I have a level 6 punisher T and a tumula for it. Yet to unlock a special weapon, but it sounds like a taran is a good choice. I love corner shooting in it, it's awesome when a big medium is gunning for me and I can corner shoot and wreck him. Also, Schutze Thunder... never a Zeus? Thoughts? I've read it's pretty decent, but also that the Zeus has a glitch where not every hit registers. It's on my list, but not sure if it's worth throwingAu at when I am trying to get my 5th hangar slot

Ok I've made progress... where is this putting me in mm? I'm seeing a lot of medium bots... Looks close to what I'm running, and I'm in Bronze somewhere. I do feel that having two Geps bumped me up, I even started seeing Yamanatu; I've been where I want to be by dialing back to one. Which doesn't really make sense to me, because you hear of CLubbers raiding bronze with 1/12 MagGep hangars, and...they're still in Bronze.

Rest assured that that is still bronze, the mediums and the odd heavies you verse are VERY poorly armed, so you'll have no trouble.

Thanks for the info guys.
I'm looking forward to this update for iOS with the buff to the slug throwers for my Cossack. I have 1 Magnum in inventory up to level 5. I'm now messing with Aphids on the second Gep and I really like them. Working on buying 2 more Aphids for the second Gep. I love the play style of running beacons, unloading guided missiles and then hiding behind hard cover.
The only time I really get smoked is good level 30 players clubbing. Sometimes with 5x Geps, but sometimes with a more mixed hangar and maybe 2 Geps - one tri mag one tri Aphid.
I am going to muck around with something medium range - I think I'll level up some Molots for this update and test them out.
The real question is - what's my next step? Probably wait for the update to drop on iOS and see how things sort out.

The Cossack is jump capable - so it is significantly faster to cap than the Gepard. Beware homing missile users at range - especially when you jump. Learn the maps and use your jump ability to shortcut, hide, and escape. I want to play around with different weapons on it - a homing missile would be interesting if you can jump - fire - then drop behind cover while your missiles hammer enemies that thought they were safe behind cover. The other cool thing about the Cossack is that it's weapon sticks out to the left of the bot - so you can work a corner and hide most of your Cossack while still putting rounds into the enemy. It's also fast enough to avoid many of the bullets from slug throwers if you work at it. The Gepard will get you more damage and kills - but I've been starting matches with the Cossack to get a jump on the capture race. Wait a bit before you spawn in - if you see a couple of other Cossacks drop in, pick your Gep. If you don't think there are a couple of competent cappers on your team - it's up to you. Well in Bronze it's probably up to you anyway. I like capping a couple of beacons early and then hitting the enemy on a flank or near their spawn as a suicide run to grab a quick beacon or at least have them focus on me to kill me, pulling them away from the middle. If they don't bite I'll cap their home beacon and then eject and get into my Gep. This was good guidance. I nicked a Cossack last night and stuck an Orkan on it. Definitely a way different style of play for me, and not a lot of damage output, but I see some potential enjoyment there and have been working it into the rotation. Especially nifty trick about waiting to see what else spawns before choosing. Jumpng let me get on the roofs of some places, which was also pretty useful a couple of times. "If you don't think there are a couple of competent cappers on your team - it's up to you. Well in Bronze it's probably up to you anyway." I laughed pretty hard on that. Having an Orkan Cossack in bronze is a good place to be, you can chill out by jumping away to reload your Orkan or just keep circling and pound missles into them to finish them off... I've been seeing myself occasionally put in an Orkan Cossack when playing solo, because even in silver most players have beaconitis, lol. Cheers and good luck!!!

I love corner shooting in it, it's awesome when a big medium is gunning for me and I can corner shoot and wreck him. Also, Schutze Thunder... never a Zeus? Thoughts? Had a little Life Victory to celebrate today, so I treated myself to $20 Au and bought the Zeus for the Schutze. Holy. Crap. The Thunder is super effective for knifing. Indeed, Schutze Thunders are about the only thing I worry about when running the MagGep. But I've found that while I can get in pretty good with the Schutze, the reload time and slower speed mean that my Schutze usually doesn't last all that long- though he does swing the sledge while he's there. So I've played three matches with my shiny, new Zeus Schutze, and my wife wondered what I was doing at the dinner table, sipping a beer and giggling like a madman. The damage it does as a L5 is decent, but I love the range- and the silence. Damn thing hardly makes any noise, which is a welcome bit of stealth after the THUMPTHUMPTHUMP of trip-Mags on the Gep. I couldn't be happier with it, now that I don't have to chase folks down but can hit at range. Makes the Schutze much more of an opportunist. Before, Schutze was my go-to after my Cossack and Gep bit it. I ran it ahead of the Gep tonight in Power_Plant- it's that much fun.

Just played 5 games before bed. All of them Springfield, WTAF?
BUT... it gave me huge opportunity to continue testing the "electric ostrich," and in the wide-open spaces of that map, taking the Schutze over the MagGep felt like the correct play in all but one occasion (that one, the spawns were in the city section, and the enemy had started pushing for our beacon and spawn area, so dropping a MagGep to roll them back was the right line of play).
I can't rave enough about how much fun it is to smite the 「illegitimate child」s at 500m, after an (admittedly brief) career of knife-fighting. The Zeus Schutze was a huge improvement in force projection over the Thunder Zeus. So many times I was able to start picking off or getting the attention of enemies across the divide, it was dominating. Electric Ostrich gets my full recommendation, @lephty.

I'm splitting my $ between War Robots and @wotblitz so I'm going to grind a bit to get it. I've got only 1 mag right now and after trying one Aphid and 2 Spiral on a second Gep I think I'm in love. Looks like my next two are Orkan for the Cossack and now you've added a Zeus for ye old Schutze. Glad you tried it out - a Schutze with a lock-on weapon, good burst damage, and medium range is pretty sweet. Reading some other threads I've seen people talking about the Hydra being pretty good. I'm loving guided missiles right now, but I guess the Zeus is basically guided right?

lephturn No, you can still miss if you're not careful, and it doesn't arc above obstacles so you need a clear line of sight. But I had little difficulty connecting with it. It's also not something you see every day in that Tier, so I could tell it definitely got some attention with that big, beautiful bolt.

I literally just finished a match 15 minutes ago where I got ambushed by a MagGep while IN a MagGep. He had a healthy life lead on me so figured I was just gonna drag it out (was a beacon run), but managed to kill him by running in a tight circle around him. Like, as close as you can get without being on top of him. Be both slugged it out at point-blank range, but I guess I've just had more practice.

Ok I dropped a few bucks and got 2 more aphids. O.M.G. I'm in luv. Getting used to the arc of them, when they will hit and when they miss. Fast moving bots don't take much damage. Imtime a barrage somit hits when a Cossack lands after a jump. Can shoot over obstacles and hits like a hammer.
I must confess I have not run my Cossack since. Open with Aphid gep, close with piñata gep if I even need to. I've had a 10 kill game in the Aphid Gepard.
I think guided weapons is my jam.
Saving up for a Taran for my Cossack but I'm tempted to run a 4x gep hangar with Aphid, Mag, Piñata and another Aphid.

I think I'll keep a Cossack around to have a fast runner - so far 2 Geps is plenty. Cossack will be better with a Taran on it, and I'm going to have to try a Zues Schutze at some point!

Talking about angering the MM Gods, my last match I had these guys as teammates: This was my hangar (and pretty much everyone elses): Not sure what cardinal sin they'd commited, but I hope that makes you feel a little better. Oh, yeah, we lost, in case you were wondering...
