So what are you guys using to record? I've tried the GooglePlay built in recorder and Mobizen on my phone but both cut off the right side of my screen, unsure why. And neither seem to only record application sound, it's either no sound or game sound combined with hearing the sound again coming through your mic, ect. Or maybe I've just overlooked a setting on my quick run through with each app.
I did a quick upload of two matches, the first match is using Mobi, the second is using GooglePlay.
*Side Note, first match: after my griffin dies. THATS, how I use my Tasha... hiding on hills. Pfft, I'm capping!*

I've been using AZ Screen Recorder. The audio is recorded through the microphone and picks up my all kinds of background noise. That really bothers me. I'd be interested to hear what others are using.

Thats the issue I'm having as well. I'm not trying to hear my own farts and sniffles in recordings.

That's a known limitation of Android phones. Google is being bugged online about adding an API interface to allow recording of internal audio. IIRC they are balking over privacy concerns or some such.
Mobizen has some fancy earpiece thing for sale that's supposedly a physical work-around. I'm not that much of a youtuber yet o.0
[edit] I vaguely recall reading somewhere about something on using an Android emulator on a PC for recording can capture internal audio with or without microphone. [/]

Yup, I use memu and bandicam. Been looking for a free game recorder as well and open broadcaster software seems good. Also want to see if I can get shadow play since I have nvidia. beebom.com/best-game-recording-software/

I use shadowplay for all my PC gaming, but that don't help me on my droid. I'm not trying to go any emulator route. Last time I tried an emulator for a droid game they banned my account saying using third party programs is a breach of contract and considered cheating. Game sucked anyways...

Pix said that while they don't officially support emulators, they are fine with people using them.

Is there one for iOS that's free? I wanted to make my videos to get that bonus in the test server feedback

iOS is a closed OS so only apple can edit it. This means that making an emulator of it is impossible.
If you want, you could try shou tv or use reflector if you have a pc or mac.

iOS used to have airshou, but it doesn't work with the latest iOS version. The alternative is called Vidyo. I tried it and it works, but it records horizontally so you need to rotate it with some video editor.

I still can't figure out why both tried app's are cutting off a quarter of my screen. Maybe I need to see if I can lower the resolution on my phone. :/

Eh Happybobross, ure a youtuber? If so, PM me a link to your channel pls? Might be my one and only subscription - I really like your kind of humour I dabble here and there. I used to have a boatload of video's ranging from minecraft, mw2, planetside2, and bf3/4. However, I get super lazy after working and the last thing I want to do is try my hand at editing all night once home so my channel is scarce atm. Lost my old channel but this is my new one. If I ever stop procrastinating, I have 3 1tb drives filled with unedited gameplay footage. www.youtube.com/user/burkjoshua

I use GameTools on my S7 to record my gameplay But because GT relies on the phone's volume to determine how loud to output audio, I sometimes have to port over the recording to my mac, then use iMovie to raise the audio

It's looks to me like some kind of overlay function that's preventing or over-writing the screen memory information/API that's used by screen capturing programs. It also seems to be on the same side that your OS soft-keys will pop in from, which gives me a hunch that it's something related. Do you notice the same bar when you take a screen shot? (On Android it's typically power+vol down if you didn't know).
I have no idea otherwise, sorry. Never seen anything like that before.

However the same doesn't happen with screens. You may be on to something though. It is on the same side as my soft-keys. However, that is out of my knowledge of expertise as to why since the softkeys arent even part of the screen.

Check for and disable or uninstall any apps that might have a similar function. Custom keyboards apps, translators, etc. Anything that can pop up an on-screen keyboard display. Especially 'free' apps, it feels like something isn't coded properly.
Depending on your phone and OS version, you may be able to boot your phone in a "safe mode" which will load only the apps that came with the phone. If it still happens at that point... worse case is factory reset, worst case is replace hardware.
