With my current hangar - what I suppose fits to "trash gold" tier - I get matched against level 8/10 bots to 10/8 and sometimes even maxed hangars. What I have learned that this fluctuation is very common when playing in random teams, but is it possible to somehow reduce that fluctuation by balancing my hangar (picture below) ? Or do I have to join clan to get better matched battles ? Joining to clan is my next step because I'm going to be get bored with randoms... Anyway - I do only have one 5 bot hangar and still seeking for optimal setups. I have been alternating Patton and Golem with Carnage (L5), Leo (L7) and Boa (L6). Carnage with Tridents (8/6) and Leo also with Trident (8) and Pins (8). Boa goes with Thunder (8) and Taran (8). My original plan was to upgrade weapons to level 9 or 10 and after that bots to level 8. Now I have been thinking to buy Galahad and replace Patton and Golem with it and Carnage (and continue upgrades). Does WSP (or gold) bot penalty matter anymore in this tier or can I upgrade it more without getting bumped upper in tiers ? My winrate and damage averages has been getting lower in last weeks; victories were about 64% and damage average about 435k. I appreciate comments and advices from you fellows !  |

For now I don't have much gold, only 470. Amount of wsp is about 4300 and Ag 6 mil. I did some speedups with Au during weapons upgrades to 8, but now has been saving it.

use the mid range Leo. Three of the CRV's from the patton and a Trident. That does give you two mid rangers though. (Not generally the done thing).
Another option with the new meta. Use the Golem weapons and silver to make a punisher griffin. I know it's a bit of a mish mash, but a taren/magnum/punisher/punisher T Griffin would not be underpowered.
The Taren / Magnum is 2/3rds the way to a PDB Galahad. I would make that your longer term goal.
The Carnage needs a bit more leveling before it's viable. But high level thunders rushed up close are a wonderful thing.

Saving up for a Galahad looks to be a pretty good choice for now. You can just reuse the weapons on the golem for that, and a second magnum shouldn't cost much, and a the plasma galahad is one of the most useful bots in the meta right now.
Also, the MM penalty for WSP and Au bots doesn't matter much anymore in trash gold, and I have not seen any difference in MM whether I run them or not, so if you can afford to use them, do it.

I haven't really done consistent testing myself. All I know is that bullets are deadly now. |

Punishers have too much spread at 350m to be effective, molots probably would be better

(Not generally the done thing) Yes, I have been used it very often and I somehow liked that setup. It is bit slow but good midrange support with high HP. My playstyle is more to midrange as now but let's see is it going to change someday. Curry Pot : Actually I already have weapons for plasma Galahad: level 8 magnums and tarans. It looks like I'm going to save Au more and buy Galahad and replace Golem with it. OK, good to hear - now I can polish my Carnage and bring it to battlefield! I can setup it with Thunders (level 8 both) or with those Tridents mentioned above. edit: thanks so far for advice to everyone - I knew it I can trust to you and get advices ! More comments etc are still appreciated. |

Think your 7/8.5 plasma griff is bumping you to low gold more often - solid 7/9 would be benchmark for low gold, and MM looks at your max bot only. So... welcome to low gold world?! LOL Since you've passed the L7 mark for bots already, suggest you focus on getting weaps to 9 asap Stop spending ag on your golem and patton For immediate remedy - replace golem w boa thunder/taran. Considering the larger HP, probably will get more out of him than G. But don't spend any more ag on boa either I echo moody on using leo for midranger instead of pat for time being. Not ideal to have 2 mid range in your hanger, but seems you'll have to do until you can bring in a better platform... ...having said that: highly recommend you get some 'next level' bots. As others suggested, gala is hands down best bang for buck and you really meed shieldbot in gold tier. If not enough au, consider saving WSP to get a rhino My two cents |

I have premium left for two weeks now so have to play harder to get more Ag for upgrades (running little low Ag now).
