A couple good matches we played last week against a strong clan. Nice play from both sides.

It still surprises me how fast the silver heavies move in top now, lol.
Just a question, but was adrian playing seriously in that video or no? Since the anicle aphid leo and kwk fury seem a bit...wonky.

Excellent game; only Adrian can get away with running a pot head...

The Fury KwK was put in more because I was seeing a lot of Fury Tridents that night and the Pot Head Warrior was more of a counter to the increase in Aphids being used.

IMO it struggles in open maps and is very fragile if caught out in the open by a midranger/sniper, however near invincible to knife fighters on small maps with lots of cover. And a very good suppressive bot.

The KWK fury looked pretty effective too, I am considering the dark side and getting one but like you said everyone has a trident fury!

This was excellent. I've never really been into gameplay vids ("why watch someone else play when you can just play yourself?") but some of these I've come across here are superb- and informative- viewing.

It would do very well on maps like Dead City and Powerplant though. I actually use to prepare it over the Patton but this was before Plasma weapons were around.

I believe a team mate and I ran across a Pothead yesterday lol... It makes sense to me, played in an Anti-Aphid Patton role. Can eat a salvo... and if you are in range to absorb a salvo, you are in range to hit them... and they have no shield.

I've been considering levelling up a Fury Kwk after watching Adrian's vid on it. The longer range and reload time makes it a good counter against Trident snipers.

If their Ancile is only 5% charged up and you fire all of your Aphids at once, that 5% shield blocks all of your Aphids.

Yes... that is why shooting the aphids off sequentially instead of all at once is the only way I attack any Ancile bot... deplete... then delete. BTW... good to see ya on the forums! Both you and Pete! And I got a kick out of the 25k gold giveaway special... it was cool having so many YTs on with you. I can't catch the live streams usually but I try and watch the uploads of them that you post later... Really enjoyed that. Cheers for all you (and all the rest of the YTs) do for the War Robots community, I can't imagine the time involved... even just posting a vid or two a week... but am glad y'all decide to spend it with us. Just a question, but was adrian playing seriously in that video or no? Since the anicle aphid leo and kwk fury seem a bit...wonky. LOL. From my perspective... The KwK Fury was key to winning that game. When you're up against a top clan you'll often see five or more Fury, and they will eat you alive if you can't take them out. Running a sniper hurts your individual damage overall, but notice how we rolled up three or four of their range bots that were set up surrounding center shortly after he dropped it. Not just from his fire but because they need to maneuver to avoid his fire. The "best" sniper for clan battles is either the Treb (if they are running carnage) or KwK Fury- the latter does higher DPM but can't punch through shields. So yes, the KwK Fury is IMHO exactly the type of bot you want one or two (max) guys to be running when you're looking for clans- so dead serious. As for the Pot Head Warrior... personally I prefer the Thunder Aphid Leo as it's more versatile, but the Ancile is probably stronger when dropped first (on the ramp and/ or facing lots of aphids/ rockets). Helps win that first meeting engagement at center which is also key to winning the game. So while it doesn't make it into my top 5 bot list for clan battle it would make into my top 20. Semi-serious, in IMHO.

I agree with the Kwk Fury being useful as a counter to trident Furies. I think this is where there will some in depth discussion into the differences between how you equip yourselves when soloing vs when you squad with coordinated team mates.
And how you might need to sacrifice dmg for the sake of supporting the team more effectively either through positional play or concentrated fire on specific enemies and threats.
As well as the importance of comms, which I wish I could use more if not for sleeping children and frowning wife.

Maybe he was trying new setups. He has used that Triple KwK setup for a long time though, many of hid vids feature it. By the look of his vids it seems pretty effective on taking out enemies' mid range bots, KwK have a better DPM than other sniper weapons (up to 2/3 of Trident's DPM @@) so it is quite legit to me. That Ancile Aphid Leo.. maybe he was looking for an anti Hydra/Spiral option that can launch Aphids???
