That's not an aurora, that's a nebula. Using the panorama confirms it, it's a new sky map with lots of pretty nebulas to stare at. Also the new medium bot Doc.

On twitter I told pix that now the campers will have a pretty sky to look at. And maybe they should work on some weapons instead, perhaps a long range medium energy.

They are adding Northern Lights on some of the maps. I doubt there will be snow, just too much work to generate it in-battle.
