So I am pretty much new to this game, have been playing for only about a week now.

Hangar details:
4 slot
Set A - For lowbie:
4 units of lvl2 cossack with lvl3/4 punisher T
Set B - For main (supposedly):
lvl2 Vityaz with lvl5 pinata and lvl5 thunder
lvl2 Patton with lvl6 pin
lvl2 Boa with lvl6 thunder and lvl4 punisher
lvl2 Boa with lvl6 thunder and lvl5 orkan (bought it from black friday lol)
In reserve:
lvl6 Griffin with lvl5/6 pin and lvl5 tulumbas (I don't want to use this yet, as it seems to pit me in a very strong tier already)
Current Ag - 10m+
Current Au - 1.8k+
WSP - 4.86k+

1) So currently I am unsure of what I should upgrade next (currently upgrading my orkan). Should I start concentrating on the bots or continue with the weapon upgrading?
2) As for the WSP, I am currently thinking of getting the magnums to replace my punisher for my Boa.
3) Lastly, any suggestion for a long range weapon that is Ag?
*Side comment: Why am I encountering some bots with lvl 9-12 aphid or magnum? (Not using my Griffin in those times) & I am not a seal clubber with my current setup yet right?

Gepards!!!! Haha jk  Anways you just got clubbed. You can upgrade light weapons to 12 / medium weapons to 9 / heavy weapons to 8. Keep bots at level 2-4 to effectively farm more importantly never bring Wsp / gold bots (except for gepard and rogatka). |

Mediums to 4, weapons to 6 (in which order is up to you^^), then 8.
Like this youll always stay in comfortable places, MM-wise.
@ag Longrange weapon: None. After you get one ore two Tarans you can consider a Trident (Golem w Trident, Tulumbas and CRV makes a decent midrange supportbot).
Oh, and those 9-12 light weapons were on Gepards... they start to thin out around 4/8 .____.
P.S: and try a Taran on a Cossack... its fun

Concentrate on weapons, both buying and upgrading. Your medium bots are fine and you can get a third boa when you get your fifth slot.
Magnums don't fit on a boa. Save up workshop points for a tarran (Best weapon on the tier you are aiming at), a punisher will do in the meantime.
You don't need long range weapons. (repeat that to yourself).

Gold-save for 5th slot
wsp-buy wsp weapons for your robots
silver-continue to upgrade your weapons to the levels that others have provided already
long ranged weapon-kwk use 2 kwk on natasha with either punishers or noricums.i wouldnt suggest doing this option but if you will have fun using it then go ahead

Match making is just wierd right now. And upgrade your weapons to level 8 then upgrade bots to level 4. You'll be fine if you do that.

Make sure you don't interpret upping to 4/8 as "yeah use your griffin", keep that big boy shelved until you hit gold tier. You will see griffins around, but for them to be versing you their weapons will be very weak. Don't get sucked into using them yourself.

About the long range weapons thing, I just wanted to setup one of my bots with long range due to the fact that I am getting tired that most/all of my allies and opponents just goes sniping throughout the whole match. Getting tired of going-in by myself and getting lynched by the whole enemy team.

Because on open maps I can't do anything with having all of my bots as close range or medium range (dying without even getting close) if you are dying to snipers all the time, either your bot levels are too low, or you are too frequently in their line of sight. Remember that this game is about beacon dominance, so if it is too risky to go out to get another beacon and your team is already 3 blue to 2 red beacons, it's sometimes better to just defend a blue beacon instead of death running to kill bots or capture another beacon |

Because on open maps I can't do anything with having all of my bots as close range or medium range (dying without even getting close) instead of long-range, bring in some Mid-Range, that way you can still stand back a bit and do some damage, but this game isn't well suited for long range. like the noricums & zenits are just horrible.. try a bot with CRV Pins, Tulumbas, Zeus, Aphids, and keep at least 250M distance from enemies by using long corridors as hunting grounds, |

My opinion:
1. At lower tier (read: below gold) sniping is just not efficient enough from a damage per sec perspective. I.e. you'll spend a lot of time doing very little damage. That means you're not helping your team and game will be boring for you
2. As stated by many above: taran is your new best friend. Stick it on your boa, stick it on your cossacks. Consider changing your 'Set A' to 4x taran cossacks - that would be pretty awesome. And tarans have such a cool sound effect too.

My actual problems are maps with the maps of Yamantau, Canyon, Springfield. I can't seem to find any good spot to go in, and our team is always the one with the lesser beacon control because none of them would go in. I just feel helpless going in and being targeted by all the other bots.
Yup, I do carry with mid range bot (Patton with CRV-Pin).

Too many campers on blue is a systemic problem that unfortunately cannot be solved by doing anything with your hanger, sorry  Just come on wiki forum to rant about it (there are plenty of threads) and move on LOL |

(Not using my Griffin in those times) & I am not a seal clubber with my current setup yet right? I am in the same boat as you. I'm using Level 3 Pattons and Boas. My weapons are on level 7. I'm seeing Gepards with Level 9-10 consistently in 90% of my matches. I would try and level up your weapons as high as possible. I don't believe your survivability will increase even if your bots are level 4 as a Lvl 9 weapon will strip you of your health even if you are attacking a Level 1 Bot. Sadly that's how MM is. One solution is to pair up with another player and take down the same targeted Bot together. Wear down the Reds till they have about 4 bots remaining and then start defending Beacons. Sniping is good to keep Reds behind covers but you don't dish out enough damage and that gets you little silvers to advance. Tarans, Mags, ECCs definitely dish out higher damages and yielding more silvers for you to advance. |

Ok then sticking with my current setup but due to the very bad MM to my current bots, I just use my 4 cossack right now and farm Ag. Usually getting 8 to 10 gold per match, if there is no gep and team is not 80% campers. One last thing, what is that medal that I keep seeing on my stats page after a match? The one above the kills.  |

If you use cossack, use Tarans.Set B - For main (supposedly):lvl2 Vityaz with lvl5 pinata and lvl5 thunder - Decent setup, can replace pinata with Magnumslvl2 Patton with lvl6 pin - Decent setup, try Pinatas also for DB Patton setup.lvl2 Boa with lvl6 thunder and lvl4 punisher - Replace Punisher T with Taran (best build for silver tier)lvl2 Boa with lvl6 thunder and lvl5 orkan (bought it from black friday lol) - Good job. Orkan is the only one worth buying. No you will not get penalised for using any sort of weapon, matchmaking penalties only apply for Knights of Camelot shield bots (galahad, Lancelot and Gareth) and WSP bots. |

If I use 4/6 thunder schutze, won't it be better if I use a medium with a thunder instead? As my tier will already be higher than the low bronze.
