If I'm on a losing streak in a match, what conditions must I meet to be able to leave the match without getting punished? I hate to accidently get too high in the MM and then get a repetitive smack down a few points down, win a match or two, then get pummeled for another 5 matches against Lancelots that just start to appear at the 1300 point range. When I know we're gonna lose, (basically about 2 ally bots left,or we have a tiny sliver of territory bar left and no beacons) What conditions must be met for me to leave without being seen as a tanker and punished?

I know you don't want to read this... but stop worrying about your victories percentage and your league ranking. Don't even check your own profile. Just play and take breaks from the game when you've lost a few consecutive battles.

Nah the thing is, if I see that defeat is inevitable, I don't want to prolong it and end up paying additional repair costs. If I took a break every time I got pounded a few times, I wouldn't even get halfway through the quest event.

When I see loss is inevitable I'll suicide run my remaining bots into the reds to mech out. But usually by the time I can tell the loss really IS inevitable there's so little time left it would take just as long to mech out, if not longer. So what actually happens most often is I fight that last minute anyways, get some damage in and maybe satisfy a task. If you're concerned about losing silver then just fight.

I tried to like your post but can't (I think one of my Firefox extensions is blocking scripts), so +1.

Rage leaving - what you are talking about - is still leaving. There is not way to leave a match once you have committed yourself. Once you have meched out, youcan leave but if you still have bots in the hanger, any departure will be counted against you.
Concerning repair costs - do not worry about that. It should never be more than what you earned in silver. I have not fully investigated but i believe repair cost is a percentage of your earns. Now, it will propably a percentage per bot lost.
Win or lose - fight. That is what the game is about. If your concern is costs or anything like that, all you will do is find dissatisfaction in the game. Relax and fight.

I was asking myself about repair costs, because similar damage received in different games ended up in pretty different repair costs. Must be a % of your damage as Divine Thunder says, maybe factoring in killed bots. I have never payed silver after a game, no matter how disastrous it was (like being murdered again and again while fighting solo vs six).
