Let me quantify this statement for you guys --It's annoying if you have only 30mins before work and want to get your three wins out the way -It does suck to not earn gold -You earn less silver (or rather you don't get the +50% for winning) -Your win rate goes down -One of the biggest reasons for losing is allies not capturing beacons -A higher win rate means tiering up or being matched against opponents with much better hangers
Why I don't mind losing! +You're in for a hard fight, or an epic fight! +You can totally be the hero and turn the entire game around solo +You get heaps of kills +Performing the last stand and seeing how many you can take out before time/bot out is epic +You learn to prioritise targets and minimise the amount of people attacking you +Corner shooting becomes critical and it's hilarious to melt bots who are firing at you but not hitting you +When your win rate drops, you're put into easier games! +I tend to find even if I lose a few games, things balance out and I win enough to go back to my original win rate +You realise that win rate is quite meaningless, all it really gives you is an unhealthy obsession with maintaining bragging rights
Moral of the story, chill it's a game. Give yourself more reasons to enjoy it rather than get angry about it.

I posted this not more than an hour ago in a different thread:
One thing I learned early on (table top wargames). It is ok to lose and it can be fun to lose.
5 on 6 or even 4 on 6 battles can be a real challenge, and that one in ten times that you pull it off and win are even bett

PS, also in Tabletop Gaming, I met a lot of young players who gave up very early because they were not winning straight away.

That's the problem with playing solo is that you do lose more than you'd like because you're playing with a smörgåsbord of players. Personally if we're losing, I just try to get as much damage points in. I don't mind losing to very good players, especially ones that manage to put one over me (at least I learned something new so it's a win-win). What makes me go postal is dying without being able to fire a single shot. Arrgh!

I leave games when I am actively contesting the red team to the best of my ability and trying to maintain beacon control, and then proceed to get swamped by 3-4 players because my teammates aren't even attempting to go for a beacon. Waste of my time, and the result will be the same regardless. (In gold tier btw)

Good list of reasons....it's a game and if a person gets this worked up over a game, they must be an absolute bear about things in real life. The last time I checked, getting wiped out in under 2 minutes by a much stronger red team didn't affect my real life, the sun still came up, and I still need 26million more in silver for that next lvl12 upgrade....the difference of a couple hundred thousand of silver in winning or losing that match is a just a nuisance.
I'm helping drop my win rate by playing more low gold matches vs just silver. Bouncing back and forth between silver and gold is making things interesting....and humbling when I get my clocked cleaned by a superior player or squad. Oh well.
Cheers!
