spraying plasma because they can....just like others who pop their pins/tarans, etc right after spawning. The mag guys just don't have to reload.
Cheers!

Thanks. Well, next time it happens I'll be returning the favor.

They want you to stop. The fewer reds you shoot and the fewer beacons you take, the easier for them to get ten gold.
But I just shoot them and quit out. I don't want to fight alongside em, and maybe their team has a slightly worse chance of winning being a bot down.

Or they're just playing on a PC. When I switch from mouse mode to aim mode all my guns fire, hence the pin/pinata unloading.

They are just "love taps" and saying happy Holidays, bc nothing says seasons greetings like a load of piñata fireworks ? into your back.

On iPad I notice that even touching the screen on the right side nowhere near the fire or weapon buttons and it will often fire. For people that fire randomly it's often just trying to move their view around. For people that shoot actually at you... well in most cases I assume they are fools that will be unlikely to help our team in battle.

Especially if I use the 'fire all' button. I have to wait a second or two before I can look around without firing.

There is about a second delay after you release the fire button where if your press anywhere near it you'll start firing again. I wasted a lot of ammo before I finally figured that out...

Frustrating - I just want to look around - if I wanted to fire I'd hit the silly button. Seems like a bug to me.

Since I can't reliably know what someone is trying to tell me when they shoot me, I expend zero energy in contemplating it and just go about the grim work at hand.

And no the sensitivity is not a better option, as it will totally throw you off trying to make fine movements if your sensitivity is too high. There have been times where it has screwed me over, but it's generally more useful than not in most situations once you get used to it.
