Since I'm checking the game stocks anyhow, I figured I'd share. Here's how it works: if I see a stock closing price more than 1% higher than the game price (which is what it opened at) then I'll post here. You can go in and buy the stocks tonight, then sell in the morning for the gains.
Here's the one request I'm making: if you appreciated or used the tip then like the post with the tip. That's it. Just show me that simple nod of appreciation.
Also, you'd be dumb to use this advice on real stocks (because it only works for the game) and I'm not responsible if you forget to sell the stocks on-time or the game botches the numbers.
Tonight: buy TMC (EA, really) at 78.73. It should sell tomorrow for about 81.37, or +3.35% (UPDATE: Sold at 81.37!)

Fun fact: thanks to insomnia I confirmed an interesting market behavior. He graph for EA is at the right spot, but the market open is listed at 0.00, presumably because it hasn't actually opened. (Edit: confirmed as late as 5:32 AM Central US. Confirmed changed by 8:50 AM. So the game may only update pricing based on the open price of the stocks each day.)

Today's tip is here!
Bad day for the market. Only two stocks gained more than 1%. (Almost everything was down today!) XOM gained 1.63% and HPQ gained 1.65%. The dollar gain was higher on XOM, but it costs a lot more. Buy HPQ at 15.15 and sell it in the morning for 15.40. It won't be much more than the bank, but every bit helps.

Market strategy tip:
Personally, I only invest half to 2/3rds of my banked money in the market. If something goes wrong it leaves me with a bunch of working capital, but it also greatly reduces my gains. Feel free to invest whatever portion you want. Hypothetically, the way we're gaming the system it's already rigged in our favor. YMMV.

Daily stock tip: The market did even worse today than yesterday. Get your money out and leave it in the bank until tomorrow. None of them made anywhere close to even 1% gains.

a diversified portfolio is important. Not in this game, it's not. In real life diversification is important. Diversification reduces risk and stabilizes predicted gains. Here, we already know the outcome before we take action, so diversification isn't necessary unless you aren't sure that you're going to remember to sell the next day, in which case you should probably just leave your money in the bank anyhow. |

So I guess this is where we differ? I like to think of this game like I would a real investment portfolio, even if to just game the system I won't enter a trade think would be risky in real life.

I see it as a game meant to be played to the fullest extent that I can in terms of maximizing my numbers and advantage. So yeah, it's just a difference in perspective. ...Not that it's convinced me to use the web view. I can make my one post to get the interest/wages, but that's it. I'll stick to Tapatalk for the rest... |

Today's tip: The best gains in the market today were from EA, but it was only a 1.0% gain. Feel free to either snap it up to sell tomorrow at 81.51 or stay in the bank. Nothing else was even close in gains.
