Playing on Android I have a quad-core tablet and an octa-core phone. Playing fast battles where aiming is important lags on the tablet. Phone's fast, but screen is tiny of course.
Besides buying myself a new tablet, has someone tried out one of the following and can share some experience if it is worth to try or not:
- Playing using screen-cast to a tv - Playing with a bluetooth gamepad - Playing on the pc using an emulator (Memu) - other ideas?

- Playing using screen-cast to a tv
You'll get a second or 2 worth of lag between action in-game and display on the TV. Plus you cannot see where your finger tips are going on the screen. Not worth it, but full of awesomesauce if you want to show off to your friends while you interact with the [mobile device].
- Playing with a bluetooth gamepad
Not compatible with this game to my knowledge. BT Gamepad support is a very common thing to get asked for in mobile gaming in general, especially anything that resembles a 2-stick-shooter or F/3PS. War Robots would be a special case as well because of how aiming and/or firing weapons works via the GUI.
- Playing on the pc using an emulator (Memu)
This is incredibly common and there are guides on the 'Nets specific to doing so with War Robots (screen mapping is a PITA from what I've read). If you watch YouTube War Robots gameplay videos, you can tell the emu players because their 'move stick' on the screen only goes in 8 directions (mapped to WASD).

Tried to play on a samgung galaxy S7 Active. Total failure. Could not see. Could not control movements. Really could not do anything. Gone back to my ipad. Sorry, android community. Be awhile before you can shoot me off the battlefield.

I've actually got an HML Adapter (let's me mirror my Galaxy S5 to my 55' Plasma) though I haven't tried War Robots with it. The issue I'm having is all the cables for the adapter are super short, so I'd either have to sit on the floor, pull a chair right up to the TV, or have my HDMI cable stretched across the room with the adapter hanging off my phone in the air (the phone to adapter cable is maybe 2 inches at best). If you are interested in rooting your phone you can sync a PS3 (and probably PS4) controller to it, mirror your phone to a tv, and more than likely start mopping the floor with people (not sure of the process for other phones, but for the S5 rooting is required for a wireless connection, though you can use a OTG cable to hook the controller physically to the phone without rooting). On the input lag, meh. I think that term is a bit over exaggerated in gaming, but without actually having played this way on War Robots I can't say whether there is/is not any noticeable input lag. The last game I tried the adapter with was Pocket Starships, controlled like a dream. If you are really interested in trying to run War Robots through your TV though it's worth a shot. The adapter is 40 bucks or so, picked it up at Best Buy. Definitely do some research on the specs of your mobile device first, it seems older phones are more likely to be HML capable than the newer phones. Edit- I'm not completely knowledgeable on the subject, but I'm not sure a mobile game requires any form of gamepad support to use the PS3 controller (wired or wireless). It's not a simple "plug in the cable" or "hit the sync button" process, and I was under the impression all communication and translation of commands was done from pad to phone, not pad to game. That being said I've not rooted my phone, or been able to locate an OTG cable, so I have no first hand experience

If you ever want to buy a new tablet, get the nVidia Shield K1 Tablet with the Shield Controller. It has a Mini HDMI output and you can connect the tablet to the TV (no lag), and play on the Shield Controller. Many does that.

I mirror my Android to my PC which works pretty well. If you have a chromecast, you can do the same to a TV.
I've not been able to get used to the controls on emulators. Maybe it's just me, but it feels really clunky (BlueStacks).

I think everyone should at least give emulator a try, it's just too easy to not and you may never go back to touchscreen Yes, I agree... in my opinion is that there is nothing like targeting with mouse. When I switched from tablet to pc, my damage average was getting higher little by little. While ago I was in holiday trip for 5 day and "have to play" again with tablet, it was awful Like jumping sideways with RDB Griffin, unloading weapons and leading them to target was to me lots of harder.

I use MEmu as well and I recommend it to anyone struggling with turret control, small screen etc. For me, being able to circle strafe easily was the most important ability and MEmu is perfect. I also play on iPhone SE for messing around and its small screen and crappy control is just painful after playing on MEmu.

Lol, I'm still getting used to piloting the Rhino on the PC. Much better at it on tablet.

I am using an iPad with a lightning port to HDMI lead into the back of my Samsung 42" tv. The screen resolution is pretty good and allows for some fairly precise targeting - no real lag. For controls i am using a Mad Catz CTRLi controller which makes a hige difference to gameplay (mainly an improvement). The only downside is that the special ability button doesn't map to the controller so I still have to touchscreen for that. All in all the controller is much better to play with and the pros outweigh the cons so much that I am redesigning my hangar based on the positive attributes of playing with a gamepad. By the way - it's tricky getting the pad to sync to the game and I think Pixonic don't endorse and particular pad. The game would really benefit from a bit more support on these areas.
