Returning player

Hi Folks.

I'm returning to War Robots after a hiatus.  I stopped playing when Pixo made auto-repair after battles mandatory.  The slog to not lose silver from battles and the cost of upgrades had me taking a break fro the game.  I hit level 30 under the old matchmaking system with a 5 slot hanger and bots (heavies to 6, mediums to 8, and lights to 10) leveled to keep me in "silver".  I noticed the update and free gold for the event so I thought I'd give the game another go.  It looks like I might be back for a bit longer due to the new matchmaking system.  I started in at Silver and have made my way to Gold 2.  I don't see myself advancing out of Gold without a clan.  Solo queue can only get me so far.  I'm more limited by my skill than anything else.

I did chuck all the gold I had been saving at the 1k chests and opened a mega chest.  I now have a few more gold bots that need leveling.  Good thing the event tasks also hand out silver or I'd be really stuck.  See you folks on the battlefield.
