I see, spammers can post multiple new threads in a minute. Why don't you increase the flood control to 2 minutes ? It would slow down the spam bots and i think the members here, would not feel annoyed, that a new thread can only be created every 2 minutes !? Maybe 3 minutes would be ok too ?
And is there an option to create a custom question + answer as captcha for registering an account ?
I created such a custom Q+A on one of my sites and the spam stopped for a whole year, until someone has fed his bot manually with my Q+A, so i just changed it to a new one and no more spam again
One example question could be: How many hardpoints does a Griffin have ... etc
