Every weekend the test server will be up for a while, then it will down for maintenance for hours, then come back. What is going on during that time? Are they actively tweaking it all weekend? Not complaining, just curious. Surely the servers themselves don't actually need maintenance. I assume that's just an easy message to display.
I would have thought they'd leave it up all weekend and let people play and collect data at the end and then analyze it all. But I wonder if instead they let people play for a while, analyze the data, make some kind of tweak, and then put it back up and let us back in.
If so, what are they doing in there each time? Are they fixing faulty run-of-the-mill code? Are they rejiggering weapons or bots or adjusting environments? Something else?
I can guess and speculate as much as anyone, but do any of you know the actual for-sure answer here?

That's when the folks at Pixonic go digging through this forum, desperately searching for suggestions on how to fix the matchmaker.
They painstakingly read every word of every complaint and then move on to deep meditative contemplation on the subject.
Afterwards they go out for drinks and make hilariously insulting jokes about hypersensitive American crybabies.
