Dusted off the pothead leo for some variety and over the course of five matches did not experience the firing bug a single time. Anyone else notice this? Fluke or fixed? The firing bug is what got him benched to begin.

I tested it the day after this last iOS update and still have the bug. However it happens for me with any heavy weapon, it's the Leo by itself that explodes Aphids.
Edit: maybe the bug is related somehow to a server issue and that got changed. Will try again later tonight.

The bug is still there. It also happens on the Griffin where whenever I jump to get a better angle for Aphids, the left Aphid will explode on launch.

Tried an Aphid Thunder Leo and it might have happened once but otherwise it was working well, much better than 1/3 exploding on launch. Will test this out some more and with an Ancile to see if it continues.
On a Griffin you need to fire on the downward part of the jump otherwise you're jumping up into them.

Pot head Leo today(Android), right hand Aphid exploding 1/3 of the time, even after my Ancil got blown off, still doing it...

Happens on Geps at severe angles while strafing away. Also on jumping grids if moving upward at the early parts of a jump. Stupid aphids.

Aphids explode quite often on my Leo's right shoulder. I'll move it to left hand, just to see if is a location bug.

Seems to happen less if I launch them one at a time...still fact-finding...

Experienced this yet again earlier this evening. Right light hardpoint on Griffin. Fired them separately mid-jump. I vote not fixed yet. Doesn't happen often for me, though.

Firing one at a time doesn't seem to matter.
Next I'm going to see if it happes when moving only, try firing from standing still. On the Leo, maybe not so much impact as it might have for the Gep or Grif, though

It does seem to happen much less whe you pause-and-shoot...I do like that Pot-Head-Leo for it's ability to soak up damage...

It happens at specific angles on specific bots. Relative motion/facing of bot to Target and the flight path of the aphids plays a large part in it. Much more common occurrence as the angles move closer to oblique. Relative heights matter as well.

mmm...yes...so facing target more directly might minimize it, vs firing at the edge of the green zone

Boom!
A video for you, so you can show what does it mean. And no, it's not a pothead, it's a Thunder

Just an update if you're still on iOS. The bug seems to be avoided when single firing on my Jesse. I'd happen almost every time when firing on Moon map, but I notice it never happened when single firing. Just a heads up since this should be rectified with the next patch. I'll have to test more and use them more, since this seems to be contradicted by other posters so we can get to the bottom of this. This suggests they are colliding with themselves, so it has wonky collision boxes.

The bug seems to be avoided when single firing on my Jesse. Sweeeeet! I'm so happy about this fix. But are you implying that multi-firing is still bugged?

Thought you were Andriod giving us iOSers good news. Guessing it must be totally fixed otherwise Pix wouldn't mention it or people would've complained.
Pot head driving pot head coming up!!!
