Be kind lol. image hosting for forumsSo this is what I'm currently working with. Starting to get a decent feel for the Pins and Pinatas. I like the damage I can deal with the Pinatas, but I think I like the shorter reload time of the Pins more. I've also got 2 more level 6 Mags, and I'm gonna slap 4 on a Patton one day. Anyway, my questions. First off, what tier does this hangar put me in? Second, what bot/weapon levels can I raise (if any) while still remaining in my current tier? Lastly, what's the best bot to use to experiment with medium/heavy weaponry (again while remaining in my current tier)? In my last thread the Golem was mentioned in passing, and I do have one (level 1), but the light/medium/heavy setup is a bit off putting. I'm still totally clueless as to where I want to take my hangar. For now I will probably purchase a set of Aphids and bring them up to level 6, along with any other non Gold/WSP weapons, just to get a taste of all the light weapons. From there I'm still a good 3k from my 5th slot, and I'm not planing on making any bot purchases until I obtain said slot. Edit: I misspoke. Said Aphids when I meant AT Spirals.

Get a boa, put a thunder on it and blow stuff up. Replace the Patton with the punishers and molots as its not bringing anything to your game. For me a cossack would be preferable to the Destrier then you can get a vitayz and put those mags on with a thunder. Aim for around 4/8 and you should bring your win percentage and damage up.

Destriers are useless beyond bronze. Thunder golems, vitzyas, boas are all good knife fighter medium bots. Swap out punisher and crv Patton or pinata Patton. You don't really need that many Pattons or mid range at this point since you're likely facing a lot of Gepards. If you have wsp, purchase a couple of tarans for boas or the other two. Tarans work great in this tier due to lack of shielded bots and they are really painful and great for fighting gepard. A thunder taran magnum golem did over 60k damage on my magnum thunder Leo when we fist fight solo, it was painful. I only won because Leo is a heavy bot with over 100k health and a golem has far lesser health compared to a Leo. i walked into that thinking hah, golem in high silver, left me surprised and a couple of guns down. So if it was up to me, I would have one pinata Patton and a mix of the 3 bots mentioned, be it two boas or golems. Pinata Patton served me well till I switched into heavy bots.

I second the Boa and Thunder Combo. I would also put a Taran on it.
I'm not good with CRVs so I would go with Mags/Aphids. If you don't want to spend gold on Aphids then 4 Mags works. If you're proficient with CRV pins, I'd say stick with it.
I would recommend you upgrade Mags in background to at least Level 7 to worth your while because Patton is slow and the health isn't that fantastic so you do need to carefully pick who you're fighting with as Pattons can't take too much hits and with Mags you do need to expose your bot to dish out hits.
I would replace the Punishers with another 2 AC Molots so that I can reach out and touch Reds 600m and beyond. Generally Gepards or against Boas if you want to chip health away or get them into taking covers. If you are after AGs and gold, then you need to get up close and personal with Mags, Thunders, Aphids and dish out max damage.
I'm still at a learning stage and that's the approach I'm going with. Would love to hear what everyone else's recommendations are.

Probably low-mid Silver with that setup. 2. If you remain in med bot, you can probably upgrade your other weapons to lvl7 first. Your punishers and Molot are probably a tad too high. Try to balance your upgrades, do not focus on 1 bot as Matchmaker will consider ONLY your strongest (highest leveled) during matchmaking. 3. Punishers/Molot are sadly ineffective in higher tier, I would suggest to get that replaced asap. And also destrier, its practically useless up tier as well. And don't get Spirals, also ineffective. Use your WSP to get 4x Tarans and 4x Magnums first. You need more plasma in your setup. Then try the Boa with Taran and Thunder, or Golem, with Taran, Magnum and Thunder. 4. Yup, keep gold for slots first, then 4x Orkans (vs shield bots higher tier) before moving to other gold purchases such as bots/aphids.

Thanks for the advice everyone, here is my current setup- Attachment DeletedAs you can see, I've dropped the Punisher/Molot Patton, and it's made a pretty noticeable difference, though I'm sad to see that playstyle go. The consensus definitely seems to be Boa with a Taran+some other stuff. Currently saving my WSP for some Tarans then I'll pick up a Boa and start messing with the Golem as well. As you can see I've got an old Vityaz up and running just to get some experience using the Thunder. AT Spirals have been shelved for now as well. Thank you Zhou for clarifying my tier. Low/Mid Silver seems to be a good place for me currently, and I think I'll stay here while I bring my weapons up to 7 and work on the Tarans. Thanks again for the advice guys, as you can see its made a pretty big difference.

Get that Boa, you'll never look at the Vit again I'd honestly dump one patton too and run a Taran Cossack instead- will earn you 5 gold for most caps often, and its good for practising corner shooting (plus you'll often run into unexperienced players. Its often a matchwinner if 3 reds start chasing that annoying flea...). If you dont mind the money get a discounted Orkan from that sale. I personally prefer Orkan>Taran on a Boa... its a setup that makes reds backpedal in a panic if they show up within 150m^^

And as Klatsch mentioned, try out the Boa, you'll learn to love that toaster. Otherwise, everything looks good. Now go out and wreck some havoc.

My opinion is whether you look towards future tiers or not. With the pattons and destriers there were a lot of light weapons which don't have a place later on (even if you were crazy enough to have 5 leos you can only use 15). Therefore I would get some medium weapons (tullumbas to go with the CRV's on a griffin for example) and start upgrading them.
I regret now that I have 4 thunders upgraded to level 8. With my current hanger I really can't use that many and would have been better off spending the upgrade time on other weapons.

Not getting a lancelot any time soon (near to enough gold for a second Galahad though). I have given up on the Leo's - they are sort of the heavy equivalent of a Boa, but not as quick, and you really need quick in this game. I have a Carnage thunder. Needs more leveling and I keep swapping between thunders and tridents. (thunders do more damage, tridents don't get me killed as easily). I am not getting a second one. Only thing I can imagine is one day having 4 Lancelots. But that will be after I already have a full hanger of other stuff at 12/12.

Yeah I've been eyeballing the Griffin since before I left (I'm a couple weeks into returning from a long hiatus). I never pulled the trigger on the purchase, but for my playstyle Patton to Griffin seems like a natural progression.
And I kinda got lazy with the Pattons. I found some success with them early on and stopped trying to get a feel for anything else. Definitely a mistake.
For the moment I'm focused on getting a couple Tarans and getting my 5th slot. From there I'm gonna pick up a Boa and start familiarizing myself with medium/heavy weapons, probably throw the Golem in the mix just to have another platform for medium/heavy weapons to practice with.
And it's a good ways away, but after that I intend to start putting together a hangar for the higher tiers.
Also, I'm starting to seriously consider finding a clan, finding out people are using voice comms has me a bit excited, squading with voice comms would make me 1000% better. Just waiting for some real life craziness to die down a bit and working on my game solo for the time being.

At the tier you are on now there isn't much better.

But considering Dunk Mujunk being in silver, needs to save gold for 5th slot, think he's on the right path to get tarans first. Not many bots in silver tier that can 1v1 take down a TT boa, IMO.

Talking about voice comms, we just did 2-3 games full squad with voice comms, it was awesome. We had guys from Asia, Europe, America, Australia all in the squad and talking. Its a whole new experience altogether.

Voice comms are amazing for a game like this, and I'd imagine not all that many people are running them (though I have no idea). Quite the force multiplier.
And yeah, being an American with zero potential for out-of-country travel in the near (or far) future, it's pretty cool to be able to get to know people around the world.
