Tankus moronus, better known as tanker, is an invasive, parassitic pest that is surprisingly capable of playing human games (and sometimes able to pass itself as a human). Characteristically, however, the pest plays to lose in order to tank (hence the name) its tier-related score. This behaviour then allows the tanker to feed, showing its parasitic behaviour, on players with hangars much weaker than their own.
This specie of gonadless, asexuated (in fact, probably hermaphrodites, hence the often repeated invitations they receive to go have intercourse with themselves) invertebrates is divided in different races, most notably:
- leavers: worms that wait 31 seconds after the game start before leaving without dropping a bot
- smurfers: anellides who field a hangar of (often disarmed) light bots. They might grab a beacon or two, if armed even do some damage, but generally they are out of the game by the second minute
-faders: probably the worst of the tapeworms, they run normal hangar, play the first bot normally -giving the other teammates the impression that everything is fine- then never drop the second bot
- "ethical" tankers: invertebrates notable for possessing half a brain. A sub-class of leavers, they roam in packs of 3 to 6, having somehow convinced that half brain they have they "give gold for free" to the other team by never entering the game. The half of the brain that should make them realize that doesn't change the clubbing part of the equation on the way up is, as said, gone, possibly due some virus acquired by eating feces (which would explain why they are so full of it).
Other subspecies are being studied as we speak and I invite fellow researchers to share their findings.

Lobbers: People who only play missile based MR bots like Spydra or Hydra Fuujin to 1. Stay out of range=less repair cost 2. Do less damage so Blues have less chance. 3. No one calls them tankers because technically, they fought.

Show off tankers A type of players who despite their apparent abundance of resources intentionally fill their hangars with useless bot setups to tank. This rare species is found in its territory called the LQ

The negativity brought upon by the tankus moronus have now reached to the point that some forum members are evolving to a type of new species found only in the jungles of the War Robots region;the Rantus Racistious

Did I forget to mention that the Tankus Moronus exhibits also a notable lack of sense of humor, substituted by an as massive as unjustified ego and sense of self-importance?
It's ok, tomorrow I'll update the OP with the findings of the other researchers and I'll remember to add that trait.
(Oh, and tankers aren't a race, they are a species, and I'm not particularly against one or the other of its race, I despise them all so, at most, I can be Mistankeronic, not racist)

Now give me more hate Researcher, probably There is another one one not yet mentioned. Daltonic fader The most active and aggressive of the species but also the most pitiful. They suffer from a rare form of color vision deficiency that makes them interchange red and blue color. It's unknown (but highly likely), whether some kind of psychosis developed from the constant feeling of misplacement. There are many other contributing factors. When desperately trying to help his teammates, whom a member of this species perceive to be on the other side of the map, he may feel invincible (as his enemies don't seem to be able to inflict any damage when they choose to shoot) when blocking enemy fire. On the other hand, he's unable to inflict any damage on them and they tend to ignore him, which may create a sense of insignificance and futility. Daltonic fader usually fades after a while, but he may last surprisingly long and even wake up from his slumber when his team seems to be losing.

I have no respect for such lack of etiquette. lol, I doubt many of them are at all concerned with your lack of respect for them I doubt tankers respect themselves - thats why it's okay for them to tank. After all, respect for others begins with inner respect. Y'know the saying, "do unto others.......", well I guess I'd have to feel sorry for tankers since others have obviously screwed them quite a lot.

I believe that people who compartmentalize their ethical decisions do so to rationalize the bad ones. and I draw zero conclusions of anyone's ethical code based on the way they choose to play a mobile app. You're entitled to flawed judgment, I have no objection to that. In RealityLand, however, it doesn't actually mean anything that it's a "mobile app." You're a Warcraft player. You do a raid, takes you five hours. You bust your ?bum-bum?, get to the final boss. Lo, the epic, it's for your class! You're the only one who can use it. But the Rogue rolls Need and departs the group with a "lulz" in group chat. In lilryry -land, clearly that's just a game. You have no right to think less of the Rogue, he's probably a stand-up guy who goes to church every Sunday and brakes for squirrels. Really, the same goes for anything in life. It's how we treat one another. Be it in a game, in a chat room, on the freeway, or in line at the grocery. People like this gentlemen here like to try and "break things down" because it lets them rationalize being a scumbag in one (or more) aspects of their life at a comfortable distance. "This? It's just a game. Don't worry, baby, I'm really a good person once you get to know me." Somehow, I doubt that.

Somehow, I doubt that. my judgement is perfectly fine my friend, I fail to see how my being in LQ is unethical when a large percentage of my opponents are my same gear level if not higher. Furthermore I havkt left any matches since the event stopped to see how long it would take to get back to regular q as I would like to go back to it. Judge all you want but bottom line is I was able to progress in the anniversary event far enough being in LQ that it saved me a ton of gold having to buy weapons and that's real $$$ so frankly I don't really care what the moral police around here think of it. I take advantage of opportunities as they present themselves and ask yourself this, if noobs are in LQ isn't that because they were leaving or tanking? If you're so against those acts then why are you so concerned with people preying on them? Shouldn't you be happy they're "getting what they deserve"? Or is it immoral for someone in champion league to kill me while I'm in gold if the mm pairs us together? Where does your judgement end? Or what if you're matched against someone in a lower league? Do you not shoot them because then you're no better than me? Guess I may need some clarification as to what exactly is acceptable behavior in your world

To me, this is how they really will treat you once they've dehumanized you (made you just a number, etc) into the "them" category. Anyone in the "them" category can be treated without regard, cause they are no different from people you encounter in something like ....... a mobile app.
