I'm concerned about the new crosshair for War Robots (concerned enough to create an account here). While the color change from green to blue doesn't really matter to me, the addition of the big blue diamond in the middle could make identifying a target's weapons and following a target more difficult because you end up seeing less of the target, especially at long range and on devices with smaller screens. It could become harder to track when a Bot changes direction or what direction it is facing, because body parts that allow you to recognize that change before it happens (like the legs swiveling) could be blocked by the blue diamond. Additionally, it will be harder to known when you've blown off weapons or what weapons a Bot has if they are blocked by the blue diamond.
See the video:
I much prefer the crosshair as it is now where I can visually see the target, so I can more easily assess the weapons it has and when it changes direction. I'd rather not have to look at the blue diamond, or worse, move the crosshair off a target to see it better.
Hopefully, some of you guys agree and Pixonic could give us crosshair choices built into the UI.

Eh, it doesn't really bother me. Perhaps increase its transparency a bit, so that it blends with the diamond a little better.

I agree, that blue diamond is unnessesary, but the concept of it is great and it allows us to precisely aim at the unshielded parts of the Lancelots and the uncovered parts of cornershooters. Maybe just changing it into a blue bolded dot would help.

Maybe just changing it into a blue bolded dot would help. Isn't a dot what BT is using? I think the dot also automatically comes to rest on a targetable part of the bot (i.e. from the videos I have watched the dot will move from leg to leg on the spider bot, rather than drift across the surface). Back to my point though, which is that if BT is using a dot then War Robots probably needs to do something different.

Back to my point though, which is that if BT is using a dot then War Robots probably needs to do something different. BT is using a combination of the lockbox and a white dot. The size of the lockbox for which your mech auto-aims is determined by enemy bot size, running your crosshair over a part of an enemy bot that you are locked in to targets that specific part of the bot, denoted by the white dot.

Overall I like the new UI but yes, that center diamond is too obscuring. They've said the UI is still in development so make sure to give them feedback on FB or the test server when it appears there.

Probably Pixonic created the new crosshair on their 27 inch monitor.

Hopefully they will give us options regarding the UI, as I like it as it currently is.

I didn't see an update to the crosshair on the test server. I wonder when we'll get to test it, or maybe the scrapped it?

Wondering if the edge framing is actually representative of the width of the lock on frame, unlike the current one?

Wait a second... They changed the HUD!? OMGWTFBBQ
Honestly, the new HUD looks terrible compared to the old one. Way too cramped for my liking.
