If I have a liberation/capture task, I sometimes let a low health/light take the beacon after which I liberate it. Sometimes I just liberate, get just a lil' bit out of range if I see a low health red trying to capture it, I let them capture so I can kill and get 2 liberations and 1 Capture from same beacon.

I used to purposely try to push long range blue bots (Trebs and such) off of ledges or into crappy firing postions. Got to the point where I actually wasn't even playing the game, just going about my own personal vendetta against long range bots. Got it out of my system though, and the only time I care anymore, is when I see really crappy setups, like the zenit ancile raijin on yamantau a few nights ago. Really wished I could TK that guy.

I'd sometimes shoot reds enough that their weapons pop off but not kill them then I'd turn my back on them. I told myself there was a pragmatic reason behind this but I suspect I'm just kind of unpleasant sometimes.

Sometimes, when I'm getting my bot blown to pieces, I select a new bot just before I die. Out of sheer spite.

Few things.. I will mech out just before I die to rob the other person of the kill.... And #2 I will take my DOC and load him with lvl5 Hydras, sit some place and shoot that 「dookie」 all over the place and do no harm, but annoy everyone in the game.. You know its annoying when you are being hunted by both teams.. lol

1) When i'm in a duo squad, sometime i block actively allies from reachin a beacon to give time to my squad mate to reach the beacon too, then i "release" the ally 2) like Why? if i see an easy way to gain a +1 beacon, i let an enemy decap and then i kill it just after he decapped. yeah. he doesn't even get a +1 cap himself if i can 3) If i see an allied Leo (or some other cumbersome heavy) next to me, i use him as a shield with my Galahad to not get damage on my shield (mostly because if i let him stay behind me, i'm 100% dead as he will block my dodges) 4) If the battle is about to end in a win, if i can, i move in a way to shield the last enemy from receiving allied shots, so that i can eat his juicy hp off by myself

First time I cussed audibly and loudly at somebody playing this game. I confess, it was probably payback for the few times I've also pushed long-range ally snipers off a wall for no other reason than I was pissed for having just been killed.

I don't help teammate Brit bots.... If one is fighting two bots I will turn and go help a Leo capture a different point....

Shoot the weapons off the last Natasha in red, then everyone on my squad would run over and dry hump him and pose for screenshot pics.. I am sure we traumatized a few noobs back then...I am sure now this action alone brought about much hate of gepard clans.

It was quite funny at the time. And not everyone hated Gep Clans. Only those who faced them unprepared. For what its worth, Everyone of those guys in this picture back then is now Champion League, many are in LA clan, BMF, CDXX,HEAT and VICE. They didnt give up on the game when the meta changed, They pushed on, learned better skills and leveled up their hangars and are now playing at top tier. Just goes to show not all Gep pilots had no skills.

</div>What you're telling me is that they had skills, so they could easily play normal, but they sealclubbed because they...liked beating up newbies?

Ok, I know this is hard for some to believe but, Most of the Silver tier clans (not all) did NOT just go after noobs. I can post dozens of full 6v6 clan battles that we would seek each other out for games. And when you say "play normal" you mean purchase heavy low level bots with low level weapons and try and be competitive? No. Many of us learned early on that fast light bots with high level weapons makes for a very exciting game. I am not denying that we did have run ins with unprepared players, many the same level as us, so calling them "noobs" isnt accurate. The skills and teamwork we learned fighting in squads, using coms, running long range to cover each other etc are what made us into better pilots.
The thread is about things we did in the past that were crappy things we used to do. It wasnt about bringing up past butt hurt. Its a game, some people find it "fun" to run a stalker and get in between the legs of a Blue Team Fury just to lock him up, Not my thing but it happens. Just like what we did happened.

For me, I like to leave snipers and campers with just a fraction of their health left and run off. It may seem like an 「bum-bum」 thing to do, but there's something strategic about that. Campers usually will not hop into another bot until they are dead so leaving them near dead will force them to snipe with one or two weapons and they'd be harming their team too.

-Hit people with 4 full tulumbas salvos from a doc at 510M.
-Jump into a Plasma Fujin' s bubble with a DB Griffin after counting how many times they fired.
- Shooting people on the second level of moon map's center beacon through the floor below.
-lead reds to my spawn and kill them immediately after I die/get help as soon as someone else does.
-Firing Tulus every two seconds on my Doc to see if whatever I'm shooting at gets ballsy, then unload 4 full Tulus at them when they abandon cover.

I have a habit of being exceptionally annoying when using my Stalker. I can often bother or otherwise distract two or three opposing players at a time, allowing my allies to blast them or take beacons.

Purposely not cap a beacon toward the end of a battle we're probably going to win; I call it "sandbagging" (there's probably a better term) and it allows me to get a little extra damage. I've never quantified if it's worth it but it feels a little douchey.

Repair costs have never been on my radar, are they that significant? I never even look at the number in the summary.

I was playing on power plant the other day and nobody went to capture the ship beacon. I run all Brawler's, nothing faster than a Galahad. So, there I am in my DB Griffin, trudging along to the beacon, when the stalker that was going to the one immediately inland changed direction and jumped off the ledge behind me, to run past me and capture the beacon that I'd been heading to, a second before I could get there to share the capture.
The stalker turned and shot at me twice and ran on his merry way to capture more beacons. I left the game. Good luck getting that 5Au reward with a 5vs6.
Cruel move to the four other players, but that damn stalker just got me so mad!

Gold bots and heavy bots cost significantly more than Ag bots and medium bots, and they're scaled to bot HP, meaning higher level= more costs. A full Au heavy hangar can cut someone's match Ag by upwards of 100k.
