Backing the game's kickstarter gets you access to the closed beta in Steam. battletechgame.com/There is a burst of YouTube videos out showing the gameplay and this is one of them. I am personally already got access to the beta, and yes, this thing is far from finished but it feels like it has great potential. Especially recommended if you are a fan of turn based tactical games like X-Com or Front Mission, a fan of the MechCommander games, and of course, and not the least, the table top Battletech games. |

Skirmish mode, which they demoed at some Con, is available. There is a big far from finished disclaimer, but a very easy way to quickly kill an evening. I love how the same pilot in the hands of the AI can hit you with everything but that same pilot can't hit the broad side of a barn for you. And this is having them shoot at each other!

The Battletech game appears to be using the Unity engine like War Robots.
