We've all played hundreds of games, and can't hardly remember the details of any of them. However, some stand out in your memory. I participated in one of those yesterday.
Spawned in Yam. Just for fun I dropped a TT Fury instead of my usual Galahad. Both teams were well disciplined, traveling in pairs & trios along the bridges and the center ramp, making for massive firefights around center beacon. I paced along the hill where I could feast on the red meat being fed into the grinder. Any red that made it to center got chewed up with Trident splash. Time and again I'd reduce a red's health by half and my blue buddies would finish them off. For some reason the reds never charged me, and I was able to rack up a personal best 850k damage with just my 8/8 Fury.
Center changed hands several times, and the beacon bar remained close throughout. In what turned out to be the crucial move, a red Stalker made a wide flanking run to our left beacon. I saw a blue heading to cut him off, so I stayed in the middle of the fight (a slow-arse Fury is not a good counter to a Stalker). However, the blue must have been low on health and died, letting the Stalker take our beacon. That gave red a small lead on the beacon bar. By the time a second blue arrived to finish off the interloper, our fate was sealed.
We still almost prevailed. We re-took center for the last time near the 9 minute mark, giving us a 3-2 beacon edge. Red still had a slight lead on beacon bar, but I thought we had enough time to overcome that lead. Even better, we managed to kill off the last two red bots with 15 seconds left on the counter. There were still 4 blues on the field, and I thought we had the game in the bag (after all, if the other team bots out, you get the win after ten seconds, right?). Wrong. We lost by the smallest of margins on beacon bar, even though we had a 4-0 lead on bots and 3-2 lead on beacons at the end.
Ultimately, the red Stalker pilot who flanked us only scored about 100k damage, made a single kill, & captured only one beacon, but he was the difference between winning and losing the game. Props to that guy.

Majority of the battles I've played have been memorable and evenly matched/fair. Usually boils down to which team is more cohesive and patient. I've lost battles on teams where we captured "enough" beacons to win but all of our bots were destroyed too soon because after capturing beacons we foolishly went on the attack instead of waiting it out a couple more minutes.

Props to that guy. I bet that match was also one of the most epic War Robots match the Stalker's pilot had. I'd like to commend you for giving us a descriptive narration of that match. I can visualize how intense the battle was as I read your post. Btw, Is there any chance you had took a screenshot of that match? I'm curious of how Pixonic rewards Heroes of the Battlefield just like what the Stalker did. I believe that the Stalker's action was rewarded with gold despite the fact that its pilot only managed to score 100k in damage.

I love a tight assed battle. Down to the wire efforts and last second conversions get my adrenaline going.

I've lost battles on teams where we captured "enough" beacons to win but all of our bots were destroyed too soon because after capturing beacons we foolishly went on the attack instead of waiting it out a couple more minutes. Few things are more frustrating than this. It's so hard to watch my teammates charging to their repeated deaths while we're holding a beacon advantage, presumably chasing higher damage rewards. But I just want to scream at them "NO! We have the advantage, make them come to us!"

But I do that less lately.

Had one of these the other day on the Moon map; maiden voyage of the Rogatka I won during the event, leveled and ready for action, and she performed excellently. With tankers on both sides, both teams were spread a little thin and fights for the beacons were intense. I think it's fair to say that I did alright on that score (new personal best for beacons in a match, too!):

I don't even pay attention to tasks anymore. They seem to get completed just by playing normally and unless I'm traveling they never seem to pile up much either.

You did very well, Vectivus... 1 beacon difference (your team's 20 vs their 19).

I noticed that in matches where I contributed something significant for my team to win, I was rewarded with gold although I am not the top damage dealer on my team. On one of those matches which happened in Shenzen, I started with a RDB Griffin and together with a Trident using teammate (I forgot what bot he's using), we supported our teammates. I managed to do a decent damage to an advancing Galahad, Stalker, Natasha until my bot got destroyed. Then I opted for my Thunder/Magnums (7/7/7/7) Leo(8) and as the reds have a center beacon advantage (3-2), My Leo walked its way to the front and there I saw my Stalker teammate which seemed undecided if it would go to the center or move left and flank with one of my teammates. I said to myself, "What the heck. I've done this before." As the battlecry Leeroy Jenkins plays on my mind, I took my Leo towards the center beacon and use its massive health in exchange for a beacon advantage. My Stalker teammate walked behind my back and then turned left as we walked towards the center. Expecting to be shredded as it usually does with reds' mid-range/long-range weapons as my Leo captures the center beacon, a Plasma Griffin jumped on top of a building in front of their spawn area and I exchanged fire with it as I charge forward towards their base. It was a close match as both sides are fighting for the side beacons. An enemy Golem joined the Griffin in taking me down while I prioritize the Griffin. My Leo's health was about half down when I moved towards the front building near their main beacon as I reload my Thunder. The Griffin was destroyed by my team mate while I managed to take down the Golem who moved close to attack. His move was favorable for my Leo as its Thunder proved lethal on such a very close distance. After taking down Golem, with a significant health left on my Leo; I went for another bold move to capture their main beacon as two reds spawned on a building next to the beacon. The beacon was now 4-1 on our favor as most of my team mates have also reached the reds' base for what appears to be a spawn raid until the dominance bar went down for the reds. The match took at least 4-6 minutes but it feels forever. Despite being a 2nd placer on the match, I believe I was rewarded with 8 golds because of capturing that beacon. I also commend my team mates as our aggressiveness resulted in our victory.

Props to that guy. I like being "that guy".. my game average is always below 190k anymore.. But I love being the dude that goes the long way around for a beacon and takes a win away like that.. and it works best towards the end of a battle, once the other team is down a couple Bots.. everyone gets super focused on the center beacon.. I will take a Galahad and run the edge for the furthest beacon and cap it, then defend it.. it is why I like to do it in a Galahad.. I have two I use all the time.. a Plasmahad and a Pin/Ork I place last most time in points, but I am usually the difference maker.. and I am good with the low points.. I just dig snatching wins up at the last couple minutes..

I do this sometimes in Yamantau. I once played on a team where me and two other teammates used our Stalkers to capture the red teams' home beacons. It was beautiful. The two red Natashas couldn't handle us. Think we won that match in under 5 minutes.
I wonder if some players don't like that... winning that quickly and not dealing much damage. I don't think anyone had over 200k damage.

Sometimes when my daughter play 'Roblox', my 4m adsl just too lag to do any damage, but my Stalker still able to steal Beacon, especially the 4th beacon.

When 2 players from the winning team have equal number of beacon captures, there is an RNG roll to decide who'll get the max beacon gold. You got lucky. There is no way to track important contributions like that.
